Does the government really care about what comes across our borders? Are there enough government facilities? Do we treat addiction as a disease? Am I trying to have a true discussion or just venting? 

Sometimes doing what is right can cause those that have loved ones in active addiction more pain than it should. This podcast tries to help those that find setting boundaries painful and blame themselves for not being able to do this deal with their emotional discomforts. 

People Tend to feel that devoting their lives to curing their loved ones' addiction is their anointed duty. This Podcast endeavors to show that this is not only an impossible   task but one that can lead to the destruction of their family structure and health.

One can not be in recovery for  a sustained period of time without working a successful program. Podcast #31 deals with some of the many programs that are available to benefit you and gives some insight into what it takes to work a successful program.

Is Addiction a disease or choice? This podcast tries to guide you in understanding the concept of this as a disease. Yes, it is complicated. I hope it sheds some light on the subject.

n your loved one is new to treatment they are probably not yet fully done with the detoxification process. This may cause them to be disrespectful to their loved ones when visitation occurs if they are in treatment and perhaps act in a manner that we perceive as irrational. Of all the devastating that you with encounter along YOUR journey as you too suffer fron this disease, the most devastating that you will encounter is the overdose. This is my feeling. This is the time that you will reach the reality that death is a frequent part of this disease. The overdose is the true awakening to the insidiousness of this disease.  

Does your loved one do what they do to intentionally cause pain to their loved one? Is what they do a part of this insidious disease? Hopefully this podcast will clarify some of the misconceptions associated with the disease.
