Podcast Town

We test out some AI generated theme songs for the podcast and then try to get the real Gumby and Pokey on the phone.

We're very excited to announce that this year's Halloween episode is sponsored by JC Penney. Unfortunately, the JC Penney corporation sent a (quite creepy) representative to monitor us and ensure we represent their brand appropriately.

On a very special in-person recording session, we play a podcast hosted by two survivalists who show you how to sustain yourself out in the wilderness. Plus, Chris & Rob mourn the end of short king summer.

Today we check in on one of the first podcasts we ever played on Podcast Town - "Word To Your Mother", hosted by the Clippy the paper clip. On this episode, he sits down with Microsoft Copilot AI and the conversation gets tense.

Today's featured podcast is Dr. Pete, hosted by a kindly southern psychologist who helps his guests "turn their life around". On this episode he tries to help troubled youth Bobby, but Bobby may or may not be just trying to go viral with his catchphrases. Plus, Chris & Rob reenact Seinfeld.

To celebrate the beginning of football season, Chris surprises Rob by bringing his old high school football coach on as a special guest for the episode.

Today's featured podcast is a debate show where host Billy Burke takes on challengers on a wide variety of topics. Billy may have met his match in this episode, though, as he debates two guests - Roger Moore and Bill Kaminski from Santa Fe, NM.

Today’s featured podcast highlights the internet’s most infamous YouTube commenters. This episode is an exclusive interview with “Teletubby Todd”, who has been making controversial comments for nearly two decades. Plus, Rob struggles with turning 40.

On a wild episode of Gumby, Pokey requests Gumby’s help to fix his farm which is being terrorized by a syringe-wielding gopher.  Plus, we try to interpret the lyrics to Soulja Boy’s “Crank That”.

Erika joins us to share her thoughts on Soulja Boy AND watch a truly momentous installment of Gumby. In the show’s 3rd episode, “The Little Lost Pony”, we are introduced to Pokey and get our first appearance of THE BLOCKHEADS. Are they Gumby’s enemies? Does Gumby dress like a cowboy in this episode? Did Erika ever get stuck in a steakhouse bathroom as a child? Listen to find out all this and more!...

We are back to talk about AND watch Gumby. In "Mirrorland", we learn a little more about Gumby's home life as he runs an errand for his mom who famously has big boobs. Plus, we dig into what some YouTube commenters have to say about this episode. Watch along with us at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUHyZt_NY7k

Today’s podcast examines the billionaire class and whether it is inherently immoral to amass such wealth when poverty still affects so many around the world. Plus we discuss the live action Lilo & Sititch movie.

On this very special Gumby podcast, we tear the bandaid off and stop just talking about Gumby - we finally LEARN about Gumby.  We do this by watching the 1956 Pilot episode of Gumby and, boy, is it weird. Find out if any of our theories were correct and watch the first episode of Gumby (called “Moon Trip”) along with us on YouTube: https://youtu.be/wt87rvCPViQ?si=FNkejJHsn45Nm8dX

We found a little-known podcast from 5 years ago hosted by the man who eventually became the new leader of the Catholic church - Pope Leo himself. Set in Chicago, this podcast (weirdly enough called "The Pope") centers around then Father Bobby's quest to open a high-end church in the wake of his brother's passing. But can his deadbeat cousin and ragtag staff pull it together en...

Today’s podcast follows several police officers who are mic’d up on their patrols. You might not believe this, but it turns out some of their interactions are a little weird.  Plus, we get a new signoff phrase for the show.

It's an episode 10 years in the making...the 10th anniversary of our first podcast ever! Guests Erika and Steve, who were both there for the first show in 2015, join us to discuss our experiences recording that inaugural episode and all the various podcasts and milestones we've hit since then. Then we take a victory lap by watching and commenting on the first episode of season 9 of Famil...

Once again our feed has been hacked by the two Yankee fans who tried to steal a fly ball from the Dodgers in the World Series. Now officially banned from all MLB games, they are apparently doing another podcast to kick off the 2025 MLB season. Hear what they've been up to since October, their plans to sneak back into Yankee Stadium, and how things are going with their only caller, Frankie on...

Today we welcome a very special guest to the show - none other than McDonaldland's own purple...thing: Grimace. Hear about Grimace's new podcast, his struggles with substance abuse and being a nepo baby, and some close connections he has to Chris & Rob. But, is it the real Grimace? Or just a guy in a suit?

Today we’re joined by friend of the show and actor / screenwriter Jay, who tells all about his exciting forthcoming project: the official Gumby reboot. Then we perform a table read of the pilot episode, which features all of your favorite Gumby characters...and some surprises.

A podcast hosted by partners at a law firm who offer legal advice to callers. Plus, Chris regrets his New Year's resolution.

For today's episode, we found a podcast that only gets released on Boxing Day. Turns out the hosts are Podcast Town regulars Roger Moore and Bill Kaminski, and their Boxing Day traditions are not what you'd expect.

The annual holiday special is here! This time, Rob narrates the story of a memorable Christmas from his childhood, when life was simpler and the only present he wanted was something all the adults around him warned was too dangerous: an explicit album. Through all the ups and downs of the holiday season, we are reminded to cherish our close friends and loved ones. Or in Rob’s case - his Mom’s cous...
