Saint Misbehavin'
It's a podcast about saints, from people who aren't. Take a trip through the liturgical calendar with comedian/theologian Anna Dominey and her saint obsessed friend/comedian Matthew Chadourne. Every other week this pair of non-believers will go through the life, death and after-life of that day’s obscure saint. In an attempt to understand what it means to be "good".

Ain’t Mythbehavin’ Ep. 13 – Huldufólk 21.01.2024 1:10:08
This week, Matthew chickens out on his original topic because it was too creepy so he switches to tales of the Icelandic Huldufólk. But it turns out this isn’t just tales of fun elves who throw parties in your house while you’re asleep, it also includes slavery, man-eating cats, peeping toms, the patriarchy, and so much more. Plus, Anna does an epic thing but Matthew brings a real January energy t...
Ain't Mythbehavin' Ep. 05 - Pangu 14.01.2024 1:07:06
Note: This one is out of order due to an upload mix-up. Hope you still enjoy it After subjecting Anna to several end of the world myths, this month Matthew swings in the other direction with the Chinese creation myth of Pangu (probably the coolest dude we've covered since Enkidu). It's got giant eggs, hairy giants, questionable axes and so much more. And at the end we get everything! Pleas...
Ain’t Mythbehavin’ Ep. 12 – Saturn 14.01.2024 1:08:44
Just in time to be late for the holidays, Matthew and Anna talk about the real reason for the season: Saturn, the original shitty dad and party god of Roman mythology. This episode has creation myths, baby eating, and we come up with a great plan for the city of Cincinnati. Plus, Anna has an epic journey along the ring road and Matthew plans an odyssey to the New World! Please rate, review, and su...
Ain’t Mythbehavin’ Ep. 11 – Finn McCool 31.12.2023 1:06:51
This week we head to ancient Ireland to discuss the hero who most sound like an item on the McDonald’s desert menu, Finn McCool. It’s a fun romp through the Irish countryside as we learn about his (literally) cool Dad, being raised by a pair of lesbian Druids, his love affair with a deer, and his fool-proof strategies to get out of a fight. Plus Matthew takes an epic journey to Scotland and Anna s...
Ain’t Mythbehavin’ Ep. 10 – Xenu 24.12.2023 1:08:24
This week we court controversy as we relate the most recent mythology we’ve ever done and tackle the tale of Xenu. 75 Million years from start to finish, this story take us from the mysterious (yet familiar) planet Teegeeack to the equally strange Clearwater, Florida. Plus, society continues to celebrate Matthew as “world’s greatest Dad” and Anna surprises everybody with a legit good literary refe...
Ain’t Mythbehavin’ Ep. 9 – Daedalus 18.12.2023 1:09:56
This week it's the tale of ancient Greece's greatest inventor (he invented the axe!) Daedalus. It's a tale of his inability to keep himself (and his son) out of trouble, a recounting of his many contributions to the world (such as sex cows), and we correct a story that everybody knows but gets the wrong moral from. Plus, Matthew is a champion and Anna defeats the intro. Please rate, re...
Ain’t Mythbehavin’ Ep. 8 – King Solomon 10.12.2023 1:30:59
This week we continue on from last week’s episode and cover Kind David’s son, King Solomon. Famous for his wisdom, temple, wives, magic rings, and demon helpers, we go thought he life of this complex but mostly terrible dude. Plus, Anna does a little painting and Mathew turns out to be the worst person ever.
Ain’t Mythbehavin’ Ep. 7 – King David 03.12.2023 1:39:44
In this week's episode, we discuss the life of King David: giant killer, foreskin collector, wife stealer…you know just your regular old king stuff. He’s basically a serial killer but also one of the biggest heroes of the bible. (Go figure.) Also, Anna tries to prove she’s cool by dropping some hipster references and Matthew is a hero for keeping his family from murdering each other. Thanks fo...
Ain't Mythbehavin' Ep. 06 - Sir Gawain & the Green Knight 26.11.2023 1:14:44
This month we lose our head over the British myth of Sir Gawain and his run-in with the green night. We get a crash course in chivalry and Matthew tells him how society has branded him a "hero".
Ain't Mythbehavin' Ep. 04 - Noah 19.11.2023 1:38:24
This week we dive back into floods with the story of Noah and the biblical flood myth. We get into the practicalities of ark construction and dung removal, how this story is the origin of racism, the crazy people who keep looking for an imaginary boat, and the terrible people who made their own arks. Plus, Anna does an epically villainous act and Matthew meets a person!
Ain't Mythbehavin' Ep. 03 - Gilgamesh 12.11.2023 1:14:13
This month we put the “Mess” in Mesopotamia as Matthew introduces Anna to one of the oldest stories of all time; The Epic of Gilgamesh. They talk about it’s influence on other epics (including the Bible and the Avengers), the poor judgment of the gods, the relative scariness of farm animals, and what a much cooler dude Gilgamesh’s friend Enkidu is. Plus Anna touts her one piece of knowledge about...
Ain't Mythbehavin' Ep. 02 - Ragnarök 05.11.2023 1:28:44
We start with the end of Norse mythology as we discuss the myth of Ragnarök. This myth has everything: Dragons, giants, wolves, squirrels, someone eats the moon, a ship made of fingernails, trees, and much, much more. Plus Matthew pitches some more side shows, Anna derails the whole conversation with discussion about a couple who had a bunch of kids and we make a plan for a pretty great party next...
