Choral Response: Hallelujah (G. F. Handel)  Scriptures: Isaiah 65:17-25 Luke 24:1-12  Description: On Easter morning, the women approach the tomb knowing what is expected of them. But after the tomb turns out to be empty and God’s story turns out not to be over, how should they respond? What can they trust? How can they see the news of the empty tomb as good ? And what about us? Our world is full...

For our own sakes and for the world around us, the Bible invites us to renew our practice of lament. ...

Scriptures: Luke 6:27-38 Description: You know “The Golden Rule,” but have you heard about “The Platinum Rule”? Or how about “The Rhodium Rule”? Jesus’s Sermon on the Plain challenges us to treat others as God would treat them, which is a tall order. Jesus wants us to give away more than is asked of us, to turn the other cheek, and to love our enemies. Thank God no one expects us to be able to do...
