This week's request comes courtesy of Alyssa. We're revisiting this 90's era mainstream thriller, starring Al Pacino and a pre-Matrix Keanu Reeves.

We picked this movie because he had such a prominent role. Have a look at yet another Stephen King adaptation and see how it stacks up to the book.

To be fair, Kirk Douglas is a legend. And so is Brian De Palma, the director. And so is John Williams, the composer. Actually, this film had a lot going for it, but as De Palma's follow-up to Carrie, we were left wanting.

We really wanted to fall in love with Making Contact (originally titled Joey), but it just didn't make any damn sense. Still, the fantastic visuals, cinematography and ambition previews good things to come later.

It turned out to be much scarier than we remembered, making it a perfect selection to continue our month of family-friendly horror films. And the remake is on the way, so we'll see how it measures up to the original.

What starts out as a simple ghost story takes a sharp and somewhat baffling turn. But what we can say about The Watcher In The Woods is that it's definitely unique and controversial - and Bettie Davis' role as Mrs. Aylwood is iconic.

A bunch of kids are humanity's last hope to close the gates of hell, which they have inadvertently opened, thanks to an unlikely string of coincidences. Have a listen to see if it lives up to Craig's memories!

Sure, it's a bunch of girls in a sorority house getting stalked by a killer. But this incredible combination of Black Christmas, Halloween, Friday the 13th, and I Know What You Did Last Summer comes wrapped in a definite Hitchcockian vibe, which just elevates this material to something greater than the sum of its parts.

Alligator has nothing remarkable about it, except that there are some remarkable people involved in it, and it has an inexplicable 80% plus fresh rating at Rotten Tomatoes. Who can figure this out? We can't.

This is Jim Carrey's big breakthrough - his first starring role as a frustrated teenage virgin who can't get his girlfriend to give it up, so he turns to a female vampire instead and gets more than he bargained for. It's goofy as hell and 80's through-and-through, which means we more or less loved it.

Perfect for the season, and also a "perfectly serviceable film" by our standards, with a "smooookin' hot" guy leading the action.

We're resurrecting Rob Zombie's first full-length feature film, House of 1000 Corpses, and tearing it limb from limb. But mostly we're enjoying Haig's turn as the wacky-yet-intimidating Captain Spaulding, the clown with a murder ride in his gas station. Fried chicken, anyone?

We love this Canadian teenage werewolf story from the early aughts. Happy Halloween season!
