Local band TV135 brought some much needed classic rock to the KCSU studio with live performances of songs off of their latest album, “Prestidigitization.” They talked with DJ TBD about the contemporary themes and meanings behind the songs, such as our virtual dependency and how it affects our daily lives.

  DJ TBD hosts the Orca Welles during the weekly Local Lunch Hour show. With classic rock and surf rock vibes, the band puts on an energetic performance and also discuss their formation and future plans as a group that is often separated by many states.

Denver based music producer and rapper, CURTA performs tracks off his latest EP, “End of Future Park,” the day of its release, live on-air in the KCSU studio. CURTA and DJ TBD discuss the creation, concept, and sound of the EP after grooving out to the artist’s avant garde sound.

Members of The Nadas stopped into the KCSU station for a quick interview with DJ TBD. They discussed their continuously growing and evolving creation process over the course of 25 years as a band.    

KCSU General Manager, Hannah Copeland, hosted an in-studio session with the Colorado band, Bandits. The hard rock vibes are reminiscent of Queens of the Stone Age and Jack White, yet are completely the band’s own specific sound that they expertly made their own.

DJ TBD was lucky enough to host a live session and interview with singer-songwriter Trevor Hall during his stop in Colorado for his Fruitful Darkness tour. They discussed his unique, spiritual process of creating and releasing his music, and then he performed some acoustic renditions of the songs off of the newest album.       (Photo Credit: Christian Olson)

East coast progressive rock jam band Dopapod stopped by the station November 30th to sit back and relax with the Steiner Recliner. They discuss their music making process in relation to their latest 5th studio release as well as take KCSU listeners on a compelling live performance adventure.

Fort Collins band Shatterproof stop by the KCSU station for the Local Lunch Hour with DJ TBD to discuss their process of music creation which includes topics such as werewolves and social anxiety. Their unique blend of eclectic genres helps the band carve a significant space for themselves within the Colorado music landscape.
