On one side, a darker and more sensual approach rooted in dark disco and darkwave; on the other, a club-oriented sound directly connected to the legacy of Italian dance culture. The point of convergence between these two dimensions is the collaboration between CR HERZ and Lorenzo LSP. Their track...

Some big names feature on the second volume of ENSOULED's 'Freedom, Innovation, Resonance' series, and they serve up suitably profound sounds. The Cee ElAssaad remix has still soft edges but a little more upright groove, and then Chicago legend Boo...

Spyda mixes three languages in his lyrics (Runyankole, Luganda and Lusoga) and adds distinctive engalabi drumming to sit alongside the amapiano-inspired percussive bassline a...

“From Scratch” bursts to life as a bold, time-capsule homage to the early ’80s hip-hop scene, when the culture was still inventing itself in real time. Back when turntable scratching was a fresh, almost rebellious novelty, the track places it front and center, weaving those raw, tactile cuts into a rigid drum machine pulse that feels both mechanical and urgent. A springy, rubber-band synth bass an...

Nye’s Pocket Atmos, Stellar Kitchen finds Large Hall Records in a reflective but club-ready mood, stitching together Machine-Soul, Post-Punk shimmer and basement pressure. Across eight tracks, Nye leans into a palette that nods to the history of Detroit, New Order-style melancholy and the grainy texture of UK Acid House without ever feeling beholden to any of them. The record sets the tone with st...
