Anime Doubleplay

After a bomb week of finales, we reflect on everything we watched this year and pick a top 5! Warning: Mary messes up, we forgot Attack on Titan, and shenanigans ensue.

Not to sound like a broken record, but this was another amazing week in anime. Dried persimmons, shoot outs at the shinkansen, and hype hype volleyball. What a wild ride. And we start winding the year down by putting together some of our own awards! Will your favorites win?

Attack on Titan is back and we are more confused than ever. And then we skip ahead to 2021 and check out the new season. It's sequels galore in January and we're not complaining!

Our mouths were to the floor for a majority of the episodes this week! Golden Kamuy! Talentless Nana! Haikyuu actually being almost good again! We're excited to talk about some pretty cool stuff...join in on the conversation.

How much longer will we be able to tolerate mediocre Haikyuu episodes? Good thing the rest of the season is carrying the entire Karasuno team on its back. Golden Kamuy takes us the Russia and Akudama Drive blasts off to the moon. What an unpredictable season!

Mary and Thomas catch up on an action-packed 4 days of anime and talk about anime's "craziest conspiracy theories"... or are they?

It's a special Sunday night episode! Thomas shares a crazy story, of course you-know-who killed Nicholas II, and we show off some discord conversation fun with our 30-day anime challenge!

Happy Halloween! Mary beats P3, Kenma has guts, and we talk about our favorite creepy, crawly 'mons!

Golden Kamuy blew us away this week with an episode that was one of the best of the year so far. Actually, between Golden Kamuy, Haikyuu, and the rest of the season, basically all the episodes this week were worth talking about!

We are drowning in anime...and other people are drowning too (we see you, Nana)...

Get ready for an anime marathon! We dive into the new season headfirst. We want to watch 10 shows this time around. Can we actually do it?

Mary has achieved a lifelong dream and it is time to look to the future at the next season of anime. Golden Kamuy! Haikyuu! And a couple of other good looking new series in the mix!

We are back with a lot to catch up on! We talk through the last two weeks of anime (or at least try to remember it) and talk about some of our favorite female characters! Can you guess who we picked?

Re:Zero blows Thomas' mind and we read through some pretty crazy bad manga summaries that make us question...everything.

We read some ads, we talk about some Japanese cartoons, and we brainstorm the next episode because this one was going nowhere. Enjoy what we pulled out of our low functioning minds.

It's a bird! It's a plane! Wait... Is it actually my brother?

Mary and her friend Chris talk about last season's Say Yesterday to Me and some new Summer 2020 anime...along with other series that mean a lot to us!

Mary and Ganon catch up on their individual anime lives and get pumped for the new season starting in a few weeks! Getting excited about some pretty interesting titles. What are you planning to watch?

150 episodes! Three years! Can you believe it's been so long? Well, we are here to celebrate and talk about some of our favorite characters. 150 of them in fact...but it's a little different than last time. Buckle up for a waifu round up!

Mary finally gets her episode of Interviews with Anime Noobs, featuring her roommate Michaela and a classic anime movie for you to enjoy!

Took us long enough! We are finally here to talk about one of last year's most talked about anime, Beastars!

Where we try to talk about as much as we can as fast as we can. And fail...kinda of.

We catch everyone up on our quarantine happenings, video game and manga-wise, and jump into the new season with our yays, nays, and confusion. When was the first car made? Can everyone in LA in 1860 speak Japanese? When was the Civil War?

Buckle up because we're diving into a new season of anime! We have an awesome variety this season with pretty strong action, drama and historical fiction. And guys, if you haven't heard, Listeners is cool.

Finales and debuts coming your way during week three of the quarantine! And this week, Mary has the most special of special quests...
