Vertical Chapel Sermons

This powerful message reminds us that the gospel is not about turning bad people into good ones, but about bringing dead souls to life through Christ. We're challenged to confront our sin, recognizing it as a problem we can't solve on our own. The good news is that Jesus offers us grace - a resource we desperately need but can't supply ourselves.

As we approach Easter, we're called to prepare our hearts for a spiritual battle. This message, rooted in Joshua 3, challenges us to consecrate ourselves, just as the Israelites did before entering the Promised Land. We're reminded that God is about to do amazing things - transforming lives, restoring marriages, and breaking addictions. But to witness these miracles, we must get our hearts right t...

Are we living our faith as active participants or mere spectators? This powerful message challenges us to shift from a 'cruise ship' mentality to that of a 'fishing boat.' Drawing from 1 Corinthians 12, we're reminded that every believer is a vital part of the body of Christ. Just as each body part has a unique function, we all have a special role to play in God's kingdom.

In this powerful message, we're challenged to embrace the true essence of the gospel and our role as followers of Christ. The central theme revolves around Jesus' mission to 'seek and save the lost' (Luke 19:10) and how we're called to participate in this mission. We're reminded that our salvation isn't about us finding God but about God finding us in our lostness.

In our journey of faith, we often struggle with priorities and order in our lives. This message challenges us to examine who or what sits on the throne of our hearts. Are we truly putting God first, or have we allowed other things - even good things like family or church - to take His place?

This sermon challenges believers to consider how they are living their lives, focusing on the concept of the "dash" between one's birth and death dates. It emphasizes the importance of living purposefully, using God-given talents and opportunities to fulfill one's calling.

In this encouraging message, we're challenged to truly understand what it means to 'play for Team Jesus.' Drawing from Matthew 4:19-20, we see Jesus calling His first disciples with the simple yet profound invitation: 'Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.' This call isn't just about belief, but about a complete transformation of our lives.

In this message, we're challenged to examine our stewardship of God's gifts - our time, talent, and treasure. The parable from Luke 16 reminds us that we're managers, not owners, of what God has entrusted to us. How are we using these resources for eternal impact? The world often manages its resources more shrewdly than believers do. It's time for a shift in perspective: we don't have to give, we...

In this powerful message, we're challenged to become 'oaks of righteousness'—strong, stable believers deeply rooted in God's truth. The central image comes from Isaiah 61:3, comparing mature Christians to mighty oak trees. We're asked to consider whether we are truly planted in God's soil or merely potted plants, easily uprooted when challenges arise.

In this message, we're challenged to reconsider our understanding of worship and purpose. The central theme revolves around the idea that our ultimate purpose is to glorify God, not ourselves. Drawing from Revelation 4, we're reminded of the heavenly scene where elders cast their crowns before God's throne. This imagery serves as a powerful metaphor for how we should live our lives – constantly gi...

This sermon explores the importance of diversity and unity within the church as core values. It emphasizes that God's church is meant to be both multicultural and multi-generational, reflecting the full image of God.

In this powerful message, we're reminded of the story of Elijah on Mount Carmel from 1 Kings 18. Just as Elijah prayed persistently for rain after a long drought, we too are encouraged to believe for breakthrough in our lives. The central theme revolves around the idea that God is bringing a spiritual rain - a revival - to our church and our lives. We're challenged to 'believe big, look long, impa...

In this powerful message, we're challenged to embrace the concept of being 'touched' by God. The central theme revolves around Acts 4, where the early church faced opposition but responded with bold prayer. We're reminded that when God's hand is upon us, three things happen: we're shaken, filled, and emboldened.

In this message, we're reminded of the transformative power of prayer in our spiritual lives. The central theme revolves around Jesus' declaration in Mark 11 that His house should be a 'house of prayer.' We're challenged to consider whether our lives truly reflect this calling. The message highlights three key aspects of prayer: it brings supernatural peace, provides supernatural protection, and r...
