The Coolangatta Church Sunday Sermon

Brad continues from verse 17 of Ephesians chapter 2, preaching on Jesus being the cornerstone. We (all followers of Jesus) are the building of the church, and Christ is the foundation by which it is built!

Brad continues to pull apart chapter 2 of Ephesians with verse 11-16, explaining what separated the early church (jews and gentiles) and that with Jesus we are now all one.

A quick break from Ephesians this week. Brad speaks about the body of the Church and how we should be coming to church, ready to serve, filled with the Spirit. *Disclaimer. Errors occurred during the recording process: The introduction to the sermon is missing and 5 minutes in the middle (at around the 13 minute mark) is also missing.

Adam reads through Ephesians Chapter 2 verses 1-10, and also references Genesis and Romans. If we trust in God and let him lead us, His plans for us will be good!

Happy new year! Brad starts us off with a reading of Ephesians chapter 2. As we begin 2026, we should be letting the Lord guide us through the year right from the start.

Brad gives a quick summary of what we've covered in chapter 1 of Ephesians and then reads from Psalm 139. God desires intimacy with His people and it's us that need to make time to be with Him.

Adam tracks back for a moment back to verse 12 and continues through towards the end of the chapter. Adam talks on how this is actually 'Apocalyptic' literature but not in the way we might think initially, and how Paul responds to the gospel by praying for spiritual wisdom.

A smaller message today as Brad talks about how we could be tricked by 'following our heart' therefore we must point our hearts in the right direction towards our creator. The first chapter of Ephesians is also nearing it's end, Brad reading out the prayer that Paul writes from verse 15.

Brad gives a quick recap of what we've covered so far in Ephesians and then continues on pulling apart the chapter from verse 11 to 14.

Brad covers verses 9 & 10 of Ephesians chapter 1, in particular talking about Christ summing up all things.

As the series continues on Ephesians, Adam preaches today on verses 7 & 8 of Ephesians chapter 1.

Brad continues to pull apart Ephesians Chapter 1:4-6, how we are adopted by God.

Brad looks at the next couple of verses of Ephesians, continuing from verse 4. The Bible has a lot of content within, and sometimes it can seem like there are tensions between different verses and their meanings. God has chosen his people no matter how they interpret the scripture.

Brad pulls apart Ephesians 1:3-4. God has already blessed us, our response should be to bless and praise Him!

Adam starts our in depth reading on the Book of Ephesians, focusing on just the first two verses. Although brief, these verses contain deep meaning about identity, authority, and grace and peace in Christ.

Brad gives an overview of the structure and content of the book of Ephesians as we prepare to dive in and pull it apart over the coming weeks. A video by 'Bible Project' was shown during the service which gives a great illustrative overview of the book of Ephesians. Brad and Martha introduce a new series on the book of Ephesians, reading through the book from start to finish. Over the coming weeks, Ephesians will be pulled apart further.

Adam continues on from Brad's previous sermon on the Sabbath and refers to when 'Rest' is noted and commanded in the Bible in both the new and old testament.

Brad talks about the Sabbath. Why did God make the Sabbath? What did it mean for people in the time of the old testament, and what does it mean to us under the new covenant?

Brad speaks on Fathers day and seeks to encourage dads. What does the bible say about fathers and what is God like as our heavenly Father?

Adam continues in the spiritual discipline of reading the Word. This week focusses on why it's important to not only read, but also memorise scripture.

Adam continues the series on reading the Word. Today he speaks on some more techniques that we can and apply when approaching the bible to get the most out of reading the Word to help become closer to our Father.

Brad speaks on meditating on the Word; what it means for us as readers of the bible and how we can apply it to grow in our relationship with our heavenly Father.

Adam picks up from last week continuing on the subject of reading the Word. Today talking about 'Resting in the Word' in the sense of taking time to read and digest Word of God.  This sermon has periods of interaction from the congregation, leaving some parts of it silent as the microphone cannot reach the whole room.

Brad gives an introduction to how we can approach the bible with the assistance of a Bible Project video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ak06MSETeo4&list=PLdH5S7art83m8V4cvQqzBO1oIfsdmWKib An overview is given on the Bible's order of books within and who these books are written to.
