Podlander Drunkcast

Hey y'all -   During this tiny break from Outlander , we once again bring you the marvelous Emma Fraser to discuss the costumes of 1996's GOOP Emma . Amelia almost exploded.   We can all agree that Ewan MacGregor did not deserve that wig.   Lots of love- Allison and Amelia (and Julie and Janine in spirit!)

Hi, y'all -   Here's the second part of our two-parter on Season 6 Episode 6 of Outlander, "The World Turned Upside Down". Jessica Reynolds is amazing. There's nothing else to say because we say everything else in this episode.  Lots of love - Julie, Allison, and Janine

Y'all - This episode. We love it. Here's the first in a two-part review/recap because we CANNOT STOP talking about it. Great writing and directing, amazing acting, incredible costumes and makeup.....  Second episode out soon, we promise. This episode 'runs' the gamut, if you know what I'm saying. And I think that you doo. Lots of love - Julie, Allison, and Janine

Y'all -   What a ride! We don't even feel like we can write an introduction that does justice to the twists and turns of this episode. Suffice it to say, we are all really glad to see David Berry make his...triumphant(?) return. Let's all go out to the gazebo and talk it out whilst passing a fat one.  Maid Face 4 Lyfe! Lots of love - Julie, Allison and Janine

Hi, y'all - The gang is back together (virtually) to dissect and discuss the newest episode of "Outlander." Sam Heughan really put in some great work this time, but the Platinum Pamplemousse goes to John Bell for breaking our hearts into a thousand jagged pieces. Also - what the fuck is up with Malva Christie?  Lots of love - Julie, Allison and Janine

Hey, y'all - Friend-of-the-show Jen Moniz joined Julie IN PERSON to watch and recap episode three! She brought a blueberry cake, so you know she was raised right. Hi, Mom! They had a great time with this one, even with all the sad themes. César Domboy really dialed it in, and that was good to see. Lots of love - Julie (Allison and Janine will be back soon, I promise)

Allison is out of town so Julie and Janine do their best with absolutely zero book knowledge to recap "Outlander" season 6 episode 2. There's some laughs and some learning along the way.  Both of them agree that John Bell is amazing at all times, as per usual. Lots of love - Julie and Janine

We're back on Fraser's Ridge, people! Janine is going back to being clueless, so Allison and Julie have to fill him in on all the goings-on. This was a good episode of television! Lots of love - Julie, Allison, and Janine

CW // sexual assault, sexual violence   Hey, y'all...   It's Dudelander time! We chat about 'Outlander' season 5 with Neal and Kevin, as is tradition. They forgot almost everything. Next up... NEW OUTLANDER SEASON, BABBBBYYYYYYYYYY!   Lots of love - Julie and Allsion

Hey, y'all - Oh my goodness we got Amelia's mother, Marlo, to join us so we could talk to them both about Amelia's relationship (obsession?) with the 1995 Gwyneth Paltrow 'Emma!" It's a great ride - please enjoy.   Lots of love, Julie, Allison, and ...the Marlos

Hey, y'all - On Friday December 10 2021, we were at it again, making up weird and stupid Outlander-themed fanfic for a live audience at C2E2. As always, there are moments of hilarity, moments of confusion, and moments of pure mess. Please enjoy! Lots of love - Julie, Allison, and Janine

Hi, Y'all -   We watched "A Princess for Christmas." In this episode, we set clear debate rules, and mostly follow them.  Tell us what you think - is this a great movie, or the GREATEST movie? Discuss.   Lots of love - Julie, Allison, and Janine

Hi, y'all -   In October 2021, we got invited to New York Comic Con to do a panel. We provided some raucous live Outlander fanfic. At turns hilarious and awkward, we feel it is very on brand. Enjoy!   Lots of love - Allison, Julie, Janine, and a muffled Amelia

Hi, y'all -   Amelia takes the reins as we chat about the second half of Gwyneth Paltrow's 1996 film adaptation of "Emma." Some things that come up: - Why the podcast has ruined Amelia's life - Extended discussion of our new favorite butthole - A great new nickname for a main character that we really think has legs   Please enjoy! Lots of love, Julie, Alison, Janine and Amelia

Hey, y'all -   Here begins our content on one of the 1996 adaptations of "Emma." We're of course starting with the one starring Gwyneth Paltrow. In this episode, we discuss the first half of the film, right up until Jane Fairfax shows Emma what's up dueling pianos-style. Did you know that friend of the show Amelia Buzzell has seen this move well over 1,000 times? She's got some love for and THOUGH...

Hi, y'all -   If you know anything about us, it's that we CANNOT RESIST a bracket. So here we are, building a bracket and fighting it all the way through to a winner for The Platinum Pooper of 'Imbibe and Prejudice: Volume One.'  You really get to hear how the sausage is made, folks. Please enjoy.   Lots of love - Julie, Allison, and Janine

Hi, y'all -    In the (not so) grand tradition of Julie's other podcast Maria, Solved! , we put Janine in the hot seat and treat him as an expert in Jane Austen's Emma . Come for the Regency comedy of manners, stay for the treatise on slaughterhouse conditions.   Lots of love - Julie, Allison, and Janine

Hi, y'all -   We're almost done with our first volume (there will always be more PP) of Pride and Prejudice coverage. So it's time to pull out Julie's chainmail ball sack/dice bag of destiny and let fate decide the best of the best. We're saving Darcy and Lizzie for later, but you'll hear debates about other characters, costumes, adaptation, etc. Please enjoy and remember to hit us up with your su...

We've reached the end of our coverage of the 2005 Joe Wright/Keira Knightley PP. Spoiler - we love it! Allison is out this week, but friend of the show Amelia Buzzell joins us as we give this PP the Scales treatment. Pro tip:  this episode contains a story told by Amelia that is so good, you need to be sitting down when she starts. Lots of love - Julie, Allison, and Janine

Y'all -   A special surprise episode! FOR EVERYONE!!    Our man Tobias won a major award. We are all so proud of him, since those of us in the Outlander-sphere have known for a long time how good he is at acting. We discuss his career, postulate as to where he will display his new statuette, and just shoot all the shit about our favorite jactor of all time.   One more reminder: our New York Comic-...

Hi, y'all -  Caitriona Balfe totally dropped a baby like Beyonce drops an album - stealthily, and with great power. So we go back to our Outlander roots and debate which Beyonce songs go with which characters and scenes from your favorite sexy time travel show. Friend of the show Amelia Buzzell joins us in our quest. Love - Allison, Julie, and Janine

Hey y'all, It's the second-to-last installment of Keirafest (though there will be a bit of a wait for the next one) and we are downright giddy to be joined by critic LaToya Ferguson. LaToya joins us for a spirited conversation about the period drama movie dominance of one Keira Knightley. We also talk about her Love, Actually hat. Also: In New York? Come join us for a panel at NYCC !  Lots of love...
