The Tanach Project

The year 2023 from creation is a pivotal year. When Abram, Sarai (and Lot) head southwest to the Land of Israel. The journey. The promises. The fame. The prophecies. The famine. The beauty. The gamble. The test.

The tower. The language(s). The faulty logic. The apes. The dispersion. The Shem family. Life spans shorten. Avram. His dad. His wife. The fire. And we're running out of time...

The beginning of humanity and civilization as we know it. The drunk. The abuse. The curse. The families. The story of humanity.

Noah doesn't make it easy for Hashem. Noah doesn't want to continue humanity and Hashem is almost up to begging him and his children to believe in the future once again.

Noah's hesitancy. Hashem's decision. What's the point? The "six seasons" of the year. When meat became permitted. Suicide warning. The preciousness of human life. Humanity episode 2.

The chronology of the flood. The lion's bite. The jealous raven. The mountain peak. What happened on Rosh Hashanah? How did olive trees grow so quickly?

The first documented Shiva in history. Noah the semi believer. Don't share all the compliments. When the universe went black for 40 days! And what's up with the garbage?

Who was Noah? What's his uniqueness. The dimensions and details of the ark. 120 year prep. Food galore.

Longest lifespan ever. The birth of Noah and the invention of the plow. Children at 500. The giants. The uber giants (former angels). When animals were no longer afraid of humans. The collapse of civilization. Hashem's thoughts. Thank G-d for Noah!

What a Lemechel looks like. The strange death of Cain. Marriage counseling with Adam. Seth. The chronology of humanity. The early death which was a blessing.

Arguably the strangest story in the Torah. A Lemech, his two wives, first (failed) contraceptive, how music came about. And who cares?

The Scary Cherubs. Birth of Cain, Abel and their sisters, the argument about what G-d prefers. The messy murder scene. The banishment. The letter of Hashem's name. The first grandchild - chanoch.

The birth of the first marriage (and baby). The jealous serpent. The seduction. The consequences. The fig-leaf clothing. The name of the first woman.

How rain came to be. A detailed creation of man. Story of Eden. And the naming ceremony.

The seven days of creation in under 10 minutes.
