A Sure Hope

In today’s message, Pastor Dave speaks more about “Blessed Assurances”. One of them is the ability to not only go to The Lord with a request but to do it boldly. And the best part is that we’re told that He listens! And, that he will give you what you want as long as it’s in accordance with his will!

It’s hard to put your full trust into something without knowing what comes with it. We like to follow things that come with a promise we know will never be broken. Today, Pastor Dave wants you to know that Jesus died on the cross to take away your sins and give you the assurance of eternal life if you believe in Him.

Do you ever feel like no matter how much you search for happiness, you never find it? He came onto earth as a man to take our sins and give us the assurance that we can have eternal life through Him.

In the world around us, we are often bombarded with many conflicting ideas about who Jesus was. Some say that he was just a man, others say that he was some kind of “superhero.” In today’s message, Pastor Dave explains how we are assured that Jesus is who he says he is: God incarnate and the Word among us.

As Christians, it’s easy to forget that we are given assurances and certainties guaranteed through Jesus. But we’re called to love them anyway! Besides, if someone wasn’t worth loving because of a mistake; would God still love you?

The most important way for you to show God’s love for others is to show others the same love God gives you! “Agape” (ah-ga-pay); unconditional love for others, even those who’ve wronged you.

How, if a “Christian” hold only anger and spite toward a neighbor; it demonstrates a disregard for God’s love in their own life!

Pastor Dave uses Cain and Able as an example of how God’s love works within us, and how you can spot a “fake Christian” by how they demonstrate God’s love to others.
