Jacob #3 - Jacob meets his match in Laban, who tricks him repeatedly. Yet God remains faithful to His promises. Through Jacob’s suffering and setbacks, God exposes Jacob’s old patterns of sin and begins reshaping him into someone who can truly receive and share blessing. Even when Jacob relies on superstition or his own schemes, God graciously provides and protects, turning deception into the path...

Jacob #2 - In this passage, Jacob must leave his home in the promised land after tricking his brother, Esau, into selling him his birthright and stealing Esau’s blessing from Isaac for himself. Now, Jacob is facing poverty and danger instead of the power and prosperity that he was promised. In this moment where everything is going wrong for him, Jacob meets with God. He sees that there is a connec...

Beyond the Manger #3 Memory Verse: “God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in [Jesus], and through him to reconcile himself to all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” - Colossians 1:19-20 Learn more about the Bridge Church: Website: https://thebridgechurch.hk/ Music from Uppbeat: https://uppbeat.io/t/all-good-folks/lim...

Beyond the Manger #1 - Hope. In the midst of tragedy, it can seem wrong to talk about hope. But the hope that is rooted in the truth of the gospel is so much more than just a nice feeling. It is the shocking reality that God himself came to earth as Jesus Christ to save us. A conviction in that truth gives us hope, no matter what. Jacob #1 - This sermon walks through the messy story of Isaac’s family in Genesis 25 and 27, where favoritism, scheming, and deception tear relationships apart. Yet even in the middle of all that brokenness, God’s purposes still prevail—He brings blessing through Jacob just as He promised. The message reminds us that while sin has real consequences, our failures don’t get the last word because God...

Abraham #6 - As cruel as God’s test for Abraham seems on the surface, this sermon shows how it is actually a gift of grace from God. God spares Isaac’s life, but he does not spare his own Son. Jesus dies on the cross to save us. God didn’t spare His Son, His only Son, from you. Abraham #5 - In today’s passage, Abraham and Sarah see that Almighty God is capable of doing the impossible and keeping his promises when they have their son, Isaac. A couple thousand years later, this same Almighty God sends another baby to earth, another long-awaited promised child. Jesus Christ is another promised fulfilled, but this time it is a promise for joy and hope and salvation to the wh...

Abraham #4 - In today’s passage we see Abraham and Sarah doubt God’s promise to give them a child. We see them reenact the story of the fall from Genesis 3 and the pain their lack of faith causes others. Most of all, we see a compassionate God who faithfully loves the unfaithful and the hurting. Abraham #3 - Sometimes following Jesus can feel like it is costing us greatly. We can start to doubt if God’s promises to those who love Him will be true for us. In today’s Bible passage, Abraham doubts the promises God has made him. God is gentle and kind and reassures Abraham by establishing a covenant with him. And God extends a new covenant promise to us through Jesus Christ. Jesus dies in our...

Abraham #2 - In this passage, Abraham and Lot represent two ways we can live. Abraham’s faith in God and His promises allows him to give up his right to choose the land he settles in. He gifts the choice to Lot. Lot makes the best decision he can for himself based on what he thinks looks good. Will we live according to God’s wisdom, even when it seems like we are losing out? We can live for the go...

In the Beginning #5 - In this passage, God tells Abraham to leave his home and follow. Through his obedience, Abraham is blessed to be a blessing to the whole world. When God calls us to follow Him, we should respond with humility and gratitude. As we follow Him, we should always remember that whatever blessings He gives us are not meant for us to store up for ourselves. God blesses us so that we...

In the Beginning #4 - Technology is advancing and humanity is excited about it’s potential. But this isn’t the first time in history we have been here. Today’s passage tells of another time in history when people were excited about a new technology and what they would be able to accomplish with it. The story of the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11:1-9 shows us that we cannot build our own value on our...

In the Beginning #3 - In the story of Noah and the flood, God sends judgement on humanity. The idea of a God who judges is difficult for us to reconcile with his love. Today’s sermon helps us see that God’s judgement is rooted in his love for us and that in the midst of judgement, God always provides a path for salvation. In the Beginning #2 - The stories of Adam and Eve and Cain and Abel reveal a deeper pattern of human rebellion—our desire to take God's place and control our own lives. It shows that all sin, whether seemingly small or catastrophic, stems from the same root: mistrust in God's goodness and a belief that He’s withholding something we deserve. Yet, even in the midst of this brokenness, the message hi...

Kings and Kingdoms #10 - This sermon from Daniel 11–12 reminds us that even in the midst of chaos and opposition, God is fully in control now just like he has been throughout history. When life feels overwhelming, we can trust that God has already seen it coming and is working through it for our good. So when tough times come, we can cling to God, knowing that endurance leads to our own eternal go...

We’re encouraged to engage our bodies—through fasting, prayer, and worship—as a way to grow closer to God and fight well in the spiritual battle. The key to victory isn’t found in our own strength, but being saturated in God’s tr...
