This week we watch Nashville, Robert Altman's 1975 classic. This one we really just tried to keep up with and it's fairly epic, 2 hours and 45 minutes of crazy but we give you our best. The IMDB summary say's: Over the course of a few hectic days, numerous interrelated people prepare for a political convention as secrets and lies are surfaced and revealed. And honestly that's probably as good as a...

This week we watch Super Cops (1974), directed by Gordon Parks. IMDB gives this as a summary: The true story of two New York City cops. Greenberg & Hantz fought the system, became detectives and were known on the streets as "Batman & Robin" Trailer (well kind of more like scenes from the movie) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGDkvKCyqCU We give our thoughts on the movie and rate it. This week we watch The Hospital made in 1971 and starring the great George C Scott. IMDB's summary says "An over-burdened doctor struggles to find meaning in his life while a murderer stalks the halls of his hospital." This is a good start but only such a small part of the story. Join as we talk about The Hospital. Also there is a rape scene in this film about half way through and you should be fo...

Join us in a conversation about Serpico. We discuss this film and its larger implications for law enforcement. This week we watched Serpico a cop movie to kick off a conversation about law enforcement.  IMDB describes the movie like "An honest New York cop named Frank Serpico blows the whistle on rampant  corruption in the force only to have his comrades turn against him." This movie was an excellent look at corruption from an inside source. Once again we talk through the whole damn thing but wit...

We spend more time with George C Scott as he commands the screen and  some dolphins. IMDB describes this film as "A marine biologist teaches  his dolphins to communicate in English but  shady characters plan to  kidnap the trained mammals for a more sinister  purpose." Trailer can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMhRuYTv88k

From the IMDB page: Unable to deal with her parents, Jeannie Tyne  runs away from home. Larry and Lyne Tyne search for her, and in the  process meet other people whose children ran away. With their children  gone, the parents are now free to rediscover/enjoy life.   — Dan Goldwasser <dang+@cmu.edu>   There doesn't appear to be a trailer online so instead here's the m...

We bring you our thoughts on Omega Man Due to an experimental vaccine, Doctor Robert Neville is the only  survivor of an apocalyptic war, with the exception of a few hundred  deformed, nocturnal people who are also homicidal maniacs. They blame  science and technology for their condition and they see Neville, as the  last symbol of science, therefore he must die. Neville, uses...
