As the book of Acts ends, the story of God’s mission doesn’t. Luke leaves the story open, inviting us to step into the next chapter. In this message, we’ll unpack Acts 28:17–31 and see that the Gospel has traveled from Jerusalem to Rome and now to the ends of the earth—including right here in Honolulu. We are called to live as Spirit-empowered witnesses, not just to know the Great Commission but t...

Acts 10 is a major turning point in God's story --- not just in Acts, but in the entire story of Scripture. The Spirit sends Peter to preach the gospel to a Roman Centurion, and the gospel breaks out to all the nations of the earth. And yet, this story isn't just about "the nations." It's also a story about Peter. God wants to shift Peter's perspective to God's h...

This week we continued our series in the book of Acts, looking at how the gospel spread beyond Jerusalem into Judea and Samaria—even in the face of persecution. Through the story of Philip, we’re reminded that God uses ordinary people in extraordinary ways, and that His gospel is unstoppable. Just like Philip, we are all called to step out, be Spirit-empowered witnesses, and bring the hope of Jesu...

This week we launch our new series Activated and Empowered: A Missional Journey Through the Book of Acts . Pastor Chad unpacks Acts 1:1–11, reminding us that followers of Jesus are Spirit-empowered witnesses. The same Spirit that empowered the early church is alive in us today—charging us with God’s power, breaking the idol of comfort, and sending us into our families, neighborhoods, and the natio...

On Anniversary Sunday, we celebrate the favor of God over our church’s story—His faithfulness through challenges, His blessings of growth, and the lives transformed along the way. Looking to our future as being a multi-site church, we’ll hear from the Pastors of both New Life Church and The Testimony Church as they share how God is moving in both Downtown and Central Oahu.

On Anniversary Vision Sunday, we celebrate the favor of God over our church’s story—His faithfulness through challenges, His blessings of growth, and the lives transformed along the way. Looking back fills us with gratitude, but God’s favor always points us forward. Just like pregnancy carries both joy and responsibility, we believe God has entrusted us with a vision that requires faith, stewardsh...

God gives us the armor we need to stand firm against the enemy’s schemes. Victory comes not by striving harder, but by standing strong in God’s strength and protection. Discussions Questions:  1. Do you find it hard to stand firm against the enemy’s schemes? 2. Is there a piece of your spiritual armor that feels weak? 3. Who do you know that has a powerful prayer life that you would be willing to...

In a world where culture constantly pulls us back into old patterns, how do we live out our new identity in Christ? In this message, Pastor Brett unpacks Ephesians 5:1–10, showing how we are called to imitate God, reject the old life, and walk as children of light. This isn’t about behavior modification but about transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit. You’ll discover how cultural for...

Kingdom identity is knowing who I am and what I’ve got as a child of the Most-High God and then living that identity alongside others in the Kingdom. It’s an “On earth as it is in heaven” mindset.  Daughters and sons of the MOST-HIGH God…BRING KINGDOM WHEREVER THEY GO. Kingdom is not a solo assignment. It’s a ONE ANOTHER kind of thing. It’s A KAKOU thing. Yet, this can be challenging for many beli...

In this message from our Ephesians series, “Empowered to Walk and Stand,” Pastor Chad helps us explore Paul’s powerful prayer in Ephesians 3:14 –21 — not as theology to be studied, but as a lifeline to be received. If you’ve ever felt too weak to pray, distant from God, or unsure of how deeply you’re loved, this passage meets you right there. This message unpacks how to move from knowing about God...

Ephesians is a letter Paul writes to strengthen and encourage a spiritually mature church, which he knows intimately, to "walk" in their calling and to "stand" firm against spiritual opposition. In his opening prayer, Paul prays for Christians to know God in deeper ways through a fresh experience with the Holy Spirit. And Paul also prays for Christians to firmly grasp our new r...

