The Same Old Dolphins Show

With Jon-Eric Sullivan now in place as the Miami Dolphins' new General Manager, the Dolphins find themselves front and center in the search for a new head coach alongside seven other NFL franchises. Aaron and Josh are back to discuss the Sullivan hiring and where the Dolphins stand in the landscape of NFL head coach vacancies. Then they go through their top five head coach candidates based on thei...

They actually did it! After dragging his feet a little bit, Stephen Ross finally decided to fire Mike McDaniel, stating that he feels the franchise is in need of COMPREHENSIVE CHANGE. At long last, that change is coming. Aaron and Josh react to this news, discuss potential head coach candidates (OH HI, JOHN HARBAUGH), and look at the Dolphins' final four GM candidates. All of this and more on a br...

**WARNING: PROFANITY** We're opening up the phone lines and the SUPERCHATS for this one! Black Monday has come and gone and all signs point to Mike McDaniel returning to Miami as the head coach of the Dolphins. The giveaweay? MCDANIEL HIMSELF DECLARING THAT HE WILL BE INVOLVED IN THE SEARCH FOR A NEW GM! The Miami Dolphins are an absolute joke of a franchise and this is yet more evidence that the...

After a long season or mostly disappointing results, the Miami Dolphins head to Foxborough to take on the New England Patriots in Week 18. With the Patriots still fighting for the #1 overall seed in the AFC playoffs, they figure to be going all out, while the Dolphins have only their pride and individual contract incentives to play for. On its face, it seems like a lopsided matchup. But the Dolphi...

The Miami Dolphins closed out the home portion of their 2025 season on Sunday with a 20-17 victory over the fading Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The win lifts the team to 7-9 with one game remaining before what has the potential to be a franchise-altering offseason. More important than the result itself on Sunday was HOW the team won: with numerous young players making significant contributions. De'Von Ac...

The Miami Dolphins made a heavily publicized change at quarterback in the aftermath of their Monday night loss to Pittsburgh. The result? Well, it was simply more of the Same Old Dolphins. While Quinn Ewers looked fine in the first half, the Dolphins delivered another of their signature "turd quarters," allowing the Bengals to put the game out of reach before the 4th quarter began. Once Miami was...

It finally happened – Tua Tagovailoa has been demoted to third string emergency quarterback and QUINN EWERS will become the Dolphins' 27th starting quarterback since Dan Marino retired. Aaron and Josh are back to discuss what this means for Tua, Mike McDaniel and the Miami Dolphins going forward. Then there's time for a quick look ahead to Sunday's game – the first time under Mike McDaniel that th...

Once again, the Dolphins had a chance to change the narrative and win a tough game on the road in the cold. Once again, they failed miserably. Josh reacts.

The Miami Dolphins' current four-game win streak has earned them the right to call their Monday night clash with the Steelers a "do-or-die narrative buster." The stakes are high for the team, as they fight to keep their fleeting playoff hopes alive, but they're arguably bigger for head coach Mike McDaniel, who has repeatedly failed to properly prepare his team for December road games against legit...

***WARNING: PROFANITY*** Raise your voices and sing the song – the Miami Dolphins absolutely crushed the NY Jets in Week 14 to improve to 6-7 and keep their fleeting playoff hopes alive. Mike McDaniel's reinvented Dolphins team (mostly) attacked the Jets on the ground, rushing for a season-high 239 yards on 41 attempts. De'Von Achane was lighting it up before leaving the game with a rib injury. Th...

It's time once again to sing the song. **WARNING: Profanity** The Miami Dolphins make the trek to New Jersey to take on a team that supposedly represents the great city of New York, but that is in actuality the little brother to the equally inept Giants. That's right – it's Jets week. While fortunes have turned around somewhat for the Dolphins (and to a lesser extent, the Jets), this is still a ma...

For the second consecutive game, the Miami Dolphins did just enough to win or, depending on how you look at it, saw their opponent do just enough to lose. Either way, Miami's 21-17 win over the New Orleans Saints extended their win streak to three games and saw the Dolphins improve to 5-7 on the season. While the odds of their making the playoffs remain minuscule at best, hope remains alive in the...

