HINTS OF THE COMING SEASON 24.10.2026

We currently have many hints of the coming season. The nights are colder and we have had our first frost. The sky seems more dramatic at sunset. I believe it is good to be aware of what may take place in future by staying aware of the current moment and trusting our team to help us navigate as we move forward. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

HAVING A DESTINATION 23.10.2026

One of my favorite destinations when the weather is good is just a short walk from the cabin to the bench at the top of the Lupine Field. There I take a few moments to let my mind float away into the Cosmos. For me it is good to have destinations or goals that are flexible; I am grateful my team is in charge of getting me there. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

TIME FOR A GRASS CUT 22.10.2026

It is the time of year when we need to cut the grass in the fields in preparation for next year’s growth. If this isn’t done, the forest will take over shortly. In life things can become overgrown and cover up our original intentions. We need to set our intentions to be aware of what needs to be done to move forward. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

AN OVERABUNDANCE 21.10.2026

We have an overabundance of sweet fern growing on the mountainside. It thrives anywhere there is an open space. In other locations it is desirable as a landscape shrub. It is good to find a balance in life and repurpose the things that do not serve us anymore. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

STILL LINGERING 20.10.2026

The yellow leaves are still lingering on the tree while in other places the colors have faded. I enjoy the lingering color, but I think of negative habits people have that linger because they don’t want to or know how to change. Setting a positive goal for the change and every day reminding yourself of your intentions may help create success. www.michaelhathaway.com Support the show

CASTING A SHADOW 18.10.2026

As the daylight wanes and the sun slides westward the shadows grow longer. This fall ritual of Nature creates an interesting pattern of light versus dark on the mountains. People often think casting a shadow mean an omen of negativity. I believe each of us has the ability of shining a light of positivity and hope over any darkness. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

A CRUNCHY CARPET 18.10.2026

Now that the foliage season is winding down, the ground is covered with a crunchy carpet of leaves. The woods come alive with the sound of movement not heard during the summer. Each sound makes us wonder what is making it. Life itself can become more alive when we pay attention. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

MAGICAL MOMENTS 17.10.2026

Each day my goal is to set my intentions to experience magical moments following my soul’s path. One such moment happens when I see the mountains across the valley. I feel heart-based gratitude, and my senses feel alive as I intend to share what I feel through positive actions. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

FINDING JOY IN EVERY DAY 16.10.2026

If time and weather allow, I intend to find an opportunity every day to walk a trail on the mountainside. For me it is a wonderful way to experience joy and peace. I think one of the secrets of finding balance in life is to discover something that brings you heartfelt joy, which I am grateful to share with others. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

THE FOREST UNDER ATTACK 15.10.2026

I noticed several oak tree tips on the ground. Something was attacking them. Almost every species in the woods has a type of pest trying to get nourishment from them, causing damage. A lot of people feel that they are living under some kind of attack. It is comforting to believe that something is watching over us. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

LOOKING INTO THE DISTANCE 14.10.2026

From the top of the Mountain I can observe the valley below and the ridges and peaks. Looking north  I can look into the distance and see the large mountains known as the Great Whites. I can feel the cold breeze and yet I can only imagine what is like to be up there. It is good to have different views wherever we are in life. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

THE COLORS ARE FADING 13.10.2026

I took another walk from the cabin over to the Lupine field to observe the fading colors of the fall foliage. I knew that soon we would be in what many consider the bleak portion of autumn, before the snow arrives. I think there is much to discover no matter what the season. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

LIGHT PLAY 12.10.2026

I am fascinated by how the sunlight or lack thereof plays on the mountainside. I am fortunate to observe lighting as pertains to photography, and that causes me to see movement at a slow pace. People in a hurry can miss the wonders that are right in front of them. Try watching the light play. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

AMAZING THINGS HAPPEN WHEN GROUPS COME TOGETHER 11.10.2026

Recently I had the opportunity to watch volunteers from the Granite Back County Alliance and Timberland Outdoor Equipment Company from all over New England help in the annual fall cleanup of our backcountry ski trails. Amazingly positive things happen when groups come together. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

SPENDING SOME TIME WITH FALL 10.10.2026

Many people come to the mountains to experience the splendor of the fall foliage. Yet, many miss the valuable benefit of taking time to be one with Nature. When one does that, no matter the season, no matter how long, it is possible to feel refreshed and ready to reenter the flow of life. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

I WONDER WHAT SHAPES THE CLOUDS 09.10.2026

Did you ever wonder what shapes the clouds? I do, especially when the form has meaning to me. Is it by accident or is there a spiritual energy involved? It is like synchronicities in life. Do they happen by accident or by some grand design? www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

THE FIRST SNOW 08.10.2026

The first snow of the season covered the top of Mount Washington, and, although there will be warm spells ahead, it is a warning that it won’t be long before the snow covers the foothills. I was grateful to see the snow and the still colorful foliage on the mountains below. Nature can give us a lot of beautiful moments when we look for them. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

LOOKING DOWN ON THE WORLD 07.10.2026

Standing on top of the mountain, I can look down on the world below me which includes a small pond ringed by miniature houses. I am reminded of my grandmother’s tiny Christmas village with its cotton snow covered landscape. In life it is good to be able to look at situations from a distance as well as from the ground level. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

LOOKING FOR LUCK 06.10.2026

Lots of people will search for a four-leaf clover, considered to be a symbol of good luck. Is luck random, or is it more than that? Is it possible that our intention sends out energy to attract either positive or negative luck? I think there may be more to luck than just luck. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

DEFINING THE EDGES 05.10.2026

Lori has been spreading much of the big load of woodchips over landscaping fabric and defining the edges of the paths in the gardens at the Center. Her efforts will help keep the weeds down next summer, allowing visitors to focus on the beauty of the flowers. It is good to define the paths we travel in our Soul’s map, so we don’t stray off course from our life purpose. www.michaelhathaway.com   Su...

ON BORROWED TIME 04.10.2026

The barrel planter in Barbara’s Garden is filled to the rim with beautiful annual flowers. They are living on borrowed time as there will be a killing frost in the near future. I intend to enjoy them while they are still blooming. Knowing that life situations may change, we have the choice of living in fear or appreciating the positive moments. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

DRESSED FOR FALL 03.10.2026

A patch of wild blueberries in a corner of the Lupine Field is now dressed up in fall colors. I wonder how many people hike on by with their attention focused on the other leaves and miss the show right under their feet. It is easy to miss people with hidden abilities that are a major part of the landscape of life. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

THE FIRST COUPLE WEEKS IN OCTOBER 02.10.2026

Many people consider the first couple of weeks in October to be the best time of the year. The foliage is at its peak, and the weather is still relatively warm. My intention is to find the good in each month as well as each day. A positive attitude can help us smooth out the not so positive times of the year. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

PRESTO CHANGE-O 01.10.2026

We had been waiting and waiting for the leaves to color up, and it wasn’t until after a couple days of rain that, “presto change-o”, a magical change in the foliage took place. Sometimes in life we wait and wait, and then, all of a sudden, a change happens. The key is to concentrate on the positive instead of the negative. www.michaelhathaway.com   Support the show

THE FLOW IS BACK 30.09.2026

We have had a lot of rain recently from the northeaster that slowly made its way up the coast.  The water is flowing in the little brook that passes by our house and helps relieve the summer dry spell. People can go through dry spells in their lives when their creativity seems non-existent. At least we can reach out to our Source and give thanks for helping to break our dry spells. www.michaelhath...
