RadioU Interviews

Andy Mineo joins Hudson to tells us about his run-in with Ric Flair, the Winter Jam experience and what he has in store for 2020!

John Van Duesen doesn't just look like he's from the Northwest. He doesn't just sound like he's from the Northwest. He's from northern Washington (almost Canada!!!). The RIOT meets him for the first time and hears about his solo music, how he got started, and why he gets to tour Europe so much.

The RIOT gets a chance to meet Chris from Northlander. (He's also in Fallstar. It won't be that confusing, just keep listening.) We also find out he has a twin... or does he? Is Chris mentally creating another character? Does Northlander even exist outside of his mind? We get answers to those questions and find out how they got signed to Facedown and whether they have any plans to tour!

Who's knocking at the door? It's Brandon from Glasslands!! He stops in to talk about married life, where he left his ring... and who is this mysterious Creeps?

The RIOT gets to talk to one of their favorite artists: Krum. He tells us about working with Theory Hazit, interacting with fans, what he's reading, and what he really needs from fans.

The RIOT discovers a band that totally understand: they don't like the beach, they're afraid of sharks, and they try to lower people's expectations. At this point, Empty is practically family. Get to know Gary and get some behind-the-scenes info on Empty and how they're getting ready for their tour!

The RIOT talks to Russ T. Shipp from Rusty Shipp and breaks the cardinal rule: they ask about the band's name (how could you not!?!?!). We find out where they came from and what exactly nautical rock is.

Paradise Now is from the UK... that's just England right? WRONG! Paradise Now tells us where they are from, what they want to be called, and where we might see them this fall.

The RIOT gets a chance to catch up with the Epic Sherrod White! What has he been up to musically for the last few years? When can we expect a new EP? What does his wife think of that manly beard of his? Let's find out!

LNYX has always been famous to The RIOT for their pool parties... but that's all gone now. They've upgraded to THE OCEAN. Yep, Scotty and Brit have moved to Florida where they spend their days and nights walking on the beach. We talk southern life and their new single: "Beauty in the Broken".

Graceful Closure is becoming Euvoia and Jared (and Bryce!!) comes by to give us the ins and outs of this new stage in his musical journey. We also find out where the name "Graceful Closure" comes from and where else we can find new music from Jared.

The RIOT gets a chance to talk to Disciple's new bus driver: Kevin? Yeah, it turns out that Kevin has been doing all the lead singing AND bus driving for the last few days! We also get a chance to talk about their new song 'Panic Room' and hear how Andrew from Project 86 ended up on the track!

Stephen from Wolves at the Gate joins The RIOT for an... interview? Is that what you call this? It's really just another round of Obadiah and Stephen taking shots at each other in a long running, hysterical feud. It's nonsensical... but it's funny!

Jen Ledger of LEDGER and Skillet joins Hudson to talk about pulling double duty on tour this summer, riding roller coasters at Spirit Song and parasailing in the Dominican Republic.

The guys from My Epic join Hudson in the studio to talk life in Louisville, working with Cory from Norma Jean and their new album Violence.

John Cooper of Skillet joins Hudson to talk about the new album "Victorious," their summer touring plans, and how Paul Rudd could factor into the Skillet movie-verse.

If you had to blame a Danger Scene brother for why its taken them so long to put out new music, which one would you chose? Well, we can tell you that Michael joined us on the show and had absolutely no problem placing blame. We also get a chance to hear about their new song and video for "Poison" and Michael's long-enduring love for Dance Dance Revolution.

Jeremy from Tiger Drive joins The RIOT to talk about their plans for music releases this year and what their new stage show has to do with twenty one pilots.

What exactly is a Neon Feather? It's not a thing. It's a person who also happens to be a producer and DJ who worked with Matty Mullins on a brand new song now on RadioU! Get the behind the scenes story of how "Come to Life" came together.

Truslow. They're a band and they make music... but more importantly: they eat cereal with The RIOT. Find out what they've been doing for the last year or two since the last time we saw them AND hear which Pop-Tart cereal they'd rather bring home.

The RIOT finally gets to meet the guys in Apollo LTD and asks them "that" question: what does the LTD mean? We also hear about future album plans, how the band got started, and what historical figure's words inspire their studio!

Stephen from Wolves at the Gate joins The RIOT for their annual Christmas Show! Since Stephen is one of Obadiah's favorite people, he hounds him about his newest hobby, finds the theme for their new album, and gets to the bottom of why there is no new Christmas song this year!

Andrew from Project 86 joins the RIOT Christmas Show to chat about what he's looking for this year. (Hint: he finally got a better answer than socks.) He also gives us some more insight in to what it has been like to host a podcast!

Mike Mains shares warm Christmas greetings on The RIOT Christmas Show! We talk about his new label, upcoming album release, and what he plans to do on Christmas Eve this year.

Jen Ledger from LEDGER joins The RIOT for their Christmas Show and immediately answers the most important question of the year: "Have you seen Monty Python yet?" We also find out what her Christmas plans are this year, make her the star of her own Hallmark movie, and hear about what's coming up at Winter Jam.
