Conversations With Dannette

My entire life has been lived understanding that I am not for everyone. I do wonder sometimes why black people in particular have been so unwelcoming toward me at times. I thought it important to share my feelings behind these rejections but also show people how it doesn't have to rob you of your joy.

I want to create a space that compliments the podcast.

I am the constant devil's advocate. I don't personally have a horse in this race, I feel disappointed that women cannot see how imperative it is to be a big sister, in other words, and just embrace the young ladies that are coming up behind us.

With so much misinformation there has to be a place where the truth and information within it's context can be shared. People have got to stop spreading misinformation when it takes literally 2 minutes to research and find the truth.

This was an ongoing conversation I was happening on a private local 1977 union carpenter's page on Facebook.

I am always still shocked about what I hear coming out people's mouths today. I'm not used to it and it is so counterintuitive to things I know for sure that I'm not sure why people can be so led by the nose this way then call themselves critical thinkers.

It seems as if people have only just recently understood that our country is a Republic. Yep if you were paying attention in poli-sci you would know this BUT now people are saying our country isn't a Democracy. Smh

I never really talk about Candice. I try not to judge but I believe she has used her ability to be a great orator as a weapon against blacks to placate the ideologies of the right.

I have so many contentious and controversial conversations on social media. This one was no exception. What's different with me is we usually are able to end the conversation on a positive note.

I was literally sick when I recorded this. I was exhausted too but I wanted to have something that documented our bout with Covid.

I woke up one morning remembering my entire dream. It was such an adventure. I felt compelled to record it 😊

This is a poignant example of how black voices get drowned out by white tears.

I really did learn that day through that conversation. It is the perfect example of how conversations teach.

I've had many viral posts or comments but this one in particular really demonstrates the power of a good conversation.

I've had too many times where what I say gets misconstrued because people are so used to just having preconceived notions about people. I started recording because I needed that to stop hindering my conversations.

So many good people have been victimized by a billionaire who has lied for so long and has surrounded himself with so many 'yes' men that we must call it out. He abandoned those who he rallied to fight for him. Little did they know he would deem them disposable if they didn't succeed.

I've literally spent most of my adult life raising children. It's about time I start focusing on my personal goals.

I feel compelled to record what I've actually already been doing for the last 20 years. I've just been having conversations with thousands of people. I'm grateful to have a place where people can hear me.

So this is in Aug 2019 about 10 months before I actually recorded my first podcast. I had just woken up from a vivid dream and thought it important to recall this vivid celebrity-filled dream.
