Enchanted Ears: A Disney Adults Podcast

Happy holidays! It’s been quite an amazing year! In this final episode of 2018, we recap our 2018 Disney highlights and discuss what we’re looking forward to most in 2019. Quality, yet again, is really the focal point here. It’s incredible what Disney does with consistency...they just make it look so EASY to produce greatness. Joe introduces the phrase audience-goer into the vernacular and we do a...

Merry Christmas!!! This week we cover the ins and outs of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. There’s so many lights and garlands and did I say lights? Find out all you need to know about this after-hours event. Good news, it’s still going on and you get free cookies and hot coco (and all that for just $105...at least). 🤣 Also, in Disney news, two Marvel trailers dropped! 🎉What an exciting week...

Disclaimer: don’t expect to win anything...pride only. 😆 Check us out on  Facebook  or  submit a question/topic  for...

Happy Birthday, Mickey!! 🎂🎈On this week’s episode, our main topic is Mickey’s 90th Birthday Spectacular on ABC. We discuss our highlights, and lowlights, and marvel at some of Mickey’s many amazing accomplishments. In addition to the show, we discuss what we thought of Ralph Breaks the Internet (hint: stop reading this and get thee to a movie theater) and my surprise, Lion King themed 30th birth...

Welcome to our most MARVELous episode yet! To honor Stan Lee’s amazing life, we dedicate this whole episode to the Netflix Marvel Televisic (totally not a word in case you were wondering) Universe. This episode doubles as our love letter to Daredevil, our first love and muse. Don’t worry if you like the other shows. We talk about them, too (a little). Also, we speculate what will happen once Disne...

n preparation for Disney’s release of Ralph Breaks the Internet (out November 21), we watched Wreck It Ralph again. In this episode, we remind ya’ll about what happens in the first movie and highlight some of the high points of the original concept. We also predict what we think Disney should emphasize in this larger-than-life concept where literally all of human existence and every meme ever crea...

I don’t like to pick favorites, but this is one of my favorite episodes we’ve done so far. We’re so excited to tell you about the Pixar Theory this week. What is the Pixar Theory exactly? It might be confusing and a little crazy, but this theory ties all of the Pixar flicks together in the same universe and under a unifying theme. Plus we discuss Ed Catmull’s retirement. Check us out on  Facebook...

Most of them are cute. A lot of them are fuzzy. All of them are awesome! This week we discuss some of our favorite Disney sidekicks. From gorillas to chameleons to genies, Disney’s thought of it all. We categorize and discuss what makes a truly great sidekick (hint: it’s not big eyes and an adorable face, although that helps). Also, we propose Enchanted Ears podcast bingo, a game where you as the...

Hello from the Modern-Day Shakespeare and the Undercover Horticulturist. It’s been a busy week for Disney, so in this episode, we discuss all of the changes and developments that have taken place. From Aladdin Disneybounding as Dopey to solar panels to price hikes to the possible closure of Spaceship Earth, we cover a lot of ground in this episode. Also, we answer some fun listener questions. Turn...

We don’t go to trivia night anymore, but we certainly would if it was Disney Trivia! So this week, play along to our game of two truths and a lie. Who will reign supreme? And by supreme, I mean just a little better at lying than the other person...and there’s always next time. Not bitter. We discuss hidden Mickeys, voice acting, original names of Disney Parks, which toys were and were not consider...

Hi, mom (and our three other listeners)! Angela and Joe here, deafening listeners since 2018! On this week’s episode, we discuss the Disney ticket price bump. Angela accepts Joe’s challenge to beat him in the Star Wars Rival Run and they announce their next Disney trip! 🎉 And Anjoe also determine the ideal Disney trip length assuming you can’t spend eternity there. ☹️ You also won’t want to miss...

This week we begin our Disney Decades series with the Roaring 20s, a time when people spent out the wazoo and men had never heard of hair gel or used tar to tame their crazy locks (unsuccessfully). #alternativefacts During this time, Walt Disney experiences difficulty between bankruptcy and “Bad Blood” Taylor Swift/Katy Perry-level fights, reminding us all that failure paves the road to success. (...

