The campaign was able to score some quality Trump 2020 signs (thank you to Chris Wells and the Hobart Republican Party). There are actually places requiring virtual meeting attendees to wear a mask. Yes, really. Our President lost his brother and the online hate has been sickening. Stay classy, lefties... 🙄 We'll talk about this and more tonight. Special Event: Donovan (Dion's 14 year old son) joins us for his take and just to hang out. I went door knocking in The Pines today (almost done) and met some more awesome people. I'll talk about that briefly but mostly we'll just hang out with Donovan and you can feel free to ask him (or me) whatever you like. I tried to attend the Michigan City Council Meeting today. It was scheduled for 6:30 PM...

I took Donovan with me to knock doors in Pinola area today. Pinola itself is kinda on the line of districts, but part of it is in my district. Once again many people I spoke to agreed wholeheartedly that my opponent has completely ignored any areas other than Michigan City. Speaking of Michigan City, the beach will continue to remain closed. There are some great things coming up! Stay tuned. Follo...

I attended the LaPorte County Council meeting and I'll pass along what I experienced and what I learned. I also tried to attend others and couldn't figure out what was up. I'll explain. Liz attended the Porter County Council tonight, but I don't have a breakdown of her notes. I'll cover that soon. There are varying stories out there about viewership on cable channels of the conventions. I know I watched my coverage online. How many of you did the same? Are these comparisons factoring that in? I received a text from my mother in law that I want to share with you. She's a life-long Democrat. Before Trump, she would have never voted Republican. She believed that the Democratic Party was for th...

Today Donovan and I got to meet MCPD's newest K9 Officer- Edo. Edo's handler, Officer Petrie, brought him to Bubbles today to give everyone a chance to meet them. Donovan had a blast and of course we had to get some of Bubbles' amazing ice cream afterwards. 6 Democrat mayors from Minnesota officially endorsed Trump today. Their words resonate with many. The conventions are over. We saw the DNC and...

CNN has advised the Democratic Party nominee to condemn the violence. People like safe neighborhoods. Who knew? 🤷‍♂️ So, like a good little minion, he did. 🙄 If only he had done so months ago, maybe we'd have less destruction across the nation. New information from the CDC was released and people started sharing it. CNN didn't like that. There are missing children being found across the nation a...

August is over. We survived level 8. Level 9 (September) is coming up and there is one major thing I would like to say: Be kind and strive for improvement. We are going to run across people we disagree with constantly. There are many ways we can deal with this. We can shut down the conversation and hurl insults or we can respect the other person and hear them out. That's what I'd like to talk to y...

I attended the Town of Pines Town Hall yesterday (that's why no video). I heard from a number of citizens as they voiced their concerns. Today I interviewed with Indiana NORML. We talked about the legalization efforts for cannabis in Indiana and where I stand. We talked about a number of relevant topics including criminal justice reform, sentencing, for-profit prisons, and how you can influence ch...

I've been working on short videos to upload so that those who are short on time can just go to the things they really want to know about. Who I am, where I stand on issues you care about, things like that. My Ballotpedia profile was updated so go check that out if you haven't already. Liz isn't feeling well. She has a sinus infection and is on antibiotics. Poor thing. I'm going to answer a few que...

Personal Responsibility plays a major role in our success and failure in life. Sure, it might be easier to blame outside forces for things that don't work out for you, but ultimately, we are responsible for our lives. Bad decisions have consequences. We hear the term #BackTheBlue and most people know what you mean. They understand that we appreciate the men and women that go out every day to put t...

We have something awesome we are planning. Liz had an amazing idea and we are in the process of setting it up. Let me lay it out for you and see what you think. Personally, I think it will be amazing! I attended the Westville Town Hall meeting last night and put my foot in my mouth. Oops. I did learn quite a bit though. I'll tell you all about it. No Conspiracies. No Blame. No Hate. Just a chat. Just going to talk about September 11th, 2001 and how it changed us. Join me if you like. We may have some guests from Indiana NORML tonight. If so, we'll talk about their efforts to legalize cannabis in Indiana and what some of the arguments that they face are. I've been working with them to have them on but haven't received final confirmation. Fingers crossed. If not, I'll talk about the upcoming events I'm working on and how we can make them awesome! We'll also touch on some recent...

Schools are back in session across the country. Reports are coming in from some of these schools that an agenda-driven lesson plan is in effect. There seems to be some very concerning things going on. Pay attention to what your children are being taught. I'll show you what I mean. We were able to lock in the American Legion in Chesterton for September 29th for our watch party and meet and greet ev...

Jill Biden tells voters that the pandemic will go away if they vote. No, I'm not kidding. I'll show you. There's also a poster that makes some very serious predictions. It reminds me of 2016 all over again. Today Donovan will join us for a special event. We'll talk to him about what our system of government is (Republic) despite all the claims otherwise. We'll talk about the differences between a Constitutional Republic and a direct Democracy. This came up due to a discussion we had today and a question he asked me. After answering the question I recommended we have a more in-depth discussion online...

Last night was the South County Community Coalition's monthly meeting and it was there that I learned that the Election Division was having a special meeting today. The meeting was about two early voting locations- Coolspring and Wanatah locations. Wow. That's really all I can say. I can't wait until Justin Kiel writes about this. Oh my. To say it was a wild ride is an understatement. Join me for...

We have all 3 locations secured for the Watch Party/Meet and Greet events. 9/29 Chesterton at the American Legion 10/15 Westville at the American Legion 10/22 Michigan City at the DAV We're working on getting all events on Facebook and Eventbrite. I'll share with you how it will work and what to expect. It's also the Night of the Karens. Top Karens from across the country (maybe the world). I find...

There are some loud voices on social media that are very displeased with our current Governor. What if Holcomb isn't re-elected? What if Meyers wins? What if history is made and a 3rd party candidate wins? What would that mean for the state? What would that mean for the General Assembly? Could a Democrat make things worse? Indiana's Governor has powers assigned by the General Assembly. Austin and...

Today I attended a #BackTheBlue rally in Portage. We had a number of interesting interactions with people. Most positive. A few negative. Nothing physical. As a matter of fact I made several interesting observations. People are quick to make assumptions. Mark Leyva (R) Candidate for 1st District Congress was there as well. He stayed for a little while then had to leave. I'll tell you all about it....

We have some special guests this evening. Indiana NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) joins us to talk about their ongoing efforts to re-legalize cannabis in the state of Indiana and federally. We'll get to ask them about their mission, why they think so many legislators are either openly against it or drag their feet on legislation, and talk about the mountains of resea...

Wrapping up the last bit of preparation for tomorrow's watch party and meet & greet event. It will be in Chesterton at the American Legion. The event starts at 7 and the debate shenanigans begin at 8. The event will be streamed to the standard platforms- YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. The team will be on hand for Q&A and general hilarity. This isn't an overly somber and dour event. We're...

It's been a crazy few days. My apologies for the lack of videos but I think tonight will make up for it. I got a mailer from my opponent today. Do people still waste money on that? Apparently. The funny part isn't the mailer, it's what it says. I'll fill you in tonight. My opponent finally got around to getting a website. This is a recent thing because I've been looking for a while and this just h...
