Anime Pulse

We founded a new company. We don’t have a charter, funding, or any kind of plan. But we will be offering a Kickstarter. That’s still a thing, right? We pride ourselves on being on the leading edge of trends. See also our brand new NFTs.(Please note this is a joke and don’t worry that we are making NFTs far too late in the party.) Tim has one more visit to Yankee JK Kuzuhana. If you recall, this is...

This week on Anime Pulse we got a very controversial pizza topping, MILF Isekai, and the blondest community topic yet. Up first Joseph was blown away by a Vodka cream sauce over Paccheri, and Andrew is looking for hot blonds in our area. Then in the news SONY buys out an entire movie chain, a man with no name saves a drowning boy, and AI artwork brings cancel culture. And lastly in the reviews Jos...

Up first Joseph talks about his experience with a recent Turkey Reuben, and Andrew would like to know who out favorite duos in anime are. Then in the industry news a man thinks he can shakedown a lady with just a necktie, and Guilty Gear is getting an anime made by the Sakura Wars st...

There’s a fascinating era of Hollywood where they just loved making Jack the Ripper into part of a film. This could often manifest as as garbage like Terror at London Bridge where Jack gets resurrected. Or Time After Time where Jack, played by the incredible David Warner, time travels to modern day Los Angeles and begins killing there. But how about a movie that references Jack the Ripper but does...

This week on Anime Pulse we got otaku bravery, damn good pizza, and degenerate community topics. Up first Joseph reports in on how his Blaze pizza turned out, and Andrew gets a little perverted with this week's community topic. Then in the industry news we got a full sandwich with the passing of a great, worrisome news about Gainax, and Himmel inspired actions. Lastly we're back to reviews as Jose...

Looks like the boys are back in town. By that, we mean the two hosts you’ve come to know an love so, so much. And by town we mean the manga that evident by the title and number attached. So won’t it be a surprise to everyone when we actually spend the whole time reviewing a pair of riding lawn mowers. Of course we can’t afford any of that. So we start with Tim and Black Night Parade. It’s Christma...

Imagine it’s the year two thousand. The President rules America as he travels Europe. After twenty plus years, he’s still vital and oversees our national pastime, Death Race 2000(1975). Fan favorite racer , Frankenstein returns to compete once more along with a few newcomers. Who will collect the most points and kill as they race from New York to L.A.? Those of us in the future know the answer but...

Up first Joseph is playing a new game called Songs of Conquest, and Andrew regals us with his trip to Japan. Then in the industry news, there is none! So we quickly get into the final round of previews for the spring 2024 season woth Joseph avoiding a boarding house full of quirky people due to his curse...

Price check on manga. I need a price check on manga. Yes, I am aware this is a supermarket price check gag and that it was old even back in the eighties. Which means it’s beyond not relevant to make one now. Maybe we could do a random department page over the intercom. Grocery stores still do that. They also do those funny announcements about security like that deters shoplifters. Tim has Blade of...

It’s Monday, folks. At least when we’re recording. It also is often when we post because that’s our schedule. But even if it’s one of the other six days of the week, treat it like it’s Monday. By that we mean groan, clock in not more than a second before you’re obligated, and glare at the first people you interact with. Then brace yourself for discussion of movies. We start us off with Hudson Hawk...

This week on Anime Pulse we got even more previews, shaved heads, and community thoughts on the season thus far. Up first Joseph takes the plunge into doing something he has put off for years, and Andrew is relieved that the Anime Pulse website has returned to regular operations. After...

Oh my goodness, things are moving along again. That means a post is due. Have we done something about leaves being raked? Does that work for anything? No? Crap. We’ll cut right to the brass tacks then. This is a manga show and we’ve managed to read and produce a review for two. We hope you’ll listen, like, subscribe, and send two box tops plus proof of purchase along with a check for shipping to c...

Two households, both alike in dignity. In fat America, where we lay our scene. And that’s about all we can figure to work in a Shakespeare reference in the few minutes we knock these out. Besides we wanted to get a little classy before we tackle an A24 movie. Yup, we watched Civil War[2024]. If you’ve seen the trailers, then you’ve got some expectations as to what we’re in for. War scenes, bad thi...

This week on Anime Pulse we got more previews, attacking someone over spoilers, and 100 year anniversaries. Up first Joseph quickly mentions his attendance at the 100 year anniversary for is other job, before Andrew goes into community with a question about anime eyes. Then in the industry news Andrew takes it away with a stinky Yu-Gi-Oh event, and a man who got a little too heated after Oshi no K...

If you’re reading this then you’re probably hearing about all the issues on website posts. Which is ironic because the only way this shows up is that the issues are resolved. One of those kind of funny paradoxes where you get to hear about it for the next couple of episodes now that it’s all done. It’s kind of like getting the results back from a cancer screening after you’ve already had surgery t...

Everyone has heard the word in Hollywood. That word is exploitation and shady sexual favors. Wait, that’s not a word. The word is remake. That thing we’ve been complaining about long enough to wear out a couple of presidents. Hollywood is nothing if not persistent in their endeavor. Once they’ve bit down they will do a death roll until everybody has drowned. So we’re talking about a remake with Ro...

This week on Anime Pulse we got a bunch of previews, very little IRL news, and space ships! Up first Joseph skips the IRL news section with Andrew to go straight into community, which is all about our favorite anime space ships. Then in the industry news, there is one! And finally we have a chungus previews episode to make up for the fact there will be no show next week. Joseph is banished by his...

This week on Anime Pulse we got no IRL news, short stacks, and a father takes a really long bike ride. Up first is the community section, because both Joseph and Andrew have zero things to talk about. Then in the industry news it's a swap as Joseph is the only one with something to mention, and it's about an old man who rode his bike over 300 miles. And finally in the final reviews before we trans...

Suddenly there was a shout. The maid pointed towards the entryway. “Look out, he’s got a nug!” She bellowed. We discovered afterwards that she had long been diagnosed as having too much black bile and that lead to a curious condition. A transposing of letters in her speech and reading. This did not affect her day to day for what maid needed to be properly lettered as she polished the silver. Still...

Then in the industry news we got a single whole topic, but it's pretty big, 60,000 minutes big to be exact! And in the reviews Joseph...

It seems there’s a little rift open to the past. I can hear ragtime music and people talking in transatlantic accents. Hop in your old bone shaking Model T and drive down past the five and dime. Because we’re on a trip through history and film with Vivacious Lady(1938). Jimmy Stewart plays a professor who meets a nightclub performing girl, Ginger Rogers. They hit it off instantly and get married j...

This week on Anime Pulse we got 1000% psycho, a very short community segment, and snow. Up first Joseph had to dig himself out after old man winter took a dump on his lawn, and Andrew took some days off and spent them on family. Then in the industry news the greatest heist of the century sees the villains caught and arrested, and you may get a chance to soon ride the dragon and eat some balls at a...
