Some politicians are not pleased with how college athletes are being treated as it relates to prop bets. These players are getting hate messages when they don't come through for bettors. To me, once you start getting paid to play college sports, you're a pro. Pro's deal with this type of stuff all the time. Should something be done?

Hello Friends! I think our new dog Ross could be one of those agility dogs. This guy can fly. This is sort of a weird experience because Ross is so different than ol' Luther. That's not to say it's a bad thing. It's just a different thing. I'm not very good at being a neighbor. Is this bad? I can't really handle small talk. Plus, random radio remote stories.

I planned on discussing Bill Belichick's over/under win total for next year. But, I ended up discussing Brian Kelly's masterful work in the transfer portal. I don't know that I really love this era of college football. But, I'm warming up to it. I find myself right down the middle on NIL/Portal opinions. Also, Brian Kelly did something to help build LSU's NIL fund that was really brilliant.

Well, now that the football week is officially over, let's take a look at the contenders and pretenders. First off, how terrible was the Monday Night Football doubleheader? My god. Here we are, just a few days into our new life with Ross the pup. He's a sweet boy. He is quite obsessed with me. That said, I have felt some sort of weird guilt as it relates to having a new dog. I know that is dumb. We don't really know what breed he is. But, I think I may have found one that makes sense. How do these dogs survive on the streets?

Jilly and I watched a great Christmas Horror/Thriller that we want you all to see. For whatever reason, the recording stopped a few minutes before we finished the pod.

We had another great weekend of NFL football. The Eagles final drive was truly magnificent. Are the Texans actually good? Do the Bengals have any hope? Who will win the AFC North?

Well, I didn't expect this to happen...but, we've adopted a new pup. His name is Ross. He's super sweet and we love having him.

The greatest NFL coach of all time is now coaching the UNC Tar Heels. This is such a bizarre situation. Imagine being the best to ever do it and you get passed over for every NFL gig. To a degree, I understand why he wants to do it. Why would you want to end your career as an NFL loser? On the other hand, what if he flops in college?

Jilly and I are fresh off another successful Movies and Mexican Night in St. Louis! We saw "Y2K". I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. It was nothing special, but I enjoyed it. Here we are...It's Championship Weekend. In the past, this would feel pretty significant. But, with the CFP being what it is, most of the marquee games are essentially irrelevant.
