Taylor & Perri
Voice Notes
Hi! And welcome to Voice Notes with Taylor & Perri, where we decided that the best way for us to tell our friends and family about our three month adventure abroad is to voice record ourselves processing our days (usually sitting in bed with brushed teeth and tired feet). We imagine some days we’ll have too many stories to tell, and other days we might not have much to say at all. But that’s the beauty of voice notes— we get to share (insert magnitude of significance) moments, and everything in between. We miss you, we love you, and we hope you laugh with us as we laugh at ourselves.

Day 18 18.03.2025 29:25
Welcome back to Real Life & Rambles, where we are really alive and really rambling. Today we navigate the profound mysteries of favorite colors, animals, and bodies of water... and the meaning behind it all. No pressure, but your answers reveal something deeply existential about you (which we will reveal tomorrow). Along the way, we learn about the delicate politics of stuffed animal favoritis...
Day 17 14.03.2025 23:29
Welcome to today’s episode, where we turn our entire day into an ASMR experience—except instead of relaxing whispers, it’s mostly chaotic noises with mouth smacking and wheeze-laughter in the background. We packed up and left Venice, where one of us achieved peak mosquito defense with Taylor's method of sleep known as "cockooning". We then boarded another fast train to Naples, made two new friend...
Day 16 14.03.2025 29:25
It's day 16 and Perri is embarrassed at her “Happy Birthday” which then spirals into an existential debate on the correct way to say umbrella (um-BRELL-a? UM-brella?) and an impromptu musical number inspired by rain and Rihanna. Is this a musical episode? We navigated a beautifully dreary day in Venice, and debated whether romanticized rain is just wet inconvenience in disguise. Along the way, we...
Day 15 12.03.2025 29:22
Welcome to Voice Notes, where this time, we switch things up by facing each other while recording, which apparently feels like a date (and you, dear listener, are third-wheeling). Topics of discussion include: • A dramatic retelling of how last night’s episode went too long, involved a mild existential crisis, and ended in discussing the marriage advice to never go to bed angry. • Pe...
Day 14 11.03.2025 28:53
Venetian Bed Bugs, Satin Floss, and Poop Anxiety: A Love Story Ah, day 14—where the ramble is ramblin', but the commitment to daily voice journaling remains strong. In today’s installment, we learn that floss matters, and apparently, only satin floss is fit for us (how posh). Meanwhile, the old floss, possibly made of barbed wire, has been retired with great ceremony. But floss isn’t the only thin...
Day 13 10.03.2025 27:54
Welcome to Day 13: Sunday Street Sessions in Venice, where we take you with us through the streets. You may also call this episode, Street Sermons, as we all walk away inspired by Taylor's words as a fill-in street preacher. Did you know Europe has a different daylight savings time than the U.S.? Now you do! Time’s still confusing, but who cares when you’re exploring Venice’s bridges, palaces, an...
Day 12 10.03.2025 28:33
Welcome to the magical land of Venice, where the time zone is a mystery, Sunday school memories are randomly shared, and ancient rules are casually discussed. Taylor and I are deep in their 12th day of adventures, pondering everything like crushed testicles in Deuteronomy to the learnings of our lovely walking tour. The trash situation is also a big deal here, with daily doorbell rings revealing t...
Day 11 08.03.2025 21:58
Welcome to Time Zone Talk, the only show where we announce the time zone everywhere, but that's all. It’s Friday, we’re tired, and we may or may not have spent an unhinged amount of time watching Lost (season three, don’t spoil it). The highlight of the evening? A gourmet dining experience featuring… yummy worms! No, no, not worms. Yummy worms... you'll get it when you hear it. In other news, we...
Day 10 07.03.2025 31:48
It's Day 10 over here! Do you miss us yet? Probably not because if you're listening to us jabber on and on through these voice notes, then you may be more sick of us now than ever. I guess if you think in fractions (like my math-loving mother) then you could think we are 1/9 into the adventure, and you'd be right... but I was never much good at fractions (or math in general), so on we go! We took...
Day 9 06.03.2025 18:52
This episode is bound to be disappointing to listen to... it's a chaotic, effort to chat and cook - but coming to you straight from Venice! We noticed dinner prices being a little bit higher, so naturally we passed a market and thought, "could we too cook a beautiful Italian meal... with absolutely no training or knowledge on how to do so?" Sorry in advance... A few things we learned today! 1...
Day 8 06.03.2025 27:49
Today’s adventure? We walked to the tower, only for Perri to realize the tickets were in her purse… which she didn't have with her. Cue Taylor running back in khakis to save the day. It was museum day! Pisa is a dizzying spiral of sideways fun, with a little spice of intrusive thoughts that this thing might fall over because how long can a leaning tower lean? The rest of the museums were super coo...
Day 6 & 7 (oops) 06.03.2025 5:03
It was bound to happen sometime... but we celebrate that it doesn't happen every time. Enjoy 2 days squished into one voice note! Think of it as twice the fun in half the amount of time (for you)... After a thrilling misadventure with an Italian toll road (with no turn arounds guiding us to a generous detour toward Rome), we escaped to the Tuscan countryside. Rolling hills, vineyards, ancient ston...
Day 5 05.03.2025 25:48
Another day soaking up Florence and noticing things like its unexpected McDonald’s menu, where the chicken nuggets meal comes with mini donuts (because that feels like the right thing to do). Today we enjoyed butchering our coffee order and then enjoying it in one of the town squares while we mapped out our first Saturday of cross referenced "top 10 things to see in Florence," which included Mi...
Day 4 05.03.2025 16:04
Another day, another round of morning chores before taking over a “local” cinema-turned-study-spot like true digital nomads...ugh fine just call us tourists. Then, we confirmed plans for the Pruitt family’s European grand tour (which is exciting enough to make us pee our pants). Metaphorically of course... It was a hungry lunch time, so we said, "one of everything!" which turned out to be a san...
Day 3 04.03.2025 22:48
It’s Day 3, and spirits are high—especially Perri’s, who has somehow eaten so much actual dairy without pooping her pants and throwing up. America, take notes. The day needed to lay low, sponsored by The Quils (DayQuil & NyQuil) which thankfully fueled a 10.5-hour sleep session for the a lingering cold Taylor is beating. But by afternoon, we rallied for a walking tour… which turned out to be...
Day 2 04.03.2025 31:18
Live from Florence (or, as the locals call it… something we are trying to learn to pronounce), we bring you Day Two! Perri potentially had the best sleep of her life and Taylor stared at the ceiling from 1 AM - 6 AM. We explored Florence today! Taylor’s highlight? A glass box of a nun’s neatly arranged bones (because she was a really cool lady). Perri’s was big, big doors...? Eh, I guess you'll...
Day 1 04.03.2025 34:43
Hi & welcome to day 1! If you missed our goofy little recap/intro, we figured the best way to share our three-month adventure abroad is by recording ourselves processing our days—usually in bed and a little delirious (or at least so far). Some days we’ll have way too many stories and other days, not. That’s the fun of voice notes—doing real moments, big or small, together. We hope you laugh w...
Maybe an Intro? 04.03.2025 0:29
Odds are that you're our parents, and if so, you know exactly who we are, that we flew to Europe, and why. Hi mom & dad! But, if you somehow found us and you're not our lovely and loving guardians, here's an intro to our verbal journal as we process this trip, life, and all things in between. Welcome to Voice Notes. :)