Ain't Mythbehavin' Ep. 01 - Castor and Pollux 30.10.2023 1:06:56
We start out strong looking at the lives of half-twins Castor and Pollux. We talk about their complicated paternity, delve into the sexuality of various water fowl, and question whether these guys are really heroes at all. Plus Matthew reveals he has (very limited) super powers.
Saint Notburga– 13 September 10.09.2023 1:00:32
Saint Notburga was a nice lady who helped the poor, blah, blah blah, basic saint stuff. What I really want to talk to you about is this: Do not eat wood. We at Sait Misbehavn’ cannot say this strongly enough. It is our official position that eating wood is bad for the human body as our digestive tacks are not designed to process wood for nutrients. Please, we ask that if you are thinking about eat...
Saint Augustine – 28 August 27.08.2023 1:10:27
Back from break with a big name in the saint game: Saint Augustine. He’s a guy who loved sin as much as he loved lying about sinning and we follow him from Algeria to Milan and back again with minimal asides about Columbian hippos Plus, Anna learns new skills and Matthew miraculously survives another Oxford Comedy Festival. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. It really helps the s...
Saint Junipero – 1 July (Part 2) 30.07.2023 49:33
Sorry it took so long but here is the exciting/depressing conclusion of the story of the life of St. Junipero. Don’t worry, it’s not just all colonizing, it’s only mostly colonizing but occasionally there is a sombrero riot and jerks get shot with an arrow. So you have that to look forward too. Plus, Anna isn’t the sickest person on the podcast for once and Matthew spent a lot of his week editing...
Saint Junipero – 1 July (Part 1) 03.07.2023 1:08:38
Oh boy, this is a bad one folks. Take a trip to the New World (always a bad sign) with Saint Junipero. He was a “missionary” in Mexico with an aversion to horses, a misunderstanding of bats, and a love of the inquisition so great we have to do two episodes about him. Plus, Anna over-pronounces her limited Spanish Vocabulary and Matthew has an Enterprising Father’s Day. Please rate, review, and sub...
Saint Paulinus of Nola – 22 June 17.06.2023 1:00:47
Get ready for some mind-blowing church innovation as we discuss the life of Saint Paulinus of Nola. Sure he was rich, powerful, and had a hot wife but that doesn’t mean he didn’t give back to the community and not just in the form of a lot of churches in one specific part of Italy. He also helped a guy one time by appearing in his kidnapper's dreams. Plus, Anna witnesses some instant karma fo...
Saint Petroc– 4 June 04.06.2023 1:02:36
Hope you like Cornwall because this episode we talk about the well-travelled but Cornish centered life of Saint Petroc. From exalted beginnings in possibly the best family in Welsh history to his shame based travels with (and probable end because of) a wolf it’s a wild tale you won’t want to miss. Plus, Anna does something she describes as “not actively bad” and Matthew talks about all the joy h...
Saint Phillip Neri – 26 May 20.05.2023 1:06:02
Get ready to hear about the surprisingly joyful life of Saint Phillip Neri a man who savoured the finer sacraments of life and did a lot more bits than you would expect from a priest. It’s an episode featuring a detailed description of what 79ing is, Dracula’s crisis of faith, an account of how Paris wronged the Chadourne family, a temporary miracle, and we even make time to discuss the life of Ph...
Saint Margherita of Cortona – 16 May 07.05.2023 1:02:32

We get deep into what it truly means to be mutilated, find out how her life is a proto-Cinderella story, and learn how not to be a mother. Plus, Anna gets hit by a bit of luck and Matthew r...
Ain't Mythbehavin' Ep. 17 - Jonah 29.04.2023 58:32
We are switching up our release dates so we are papering over the schedule with a special release from the Patrion vaults of our side show Ain't Mythbehavin'. In this episode we spend some more time in the Old Testament and inside a whale (big fish) with the world’s worst prophet Jonah. Is there more to this story then just his maritime adventures? You bet there is and we dive into the deep end of...
Saint George – 23 April 16.04.2023 1:11:06
It’s everybody’s favourite dragon slaying patron saint of England, Saint George. He had one life but a lot of conflicting deaths but we can all agree he got tortured a lot, had zero instinct for self-preservation, and he was always there for his fellow man (as long as his fellow man was rich or doing colonialism.) Plus, Anna and Matthew answer some important questions about Easter. Please rate,...
Saint Francis de Paola – 2 April 02.04.2023 1:04:13
This week Matthew isn’t the only problematic vegetarian on the podcast as we delve into the life of Saint Francis de Paola, the 15th century holy man who’s love for animals was only surpassed by his problems with women. It’s a tale of cave living, herb eating, real estate schemes, getting fatally stuck in France, dealing with trauma through fire, and learning how werewolves are made. Plus, Anna li...
Saint Cuthbert – 20 March 19.03.2023 1:03:39
This week we get entrapped by our researcher Cat into discussing the life of Saint Cuthbert and making a bunch of poop noises. It’s a life of lonely island living, abandoned babies, mud holes, and helpful otters. Plus, Anna donates to a worthy charity to help migrants and Matthew turns the other cheek in spite of all his improv training. If you would like to help out migrants in the Oxford area p...