“Be Our Guest” this week, as we discuss our favorite Disney soundtracks in the hopes of crowning the Best Disney Soundtrack of All. It was a tough battle, but one hit-filled chart-topper ascends the throne to claim its rightful place! Will we decide we’ve never “Had a Friend Like [Aladdin]”? Toss aside our inhibitions and “Let It Go” with Frozen? Will we dive down and go “Under the Sea” with The L...

his week we discuss the Food and Wine Festival and all of its many magical wonders! There’s food! Alcohol! Celebrity chefs! Concerts! And so much more. Join us as we fantasize about Pacmanning our way through EPCOT and preparing (incorrectly) for hibernation. Our only complaint about the FAWF? That we can’t visit Wakanda...yet. Mentioned in the Episode -Disney - Zynga partnership -New baby giraffe...

This is what you get when we spend all weekend home improving...lots of singing and tangents. Warning: this episode contains Joe and Angela attempting to sing. (We are not responsible for any ear bleeding it may cause.) It also has Jane the Virgin spoilers for season 2. It might be a good idea to say what this episode is about, huh? Three words: Aladdin the Musical. Go see it. Take your kids. Take...

On this week’s episode, we see who’s a bigger Disney (Parks) addict and find out Joe needs to get a new cohost. That is until Angela gets Hei Hei tattooed on her arm. We also discuss favorite Disney movies by state (The Lion King for the win!). Amazingly, Angela manages to record despite her peppermint fire mustache which is still better than Chris Evan’s beard in Avengers Infinity War no matter w...

Boo! Bet we didn’t scare you! This week we talk about the very not scary Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween. In this episode, we explain what it is, when you can buy tickets, how much it costs, what cool and unique extras Disney offers, and we don’t miss an opportunity to talk about the food. Angela gets on a soapbox (shaped like Pride Rock) about Disney needing to include Scar in their celebration....

Well, hello there, friends! This week we have fun talking about the most overrated and underrated Magic Kingdom rides. We make it through maybe 25 minutes without mentioning The Rock, probably a podcast first. We also learn that Angela’s memory doesn’t even extend back 10 minutes...I kid you not, she forgot what she was writing before she finished writing this sentence. She also likes to write in...

Ready your blasters and prepare for this week’s discussion of the Star Wars VR experience. In this “virtually” spoiler-free episode, we touch on the exciting future of VR, give our reviews of the overall experience, and discuss the value of studying up before...well basically everything (especially reading Shakespeare). Also, prepare to enter Flavortown where Clint Eastwood will shoot you with one...

Disneybounding’s another amazing thing to do when you’re in the parks (or just at home and feeling like having some fun). In this episode, we talk about what it is, where it came from, and how to do it. Joe talks about accidentally bounding out to dinner (it wasn’t that good) and not Winnie-the-Poohing to the parks. We also answer which two Disney World theme parks we’d choose to go to if we could...

It’s the epic conclusion of our Marvel Royal Rumble, and the movies come to blows like The Incredible Hulk and Thor to win the Grandmaster’s Contest of Champions.  Joe and Angela are forced to pick favorites and come up with arguments as strong as blanket forts. Joe’s brain explodes, giving greater credence to the theory that he’s actually a robot. Also, #joestradomus—getting cocky after his accur...

Welcome to part one of the Marvel Royal Rumble! In this episode, we put all 20 current Marvel movies through a NCAA-style bracket to see which movie comes out on top for us. Also mentioned, Dr. Strange’s Sorcerer Supreme Pizza and Chris Hemsworth’s abs.  Plus we answer a listener question and explain why Pandora: The World of Avatar is like Disney’s new boyfriend. Mentioned in the Episode -Christo...

Godzilla v Mothra. Ali v Frazier. Disneyland v Disney World. Which will win? This week’s episode is a continuation of our discussion about our Disneyland experience. (We really, really enjoyed it!) We start out talking about Disney stunt robots and their potential in the Disney parks (and Joe sucks up some more to our future robot overlords). Then we move on to compare the two parks’ rides, castle...

Welcome to the INCREDIBLE ride that was our vacation in Disneyland. In this episode, we discuss the rides, the park in general, and the food. Oh the food... the thought of the Cheese Monte Cristo sandwich has me practically drooling like one of Pavlov’s dogs. Also, you learn about Dr. Sheldon Cooper’s—oops, I mean Joe’s—nerdy obsession with ride mechanics and theme park design. Mentioned in This E...
