John's gospel is so important because it establishes Jesus' deity and shows the clear message of the bIble that Jesus is fully man and fully God simultaneously. God the Son, who became flesh for us to die in our place as the perfect sacrifice, as only God could do. He was raised from the dead on the 3rd day and lives today, sitting on His throne. Thessalonians is one of 2 letters that Paul wrote to this church. It is a very important Book theologically and for eschatology. This seems to be the 1st letter Paul wrote based on the time it was written. It was written around AD 54. Some say Galatians was, but it is more likely that this was the 1st one. 1st and 2nd Thessalonians are known as Paul’s eschatological (end times) epistles. Paul cove...

Colosse was a small town in the Lycus Valley approximately 100 miles from Ephesus. It is unclear if Paul ever actually went to this small town, but he certainly loved the people there. It was in the province of Asia Minor. This was another prison epistle. When he was in prison the 1st time. We will be introduced to a man named Epaphras who apparently met Paul in Ephesus, and Paul had helped him be...

In Paul's letter to the church in Philippi that he founded, Paul wants them to know that although he has been persecuted, the gospel has been preached and is being preached even more because of the trouble he has had. One of Paul's shorter letters, but we shouldn't mistake short for not saying a lot. Paul has much to say in this powerful letter that is still relevant today. Church website: www.prb...

Ephesians was written around AD 64 from Rome, where Paul was in prison. It was probably written around the same time as Colossians and Philippians. And was probably delivered to the church at Laodicea and eventually made it to Ephesus. Technically, this letter wasn’t written to the church at Ephesus but more for the church as a whole as the body of Christ. Paul’s heart was for the body of believer...
