How do you become a stand-up comedian? How do you book a gig? How do you write a joke? All this and more is what I would write if I cared about self-promotion. Advertising is the devil. On 6th November 2024 I decided to start telling jokes on stage to people. Within 6 months I'd gone from walk-in spots at pubs to the final of a competition, having my jokes played on the BBC and doing a half-hour show at a comedy festival.
