Send us Fan Mail Today Ezekiel is reminding Israel and Judah of all their sins as the reason for their capture and exile. 

Send us Fan Mail Today Ezekiel teaches Judah (and us) that each person is responsible for his/her own sin or righteousness. We cannot blame anyone else for our wrong choices or rely on anyone else for our salvation. God emphasizes that He wants nothing more than for everyone to repent and come to HIm. 

Send us Fan Mail Today Ezekiel shows the exiles what is to come...both the judgement and the remnant that will be saved. He reminds them (us) that we cannot serve idols and expect to hear from God, too. We must choose.

Send us Fan Mail Today we see Ezekiel's vision of the cherubim showing him the corruption of Judah. He does include, however, the promise of deliverance to those whose hearts are repentant. 

Send us Fan Mail Today we meet the prophet Ezekiel. God is sending him to warn the exiles, in no uncertain terms, that God's punishment is coming. 

Send us Fan Mail Today we see a harsh prophesy against Babylon for the oppression of God's people. He reassures Israel and Judah that He still loves them and will forgive them, as well as destroy their enemy. 

Send us Fan Mail Today we see God speak out against false prophets who lead His people astray with their own words not from God. 

Send us Fan Mail Today we see Jeremiah tell the people of Judah in exile to settle in and live a full life for 70 years. He warns them to not believe anyone who prophesies otherwise. Jeremiah assures the exiles that God has a plan to prosper them and not harm them. (after they have served their 70 year sentence) 

Send us Fan Mail Today we see Jehoiakim's teenage son as king for just 3 months before being taken captive by Babylon. The new king, Zedekiah, is also evil and leads the people into becoming "more and more unfaithful". 

Send us Fan Mail Today we see Jeremiah speaking God's judgement on nations that have come against Judah. He reminds them that their power, riches, pride and arrogance mean nothing to God. He will destroy them in His time. We also see the death of King Jehoiakim.

Send us Fan Mail Today we meet Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They are especially blessed with strength of character and wisdom. God gives Daniel the ability to interpret the king's dream of a giant statue that is destroyed by a mysterious rock. 

Send us Fan Mail Today we see Jeremiah commanded to write down all the prophecies that he has been given. The Lord states His purpose: perhaps when the people hear every punishment planned for them, they will repent and avoid God's wrath.  King Jehoiakim, however,  then burns them, and they must be all written down again. 

Send us Fan Mail Today we see Jeremiah telling Judah that they will be in Babylonian captivity for 70 years. After that, God will punish Babylon for their guilt as well. Finally, Judah is about to actually experience God's punishment for their continual disobedience and rebellion. 

Send us Fan Mail Today Habakkuk, another prophet, asks God how a wicked nation can be used to punish God's own people. God tells him to just trust and wait for God to work out His plan in His way in His time. 

Send us Fan Mail Today Jeremiah prophesies judgement on Judah's enemies, but reassures Judah that they will not be completely destroyed along with them. 

Send us Fan Mail Today we see Josiah die in battle and his sons (who did evil in the eyes of the Lord) take over. The first  one dies in captivity and the second one is a puppet king for the Pharaoh of Egypt. Jeremiah is almost killed but is released while another prophet (who is saying the same things against Jerusalem) is killed for his negative prophesy.  

Send us Fan Mail Today we see some sweet relief from the message of death and destruction in store for God's people. Young King Josiah hears the ancient book of the law from Moses, cleanses the land of all the filthy idolatry and celebrates the Passover as God intended. As a reward for Josiah's faith, God will hold off His punishment until after Josiah dies. 

Send us Fan Mail Today Jeremiah becomes angry about being ridiculed, beaten and imprisoned overnight. After venting his anger, however, he praises God for His love and protection for those who have faith in Him. We also see a beautiful reminder that God can change His plan for us if we somehow ruin the first plan - like a potter changing the type of pot when the first one is misshapen.

Send us Fan Mail Today Jeremiah struggles a bit with this calling as no one seems to be listening. God reassures him that he will be protected and blessed as long as he continues to preach what God tells him. 

Send us Fan Mail Today Jeremiah gives Judah the bad news that God has had it and will not listen to their cries for mercy. They just keep rejecting Him. He can "no longer show compassion". 

Send us Fan Mail Today Jeremiah is nearly killed and has a bone to pick with God about why wicked people seem to flourish. God puts him back in his place and reminds him that He still loves His people and will rescue them after their punishment. The enemies of His children will be finally destroyed. 

Send us Fan Mail Today We see Jeremiah explaining why Judah has to be punished for their deceitful wicked ways. I also share some of my personal background as it relates to living a secret life of deceit and how destructive it is. ( I love how God uses HIs ancient Word to speak into our lives today!)

Send us Fan Mail Today we see Jeremiah reminding Judah that they brought their punishment upon themselves. He reminds them of how God has taken care of them, and they openly rejected Him.

Send us Fan Mail Today we see Israel seemingly beginning to repent, but Judah is not quite ready. God reveals His heart of love and anguish at the need to punish the wickedness of His people. 

Send us Fan Mail Today we meet the prophet Jeremiah. He reiterates what other prophets have said...Judah has been wicked and will be punished unless they repent. Judah responds like a child who thinks they can lie to God and He won't know what they've done.
