It’s a very sweet treat for the girls in pink. We have two very special guests sitting down discussing all things that are happening in Australia within the Australian Honey industry. We touch on the V word ( yes we go there again) importation of honey and have a good laugh at the strangest places we have been stung. This is our industry and we love being able to discuss our passion with you all.

Simon from Save the Bees Australia has graciously made the time to sit down and have a chat about the V word. Varroa. 14 months on and the DPI are still killing healthy hives and the red zones are still spreading. Commercial pollinators are still moving their hives around and what’s worse - interstate to the almond farms. Let’s talk about what’s happening on our shores.

Steph and I sit down and discuss the various different methods of extracting honey. We discuss what does cold, raw unadulterated honey really mean and WHY do Steph and I choose to do the 159 year old method of cold crushing our honey?! Enjoy!

Happy World Bee day! But what does it mean?! We have a chat discussing why this isn’t just a hallmark occasion. It’s more than that. It’s celebrating our existence. It’s celebrating the hardest workers of them all. Our bees.

This is a repost as it got taken down (weirdly ) In NSW our bees are dying: We are facing the hard facts of Varroa on our shores. The DPI are hitting this hard with the euthanasia of all beehives in the red zone including healthy hives. We sit and discuss with Vast Harvest their personal story and the devastation that is varroa.

As we approach winter did you know the best thing to plant is broccoli in the colder season? The bees loveit, we love it and we promise a few laughs along the way.

With Varroa finding its way on our shores June 2022 the DPI have hit this pest hard. Healthy hives are being euthanised within a 10km radius of varroa being discovered in a hive. What does all of this mean? I sit down with Nathan and have a chat about this very sad and controversial situation.
