50/50 Films

Peter and Autumn spent Easter weekend marathoning the Star Wars prequels! This (long) episode is full of all of their thoughts about The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith, plus many sound effects provided by Peter. 

This week Peter and Autumn discuss two movies from the early 2010s: one comedy and one action movie. During the media break they gush about Ted Lasso. 

This week's episode features two romance focused movies. Notting Hill is a 1999 classic rom com starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant while Weathering With You is a 2019 anime film with a teenage romance at its center. 

Autumn and Peter recap their Coda and King Richard experiences before diving into the 2022 Oscars, including commentary on the slap that everyone is talking about, the best jokes of the night, and how they feel about the winners in the major categories.

This past week we went to the movie theater to watch Uncharted. Later on we watched the film Being the Ricardos based on Lucille Ball and Dezi Arnaz which is up for Oscars for best actress, best actor, and best supporting actor. 

This week we took a break from watching Oscars Best Picture Nominees to watch some other 2021 releases we've been hoping to get to soon. Beautiful male friendships is the unintentional theme of this episode. 

*in which Peter may or may not confuse Judi Dench for Maggie Smith...but he definitely thought that was Maggie Smith in Belfast regardless 😂 This week we watched our fifth and sixth of the ten Oscars Best Picture Nominees for 2022.  Spoilers in this episode for:  Nightmare Alley (2021) Belfast (2021) *Peter also spoils a little bit of Love Is Blind season 2 during the media break.
