Talkin' TV

Alright people, this is it! The grand finale, the grand hoo-rah! Our final podcast episode of 2020, and boy is it a doozy!!! Chris & I have had an absolute blast entertaining you guys throughout the dreaded year of 2020, and they're here to wrap it up with the two movies that dropped on Christmas Day, the streaming services finally beginning their long awaited battle, as they review #ww84 and #sou...

Alright guys, for our penultimate episode, we managed to put together another fun filled friendly debate for you guys! This time, it's #battleofthesitcoms with popular hit #theoffice going up against fan hit cult classic #community in a debate that will potentially make or break friendships! MC-ing the event is the one, the only, the LEGENDARY Billy McAlveen, who's here to chew bubble gum and take...

Hey guys! So, a little bit of preemtive apologies on my part, as my wifi was out to get me when we recorded this, but it was so important that we had to keep going. People, we've only got 3 weeks left of 2020, and let's face it, we still don't know what the future holds. Is it streaming for everything or is there a chance that movie theaters open again? Dom & Chris discuss that and more on today's...

What's going on guys! You know, it has been a long and pretty rough year. A year of reflection, of self absorption. Of looking at the other guy. So what better way to celebrate that than to look at a movie that examines the origin of cinema itself. And it's also a momentous occasion because people, David Fincher is back! That's right, the guy who kick started the Netflix revolution with House of C...

Alright, who here likes chess? Apparently a lot more people than I originally thought, especially after this show hit. People, we've got another unexpected smash hit on our hands here, in the form of Netflix's The Queen's Gambit! Released on October 23rd, the miniseries from acclaimed writer-director Scott Frank has taken the internet by storm, with the story surrounding Beth Harmon, an orphan rev...

25 Years and still Perfect! What's going on guys! On tonight's episode of Talkin' TV, we come together to celebrate an event that quite frankly, I forgot was a thing until last week. And woe is me for having done so, because we're talking about easily one of the greatest animated movies ever made, as well as one of my favorite movies of all time. That's right people, the original Toy Story is offi...

Welcome back guys! So we have kind of a low key important one for you guys today. Chris recommended this show as part of an onslaught of new content in the wake of the COVID nightmare, and it's interesting as part of Apple TV+'s future strategy as part of the Streaming Wars. So here we are, with an episode covering Ted Lasso! And interesting, quirky little show. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Alright people! Thank you once again for joining us for another episode of our terrific show we've got going on here! Chris & I are gonna try to do this little live thing for you guys more often, cause we wanna get the entertainment to you guys in the best way possible! So in the meantime, we decided to continue with the Mandalorian wave and do our rankings of all the live-action Star Wars movies!...

Alright, I know what you guys are thinking: where's Dom and why the hell is Chris talking about video games on a movie podcast? The answer is simple, we wanted a break. We just came off a tremendous event with SHOCK-tober, and we rolled right into our next big event with our Mando-Watch show, wherein we'll be recapping Season 2 of the Mandalorian week to week. So for now, enjoy this little break,...

That's right people. We actually did it. Chris & I finally hashed out some of our quarantine frustrations in an actual debate on whether Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a good movie. Controversial topic, yes, although minuscule in comparison with real world problems. But hey, we're here to entertain dammit! No, but seriously, we had a ton of fun, we talked about a lot of stuff in this movie, from...

Welcome back people, to yet another fantastic episode of the Talkin' TV podcast!!!! Well, it's hard to believe, but even though theaters are probably never opening again, we have a new movie to talk about, and I think it's safe to say this movie is going to get nominated for a lot of Oscars. On this week's podcast, Chris & Dom talk about the latest film from Netflix & Aaron Sorkin, the coveted scr...

Welcome back people, to yet another fantastic episode of the Talkin' TV podcast!!!! I can't believe it's been five weeks. Absolutely nuts. This year is almost over and I'm still not sure if I'm looking forward to what's coming down the line. But am I talking about real life or am I talking about the Boys? In this episode, Chris & Dom fulfill a promise they made to their audience 5 weeks ago, when,...

