The Minnesota Vikings ended up making a couple splashes the past week, in what has been quite a whirlwind of moves throughout the Vikings roster. Of course the Vikings signed Kirk Cousins to 84 Million guaranteed, along with filling the thee technique role with the top guy on the market in Sheldon Richardson. We would see all three of the Vikings quarterbacks since 2015 depart for more money and b...

Super Bowl LII was beyond expectations, at least offensively, as there were more total yards in this game, than any in NFL history, with an out of this world 1,151 total yards from scrimmage. Tom Brady threw from 505 yards, with three touchdowns, but Nick Foles, and Eagles coach Doug Peterson matched just about everything the Patriots could do, and claimed their first Super Bowl Championship. Also...

The Minnesota Vikings were manhandled by the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship game, in mystifying fashion. The loss marked the Vikings' 6th consecutive defeat in the NFC title game, dating all the way back to the 1980 season. We briefly preview the upcoming Superbowl 52, and of course get to your many comments regarding this unexplained free-fall. Also on Stitcher and Double Twist! Call...

In a game where the Minnesota Vikings lead 17-0, against the hated New Orleans Saints, it looked like all would be alright. Then things slowly started to change and decline. Drew Brees went from a couple turnovers in the first half, to near lights out in the second. Kai Forbath would finally put the Vikings back on the board, and in the lead with a clutch 53 yard kick, only to see it disappear aga...

The Minnesota Vikings have finished the 2017 season with a 13-3 record, with a semi sloppy win over an improving Chicago Bears defense. The quest now begins, as the road to the Superbowl has become a little more clear, with playoff match ups now set. We will talk extensively about the playoffs in the second segment, and of course get to all your calls and posts in fan interaction segment three! Al...

The Minnesota Vikings had their first regular season shutout since 1993 vs Detroit, and their first in Greenbay since 1971. This was an ugly game, as many passes were dropped, overthrown, and players were slipping and sliding everywhere possible. In a game that was pretty comfortable from opening kickoff, for the 20th time in Vikings history, the Purple are division champions. That's one title down, and two to go, including the NFC and ultimately the Superbowl title. When we heard that center Pat Elflein would be ruled out for the game, your host knew the Vikings were in trouble. What has been the biggest difference from last year to this year? Pass protection and run blocking, both of which were questionable at best, especially when team MVP Riley Reiff was carted off when an apparent ankle injury. It felt like the whole team was off throughout the game as Th...

In what was a bit of a scary game on the road, the Minnesota Vikings put forth a total team effort, and got a hard fought win in Atlanta! Xavier Rhodes was unbelievable in this game against the best receiver in football. Case Keenum protected the ball, and was incredibly clutch in crucial time consuming drives to finish off the dirty birds! Also on Stitcher and Double Twist! facebook.com/purplemaf...

In yet another back and forth battle with the Lions in Ford Field, with calls and non-calls that drove us crazy, the Vikings offense was good enough to survive not the best day by the Purple secondary. Case Keenum continued to protect the football and make some pretty amazing plays to put the Vikings ahead, before things got scary. The Minnesota Vikings were the team to break through the pivotal "Glass Ceiling" on Sunday, as they were finally able to pull away from a very stingy LA Rams defense in the fourth quarter. The Vikings looked as if they were going to leave points on the field throughout the game, until a close call finally gave the Vikings their lead and the purple never looked back. Also on Stitcher and Double Twi...

The Minnesota Vikings offence "Capitalized" in the nations capital. Case Keenum is trying to do the same, as in earning a significant pay increase for next season. Keenum, for about three quarters tore up the Redskins secondary, until he threw two pretty dumb INTs. Luckily after that, Case was able to settle down and finish the job, helping guide the Vikings to 7-2. Also on Stitcher and Double Twi...

The Vikings win in London was a bit "Dodgy" as they say in the UK, but a win non-the-less. After three quarters of some poppycock football, the Vikings finally started to pull away in the fourth, after Stefon Diggs drew a pretty damaging pass interference call. In a game in which the zebras swallowed their whistles, Adam Theilen had a lot to gripe about. Thankfully, the Vikings defense gave a struggling Joe Flacco almost nothing to work with what-so-ever, and the Purple would win comfortably, despite an off game by Case Keenum. Despite being without our starting QB, our star RB Dalvin Cook, and even our top reciever Stephon Diggs, the Vikings find themselves 4-2 atop the division, despite hardly anything going right since the season opener. Aaron Rogers' broken collar bone has made the NFC North up for grabs, and Detroit doesn't seem ready to take it after all. Also on Stitcher and Double Twist! facebook.com/purplemafias...

The Vikings were able to survive a very ugly game in Chicago, a place where they never win, regardless how much better or worse they are than the Bears. Sam Bradford appears done, yet it took Vikings coaches the whole first half to finally put him out of his misery. Case Keenum helped save the day in the pinch, along with Jerick Mckinnon swiping that number one RB job away from Latavious Murray. A...

In a day that brought back memories of the "Black and Blue" division, with former Lions LB Chris Spielman color commentating the game, it was classic Vikings in too many ways. Missed tackles on 3rd and long early on, a missed FG within 40 yards, missing our QB with a non contact injury after an encouraging start to the season, and yet another promising player in Dalvin Cook, tearing his ACL on yes...

Case Keenum is truly the "Coast Guard" as he has stopped the Buccaneers in all three times he's started against Tampa Bay, much to our delight. Keenum was downright outstanding, showing his arm, accuracy, mobility, and best of all, showed he's capable of winning a game in the pinch. Diggs and Thielen are not only number one and two receivers, but they are becoming all-pro level stars. Dalvin Cook...

What a Minnesota type of thing, Bradford looks great, the o-line finally looks strong, so here comes week two: Bradford isn't available, and the o-line is the same old story. In a game filled with dumb penalties, ticky-tack calls, and a depressing offense, the Vikings came back to reality in Pittsburg this week. Also on Stitcher and Double Twist! facebook.com/purplemafiashow @purplemafiashow palad...

The Minnesota Vikings saw what they can be with a solid offensive line, yes the Saints defense leaves something to be desired, but Sam Bradford was downright fantastic. Dalvin Cook broke the century mark in his first NFL game, and showed signs of NFL stardom. Adrian Peterson was greeted with boos, a smothering Vikings front four, and a reality check with his very limited role. Also on Stitcher and...
