Are you waiting for the right conditions so start contending? Today, we look back at the Apostle Paul's circumstance when writing this letter. We will discover that regardless of the situation, God gives us the grace to step fully into what He has called us to.

Sometimes giving feels like a burden. We give and we give and there don't seem to be results. We don't feel like we are getting anything from it. Today, we will examine Paul's encouragement to the Philippian church and discover that there are great rewards for sowing into His Kingdom purposes.

When we think of Fathers, the word "strength" comes to mind. As kids, we believe that dad can lift anything, do anything, and be anything. But just because you have physical strength, doesn't mean you are actually strong. The Apostle Paul teaches us about a different kind of strength that is greater than anything we can imagine.

We need to focus on our thoughts. What we think on becomes words, actions and our character. Philippians 4:9 What you have learned and received, and heard and seen in me -practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Purposefully think on the words and promises of God.

Some of us are overwhelmed by the circumstances of our life, our future, our country. We need to cast the care of it on him. God wants us to allow joy and peace to have their way today.

As Christians we are called to a higher standard than the world. We are called to contend for others because we love them. We are called to look at our brothers and sisters through the eyes and with the mind of Christ.

The right leadership is so important to success. The Apostle Paul tells us about a bad leader called the god of the stomach. But Jesus left us a better leader in the person of the Holy Spirit. On this Pentecost Sunday, invite the Spirit to be the leader of your life.

We need to model our faith. But we can’t stop there. We are called to impart our faith to others. On this Mother’s Day, we will hear about a mom who did just that and learn how to do the same.

Today we are contending for the progress God has for us. Don't get stuck. Instead make forward progress!

Contending is more than an idea. It is more than wishful thinking. Contending is fighting for something. And at some point on the journey, contending involves risk. Today, we will discover that anything worth fighting for is worth risking for.

As we Contend, we shouldn't just be contending for things to improve. We should be contending for things to be made new. Today on Baptism Sunday, we learn about the importance of joining in the death and resurrection of Jesus. This is more than a religious symbol; it is a supernatural event in the life of a believer.

As we contend for what God has for us, we also need to contend for what God wants to do in us. The Apostle Paul tells us to "work out our salvation". Today, we will learn why that is important and the impact it has not only on our life, but in the lives of others.

We live in a selfie culture. It is self-promoting, self-assuring, and self-focused. But we aren't called to contend with that kind of minset. Instead, Kingdon Culture teaches us a different path. It is the path Jesus took and it is called: The Way Up Is Down.

When we walk through difficult circumstances, it's natural to wonder, "where is Jesus?". In John 20, Mary came to the empty tomb wondering the same thing. What she didn't realize is that Jesus was there all along. This Easter, discover the same truth in your own life - "He's Right There!"

Contending wasn't meant to happen alone. In today's message, we will discover the power in contending together. We will see what can happen when we stop trying to do it alone, but instead invite others into our journey. And we will see what can happen when we fight along side others in their journey.

Today we look at what it is to Magnify Christ and how Paul did in his faith, in his fix and in his freedom. In our freedom through Christ we want Christ to be magnified!

What do we do when we find ourselves in predicaments that are less than desirable? For many, they give up on their mission, their faith, and their purpose. But there's a better way...turn your predicaments into platforms! Listen as we examine Paul's situation and what he did to stay the course as an ambassador of Christ.

We try to leave peaceful lives, right? But there are times for peace and there are times to fight. In this message, we discover the power of standing up for what is right. As we stand, we learn to contend for what God has for us.

What do we do when things go wrong? Do we shake our fists at heaven and blame God? Today, we will discover there's a response that produces far greater results. We need to contend, not with fists, but with Open Hands.