Welcome back people, to yet another fantastic episode of the Talkin' TV podcast!!!! So people, a couple months ago, at the height of our powers, we finally started something. In that we got Dom to actually start watching anime. And by anime we mean Studio Ghibli. And guess what, those movies are actually really f**king good.  So this week, because it was another slow week and because movies a...

Welcome back people, to yet another fantastic episode of the Talkin' TV podcast!!!! We're about to get started with the next in a long line of events that we've done for the channel, and boy, have we done a lot. In this year, our second season alone, we have moved to Youtube, recapped ranked and reviewed every movie in the MCU, started our TV recap show and collaborated with more guests than we ca...

Welcome back people, to yet another fantastic episode of the Talkin' TV podcast!!!! And OH MAN!!!! PEOPLE!!!! DO WE HAVE AN EPISODE FOR YOU GUYS TODAY!!!!! As you can probably tell from that last sentence being all caps, I am very excited for today's episode. Very excited. Because people, we scored our first real celebrity interview. On today's podcast we interviewed a guy from a little known band...

Welcome back people, to yet another fantastic episode of the Talkin' TV podcast!!!! We had a little bit more of a casual week this week as far as content went, and do to our own busy schedules, we decided to give you guys some unexpectedly early TV content: just a fun, fresh TV conversation.  That's right, we covered a lot of TV here on the channel this year, we're honestly still just amazed...

Welcome back people, to yet another fantastic episode of the Talkin' TV podcast!!!! As you guys know, we have been covering a lot of TV on this channel. More than we ever thought we would. But we've got a special episode today, for a lot of different reasons. This episode harkens back to one of the first episodes we did when we started the podcast last year. For a show whose debut season last summ...

Welcome back people, to yet another fantastic episode of the Talkin' TV podcast!!!! As you guys know, we have been covering a lot of TV on this channel. More than we ever thought we would. However, after my many times of bullying Chris into watching shows that I liked for the podcast, he finally got me back with oneof his. And I have to say, it surprised the hell out of me. Ladies and Gentlemen, t...

Welcome back people, to yet another fantastic episode of the Talkin' TV podcast!!!! So I said last week on my Avatar episodes top 10 that it would be the last bit of Avatar content on the channel. I lied. No was Korra going to get the same type of treatment as Avatar? Most certainly not. But that factor into the discussion we had today.  The thing is that when the Legend of Korra premiered on...

Calling all Supes! Calling all Supes! Is that what they call them? I just realized that the people who get powers in this don't have the nicknames! Every person with powers in all these different alternative anti-superhero properties now all have nicknames, but they don't give the addicts in this movie any names! Very strange!  Anyways, on today's episode of Talkin' TV, Chris & I sit down...

What's up, guys! We've got another excellent episode for you guys! This is an episode that we've been wanting to do for a long time. Yes, another one that we've wanted to do since Chris & I met. We're both tremendous fans of animation and are constantly looking for other sources outside the traditional safe space of the Disney animated movies. So today, we invited on yet another guest in order...

What's up guys! We're back with yet another episode of our fantastic podcast! So, I think it's safe to say that the Transformers franchise has had a very long, very rocky history, thanks to a certain someone's take on the live action film series. But Netflix in their never-ending struggle to give us content that we can consume and then forget about, have unintentionally given us another gem, in th...

What's going on everybody! Hope you guys have had a good week, a good summer. With only one month left to go in the summer from hell and get ready to go back to school, or in this case online learning, we remember the good times. The times where we could actually go places and interact with people. Like college! Or in this case, Community college. Because in this episode, after months of isolation...

What's going on crazy people! Chris & I are back, and man have we got a hell of an episode for you guys today! We went way longer than we anticipated with this episode, but for this topic today, it was 1000% worth it. This is a show that is so good, so revolutionary, so beloved by so many people, that not only did we need a whole extra hour to talk about it, but we brought in some long-awaited...

Alright people (really gotta come up with a new opening line), we've got one more serious topic that we need to discuss before we get back to the regular movie and TV discussion next week. It's an issue that most people don't think is as serious as last week's, but to me is just as much of an issue. See, here at Talkin' TV, we value quality over quantity. We would take 5 movies and TV shows a year...
