Wristcutter's A Love Story 16.06.2022

Hello everyone, I am back to talk about/recap the 2006 indie romance/comedy film Wristcutters: A Love Story. I stumbled upon this film 10 years ago, while channel flipping through the movie channels. Los Punks: We Are All We Have Review 26.05.2022

On this episode, I talk about the fantastic 2016 music documentary Los Punks; We Are All We Have. The film looks into the backyard punk scene in South Central and East Los Angeles. You hear from the promoters, singers, and others involved in this very close knit and open community of misfits. You see their ups and downs, as well as their dreams. Highly recommend this one!

The Night House Review 19.05.2022

Trigger Warning: Discussing Themes of Suicide. Spoiler warning as well.  On this episode, I talk about 2021 psychological horror film The Night House. This was a random watch I saw with friends. I went into the film with different expectations and was highly entertained with the end result. This is a very heavy movie so be advised, but its a really good movie.

In this episode, I will discuss things I like about both movies, my favorite aspects of these movies as well as why I think Casino is better.

What Are You Doing Here?: A Black Woman's Life and Liberation in Heavy Metal Book Review 25.02.2022

As we come to a close with Black History Month, I shall talk about one aspect of the black community that is very much overlooked and that is alternative black culture. I discuss my thoughts on Laina Dawes' 2013 book "What Are You Doing Here?" I can relate to sometimes being the only POC in a predominately white and male space with this genre of music. Laina and a bevy of other black women talk ab...
