Three & One

Aaron's sons offer profane fire, food is permitted and food is forbidden, certain animals are announced as unclean, another ceremony with significance after childbirth and Jesus talks about where true defilement comes from.

The laws of offerings from the priests perspective, the consecration of Aaron and his sons, the priestly ministry begins and Jesus leads his disciples through tragedy and triumph.

More ceremonies with significance, The Sin Offering, The Guilt Offering, or also called The Trespass Offering and Jesus alleviates suffering spiritually and physically.

Ceremonies with significance, The Burnt Offering, The Grain Offering, The Peace Offering and Jesus continues to preach and teach using parables.

The priestly garments are made, the work is finished, the articles are assembled, the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle and Jesus enlists others to be with Him, as Apostles.

Artists filled with the Spirit begin to make all the articles of the Tabernacle, all pointing to Christ and Jesus calls Matthew into the ministry, in the midst of controversy.

Moses makes new tablets, the covenant is renewed, as well as the regulations, the people are stirred to bring an offering that is more than enough for the work of the Lord,  and Jesus begins His earthly ministry.

Artists filled with the Spirit, laws concerning the Sabbath, the golden calf, Moses meets with God,  God promises His presence and… HE IS RISEN!!!

God gives Moses instructions for glory and for beauty. And, Jesus faces Pilate, takes the place of Barabbas, is mocked, crucified, killed and buried in a borrowed tomb.

Offerings for the sanctuary, The Ark of the Testimony, The Tabernacle and the furnishings of the tabernacle and Jesus prepares for the events of the cross of Calvary.

Laws concerning property, morality and ceremony. Laws concerning justice, keeping the Sabbath and the three annual feasts. God announces The Angel that will go before them, confirms the covenant once again with them. And, Jesus further prepares us for the final accounting.

Moses heads up the mountain to meet with God, God gives him Ten Commandments to give to His chosen people and loads them up with list of all sorts of laws. And, Jesus expounds upon the End Times in great and graphic detail.

Bread from heaven, water from a rock, an attack from the Amalekites, advice from Jethro and Jesus let's us know how He really feels about the Pharisees and the Scribes.

The feast of unleavened bread, the law of the firstborn, the wilderness way, the Red Sea crossing, the song of Moses, the song of Miriam, bitter waters made sweet and Jesus tackles some tough issues.

The plagues continue to intensify, Pharaoh's heart continues to harden, Passover is instituted and Jesus makes His triumphal entry only to encounter opposition from the religious rulers.

Moses and Aaron, in their eighties stand before Pharaoh, and say "Let my people go." Pharaoh's heart is hard, so wave after wave of plagues fall upon Egypt. And, Jesus helps us understand our identity in Him.

Moses argues with God about accepting His call, enters into an awkward arrangement with Aaron, they have their first encounter with Pharaoh and Jesus talks about how hard it is to get into heaven.

Israel multiplies and grows into a mighty nation. A Pharaoh unfamiliar with Joseph afflicts that nation. Moses is born, he's raised by Pharaoh's daughter, murders an Egyptian, flees to Midian, marries a Midianite, meets with God.  And, Jesus shares God's heart for someone caught in sin.

Jacob's final words for his sons before his death and burial, Joseph's final words for his brothers before his death and burial and Jesus gives some of the apostles a glimpse of His glory.

Jacob wrestles with God about going to Egypt. Joseph continues to administrate the famine. Joseph's sons are blessed by Jacob. And, the Apostles wrestle with who Jesus truly is and what exactly He has come to accomplish.

Joseph's brothers return with Benjamin, Joseph tests his brothers, is reunited with his brothers and Jesus interacts with a Gentile. All this and more today on Three and One , as we look at Genesis 43-45 and Matthew 15.