As we close this series, we look at Jesus' final meal with His disciples to discover what true greatness and legacy really mean in God's kingdom. Rather than climbing higher or seeking recognition, Jesus modeled a life of descending lower to serve others — even washing feet. Through stories, Scripture, and practical challenges, we’re invited to move beyond simply knowing about humility a...

What happens when Jesus sits at your table? In this message, we explore the story of Zacchaeus—a man whose entire life was built around hoarding, calculating, and control. But one encounter with Jesus transformed his priorities from fear and self-protection to joyful, radical generosity. His story challenges us to trust God with what we treasure most, and to embrace a life of open-handed Kingdom g...

In this message, we explore the powerful story of Mary and Martha from Luke 10:38–42. Through the lens of “Meals with Jesus,” we’re reminded that discipleship isn't just about doing things for Jesus—it’s about being with Him. In a culture that celebrates productivity and performance, Jesus gently calls us to slow down, sit at His feet, and rediscover the beauty of presence over performance. W...

Hospitality isn’t just good manners and good food and good company; it's Kingdom Mission. The table is where transformation can happen, where Jesus reveals Himself, and where the Gospel gets personal. The enemy of our soul does not want relationships with others to be built up in Christ. No, he does not. There’s something about sharing life at a table; a place where openness is encouraged, vu...

In this special Father’s Day message, Pastor Chad helped us explore the ache beneath our striving—the question we’re all asking in one form or another: Am I loved? Through the story of the prodigal son, we discover a God who is a father and runs toward us, whether we’ve rebelled and wandered or stayed and strived. Which son do you relate to more in this season— the one who ran or the one who staye...

We close out our Send Me series on Pentecost Sunday by exploring The Call to Bold Empowerment. Pastor Chad teaches through God’s presence to the upper room in Acts 2, where the Spirit fills ordinary people with extraordinary power. We’re reminded that God doesn’t wait for us to be perfect—He sends the available, not just the impressive. This message challenges us to live Spirit-empowered lives tha...

Jesus didn’t just rise—He ascended to empower His Church and send us on mission. In this message from Acts 1:1–11, we’re reminded that the Holy Spirit is our source of power, we are God’s plan A, and the mission continues through us. Discussion Questions: 1. When you think about your relationship with Jesus, what role or position do you imagine Jesus holding? Your savior? Your friend? Have you eve...

The mission doesn’t start overseas — it starts with God’s presence. In this message, we’ll unpack how to live as someone empowered by the Spirit for everyday mission. From Isaiah’s awe-filled encounter with God to the disciples receiving the breath of the Holy Spirit, be challenged to move from abiding to action. Whether it’s through small steps at work, conversations with neighbors, or Spirit-led...

God doesn’t need your perfection—just your “yes.” This message from Isaiah 6 reminds us that mission begins with awe, not action. Before we go, we must encounter God’s holiness, confront our sinfulness, and receive His cleansing grace. When Isaiah experienced God’s presence, he didn’t bring a resume—he brought surrender. And that was enough. If you’ve ever felt unworthy, uncertain, or unprepared,...

In this week’s message, Pastor Chad explores one of the most subtle yet powerful temptations Jesus faced—the temptation to prove Himself and gain influence through shortcuts rather than surrender. This message isn’t just about resisting temptation—it’s about releasing the pressure to perform, post, or prove and anchoring ourselves in the identity God has already spoken over us. Through Matthew 4,...

Before Jesus ever preached a sermon or performed a miracle, He was tested. In this message, we explore the first temptation Jesus faced in the wilderness — turning stones into bread — and how it speaks to our own battles with comfort, control, and craving. What do you reach for when life wears you down? Pastor Chad unpacks how Jesus overcame the lust of the flesh not through willpower, but through...

This week, Pastor Tiffa challenges us to step into greater victory by recognizing and using the authority Jesus has given us. His authority not only sends, guides, and empowers us — it belongs to us through Him. Do you know the authority you carry in Christ? And do you know how to walk in it?  Let’s dive into God’s Word and invite the Holy Spirit to give us a deeper understanding. Discussion Quest...