With the bye week now behind them, the Miami Dolphins are back to work preparing for the final six games of the season. First up: the struggling New Orleans Saints. On its face, this looks like matchup that favors the Dolphins. The Saints' offense has been largely out of sorts all season, save for the work of WR1 Chris Olave. Tyler Shough took over at quarterback from Spencer Rattler and has been...

The Miami Dolphins have reached their bye week for the 2025 season sitting with a disappointing 4-7 record and having already parted ways with their GM. With six games left in the season, now is a good time to look at what the possible paths forward are for the Dolphins, both for the remainder of the 2025 season and beyond. Aaron and Josh are back with their thoughts on what those possibilities lo...

If you watched the Dolphins in Sunday morning's game against the Commanders, you saw two evenly matched teams struggle their way through 60 minutes of football. It wasn't so much a war of attrition as it was a struggle to see who could screw up the least. Ultimately, despite some curious play calling and decision making from Mike McDaniel, the Dolphins came out victorious in overtime. Rather that...

It's incredible what a single week featuring a surprisingly commanding victory over a top-tier opponent can do! Suddenly, a segment of the Dolphins' fan base has their heads in the clouds thinking of magical possibilities for the 2025 season. A win in Spain over the struggling Commanders may very well send the Dolphins into the bye week believing anything is possible. The truth is that the road is...

Well...we did not see that coming. The Miami Dolphins played their best game of the season and WHOOPED the Buffalo Bills 30-13 in Week 10. They offered solid performances in all three phases and were helped by Buffalo committing uncharacteristic errors. The result was satisfying for a good portion of the Dolphins' fan base, offering catharsis in a season where it's been hard to come by. Of course,...

When news broke Monday morning that the Miami Dolphins had traded Jaelan Phillips to Philadelphia for a 3rd round picks in the 2026 draft, most Dolphins fans expected at least one more trade to free up cap space and add draft capital. None materialized. Now the Dolphins find themselves in a division with the dominant Buffalo Bills, a resurgent New England Patriots team, and the NY Jets, who are lo...

FINALLY! After another embarrassing loss (this time at home and on a national broadcast), Stephen Ross finally announced on Friday that he and the Miami Dolphins were parting ways with General Manager Chris Grier. Champ Kelly was assigned the role of Intern General Manager and on Monday morning we learned he had completed a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles that sent DE Jaelan Phillips to Philade...

Well...that was unexpected. The Miami Dolphins absolutely dominated the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, earning a decisive 34-10 victory in the process. After looking out of sorts and disinterested the previous week, the Dolphins bounced back in a big way. While it was a very strong performance, how much of it was down to the Dolphins making adjustments and how much of it was due to the Atlanta Falcons...

It's been another banner week in Miami Dolphins Land! Darren Waller headed to IR, Tua Tagovailoa admitted he struggles to see over his offensive linemen, and Mike McDaniel is still, well, Mike McDaniel. This week, the Dolphins head north to Atlanta to battle the Falcons. Can Miami slow down the dynamic Bijan Robinson? Will Michael Penix find Darnell Mooney and Drake London over and over again? Wha...

***WARNING: Profanity*** After another dismal showing by the Miami Dolphins in Cleveland on Sunday, it has never been clearer that the time for change for the team is RIGHT NOW. Unfortunately, owner Stephen Ross continues to be loyal to a fault, refusing to move on from his recently extended head coach without giving him "a fair amount of time to turn this around." Will any changes be made? If so,...

Cleveland is often referred to as the "mistake by the lake." This Sunday's game in Cleveland between the Dolphins and the Browns might very well be called the same thing as both teams enter the game with matching 1-5 records. For the Dolphins, the week leading up to the game has been particularly noisy. Tua's comments to the press following Sunday's loss caused a significant uproar, but trade rumo...

Another day, another Dolphins loss. And, once again, we saw familiar themes. A struggling defense, a disjointed offense, a failure to adjust, and a team incapable of closing the deal. There is plenty of culpability to go around: your WR1 can't consistently catch the ball cleanly, the defense is absolute trash against the run, the offensive line struggles to execute, the "franchise" QB misses open...
