Lion Roars from Zion

The U.S. and Israel are at war with Iran. The Strait of Hormuz is a flashpoint. Everyone is asking: Is this the end? Should I be scared? In this episode, we look at current events through the lens of Scripture with help from two trusted prophecy teachers: • Mark Hitchcock (author of The Persian Storm) explains why Iran matters prophetically, what Ezekiel 38 actually says, and why we're seeing a "b...

In Episode 104, we laid the foundation: you are already seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). The battle is won. Jesus sat down because His work was finished. But that raises a critical question for every new believer: "If I'm already seated… what do I actually DO when I feel attacked? When anxiety won't stop? When life is falling apart?" This episode answers that question. We exp...

Most people think spiritual warfare means shouting at the devil, rebuking every bad thought, and living on high alert. But what if the real battle isn't about fighting for victory—but staying seated in a victory that's already finished? In this episode, we unpack Mark 16:19–20 and Ephesians 2:6 to reveal one game-changing truth: Jesus sat down because the work was complete. And here's the surprise...

There is a messiah coming. The world is waiting for him. Millions are praying for him. Armies are positioning for him. But he is not the One you think. In Iran right now, a man sits in a seat of power who believes his entire purpose is to burn the world down so his messiah can rise from the ashes. His name is Mojtaba Khamenei. And his regime is not playing politics. They are playing apocalypse. In...

You've felt it. The ground shifting. The old certainties—science, politics, money, education—aren't holding the way they once did. And that's not a crisis. That's an invitation. In this episode, we explore what prophet Emma Stark has called the "post-secular" age: a time when the Western world is no longer embarrassed by spiritual questions. People aren't asking if God exists anymore. They're aski...

What if one word could save your life – or end it? In Judges 12, a simple pronunciation test called “Shibboleth” meant the difference between crossing the river or being killed. Forty-two thousand men failed. Their accent gave them away. In this episode, we trace that haunting Old Testament test straight to the Gospels. We’ll look at Jesus’ confrontation with religious leaders in Mark 11:27–33 – w...

Can you believe it? One hundred episodes. I just want to start this one by saying thank you. From the bottom of my heart—thank you to every single person who has listened, who has shared an episode, who has sent a message of support. I see you. I value you. Each one of you has made this journey what it is. And what a journey it's been. But before we celebrate, I need to do something else. Somethin...

A vision of black cloud and lightning. No interpretation. Just a lead balloon in the middle of a feast. It felt out of place—until the next morning, when an open Bible revealed the council of the Lord. This is a warning about false prophets (including the one in your own mind) and an invitation to stand, not run. Includes activation. Jeremiah 23:18 – "Who has stood in the council of the Lord?"

Elizabeth and her husband used to wake up, reach for their phones, and swallow the world before they had taken one bite of God's Word. Then they encountered a teaching from Rick Renner that stopped them cold: Do not eat until you have read the Word. This is what they had been doing for the last year, and it was confirmation of their conviction. In this episode of Lion Roars from Zion, Elizabeth ge...

You've heard about it. The one sin God won't forgive. The unpardonable sin. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Maybe you've even lost sleep over it. Wondering if a bad thought, a careless word, or a season of doubt put you beyond God's reach. Let me put your mind at ease. And their response was basically: "Okay, but what else you got?" Jesus' answer is one of the mo...

In this episode, we explore the journey from slavery to sonship. Drawing from Rom...

We've talked about being real with God (Episode 88). We've talked about how He makes a way through hard things (Episode 89). But there's a piece we might have missed. The Israelites didn't walk through the Red Sea alone. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego didn't face the furnace by themselves. Paul didn't do his ministry in isolation. Even Jesus chose twelve people to do life with. So why do so many...
