The Spoken Word

Impacting lives for eternity through the teaching of God's Word that His people might be established to express and advance His Kingdom.

The Bible calls for us to examine ourselves to test whether we are truly living in faith and if Jesus' Spirit abides in us. This evaluation ensures that our trust is in Christ rather than our own works and can lead to repentance or assurance. In today's lesson God calls Abraham to such an examination, which results in him being found faithful and leading to God showing us how He will provi...

I believe that before we enter into a wilderness, a desert, trials or tribulations, God seeing ahead, will give us a word to encourage us, to fill us with hope, to help us recognize His hand in our lives when it comes to past. We have to remember and cast away our confidence despite any opposition we may encounter. Trust in the Lord, seek Him daily, be receptive to godly counsel and be doers of th...

Take heed how you interact with others. Walk in the light as God is in the light in order that you might represent Him well before others. Avoid being deceitful and encouraging others to be deceitful. Let every action and every response be born of righteousness and a desire to maintain justice, through a clear conscience and a commitment to doing what is right in the eyes of God, that He might be...

The Bible admonishes us to be watchful and to examine ourselves to make sure that we are operating in faith. That means, hearing God, trusting Him, and obeying His commands. We have to take care to put to death all the deeds of the flesh because it is easy to resort back to our old ways and that could be catastrophic, not only for ourselves but for others as well. Fear, which has torment, can lead...

Learn to walk in love, to be hospitable, to take advantage of opportunities to present and receive the love of God. Avoid sinning because it has serious consequences and be prayerful and willing to be available to make intercession for others. Listen, to hear from God and immediately obey what He commands, don’t look back longingly for yesterday when God offers you a bright future or you just migh...

In today's message we see the angels sent to destroy Sodom, Gomorrah and the plains, because of their wickedness, but they cannot perform their assignment until Lot, and his family are delivered out of harm's way. This is one of the testimonies that lead us to believe that God will deliver the Church out of the wrath to come upon the world. God always makes a way of escape, and He makes it...

The stage is set, the curtain goes up, the scene is one of depravity, perversion, and wickedness. The hearts and motives of all of Sodom is laid bare and God’s agents are going to respond accordingly. How can we escape the wrath of God? We can escape solely through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, Who God has sent to us, even as He has sent the angels, for Abraham’s sake to save Lot. What the...

God is intentional and purposeful in all that He does. He visits us and there is an appropriate way to receive and respond to it in order that we might get from Him what He intends. Take care to be sensitive, to recognize His voice, to follow His instruction so that we can fulfill His plan and purpose. Make sure that you pass on to others what He reveals to you because His plans and purpose go bey...

Have you ever experienced the presence of God, how were afterwards? People talk about changes in their lives from near death experiences, but when God manifests Himself to you that is real occasion for change. We should remember the things He declares, trust in what was spoken or shown and should be driven to prayer for the will He has made known to come, to manifest and fulfill what He has decree...

The Bible teaches us that as representatives of the Kingdom we should be loving, compassionate, hospitable and not prone to argue. We are admonished in these things for good reason, we represent an ever present and watchful God, Who invites us to His kingdom and Who has made great and precious promises and our hearts should always be right to be able to enter into His presence on behalf our others...

God’s choice of us, like His choice of Abram, was intentional. He says that He trusted Abraham to teach his children and descendants to follow the way of the Lord. He has chosen us to teach our children, training them up in the way they should go, to teach others, making disciples and teaching them to obey all that He teaches us. From the beginning He has wanted a people set apart unto Himself; in...

The Spoken Word - March 10, 2026

God will be faithful to every covenant and promise He establishes with humanity, but He will fulfill them in His timing not ours, and nothing can prevent it, not even old age. But, we are required to walk faithfully with Him, be totally obedient to what He commands, and His receive with meekness His engrafted word which through its transformative power redefines our identity.

As we close out our study in Genesis 16, let us remember that we have a sure future, based on certain promises, and trust in Him Who not only sees and hears us, but also is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we can hope and believe and wait on Him (actively) and be of good courage.

Learn to trust in the promises of God, stand on them, wait on Him, rehearse them in your own hearing. God's timing is perfect, even when you think the promise is in delay. Don't try to help God but follow His instructions. Don't run out on the fight, stand, persevere, and see His salvation.

Sometimes we get impatient waiting on God to fulfill His promises to us, this can lead to doubt or us attempting to take matters into our own hands rather than waiting on His timing. Without faith we cannot please God, faith requires waiting on and trusting in God. Trust helps us know that God sees us and that He will not overlook us nor withhold no good thing from us. When we don’t trust this sho...

God is not slow or negligent in fulfilling His promises; there is a specific, predetermined time for every season under heaven. God has a purpose for every activity and event in life. When God determines something then, it will occur, and in the time appointed for it, not prematurely nor late. We then, must learn to wait on the Lord’s timing trusting that He will do the thing that He has purposed....

We have been shown how trusting God leads to our being made right with Him. In God’s word we have great and precious promises by which we become partakers of His very nature and in how God deals with Abram we see the certainty of God’s promises and how God meets us in our doubt, assuring us of God’s faithfulness and the seriousness of His promises. This trusting in God’s “great and precious promis...

The Spoken Word February 25, 2026 - Impacting lives for eternity through the teaching of God's Word that His people might be established to express and advance His Kingdom.

In this chapter we five core doctrines that underpin our faith, reminding us of its importance, the necessity of leadership, as well as God’s role in guiding and protecting those who trust in Him through all of life’s challenges and obstacles through Abram’s battle, his rescue of Lot, his refusal to depend on the ungodly instead of God, and his encounter with Melchizedek, the priest/king.

We are engaged in spiritual warfare, not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. We have been given weaponry which are not carnal (fleshly or worldly) but are mighty through God for pulling down strongholds, casting down imaginations, and bringing every though into captivity to the o...
