Albert Camus' The Stranger was named one of the the top 100 books of the last century and it's also a frequent pick for high school reading lists. Turns out, the main character is a space cadet who talks like Patrick Bateman from the movie American Psycho. Part 2 later this week.

This recommendation came from an ER nurse and I wanted to like the book so bad. I could not find a way to like this book. I quit after chapter 7.   It's about bunch of rich people getting hammered in Paris 24/7 while acting like they're friends. They are complete garbage to each other.
