Let's Be Real

This week came a day of great frustration for me, that resulted in a pretty solid pity party! Who else has been there? But I LOVE it when God reveals himself to me in such a timely way, to help encourage and challenge me, with what is going on in my life in the moment. God's goodness is amazing.

God uses interesting things in our lives to remind us of His teachings and of Himself. In this episode we talk about the threats in life that we experience. How the devil tries to weaken our faith and dependence on God in many different ways, and how we can be on the look out for those threats.

I find myself in a cycle of finding it difficult to sit, be still and be in God's word. Have you ever been there? I'm sure I'm not alone...lets join together and encourage each other to Seek Him First.

As believers in the good news of Jesus Christ, the gospel, we receive freedom in Him. Jesus, because of his death and resurrection, He alone fulfilled the law and we are no longer oppressed by it. Because of Jesus, we live in the Spirit! Let's look at Galatians 5 what it means to walk by the Spirit...and in turn, love.

Questions are a good thing, a healthy part of the learning process. We need to be humble enough to ask questions and to acknowledge it's part in growth, understanding and wisdom. Let's take a peek at Acts 8 and the story of the Ethiopian eunuch and Phillip!

My daughter wanted me to name this episode, "Spittin' Truth" - but that is way too teenager-esque for me! So it is just "Truth". I believe it is very important for us as believers to be paying attention to how we use, and possibly overuse,  the word "truth" and what this word usage looks like and means in our culture and in our faith.
