The Nerfherder Council

We’re back with another Harry Potter episode… and this one is FIRE! (Get it?) This time around we’re dodging dragons, outsmarting merpeople and jinxing all manner of foes in the maze as we tackle the fourth Harry Potter novel/movie – The Goblet of Fire! ——— SUPPORT US – Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/NHCPodcast – Merch: http://shop.nhcpodca...

In space, no one can hear you prequel. “Alien: Earth” premieres on Hulu this week and we’ve watched the first 2 episodes! Major outlets have heaped praise on the show thus far, but what do you think? We’re diving deep with *SPOILERS* in this review! ——— SUPPORT US – Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/NHCPodcast – Merch: http://shop.nhcpodcast.c...

With the proliferation of AI-generated content flooding the internet, it got us wondering… could AI write a better Star Wars story than the Lucasfilm writers themselves? We’re putting our hypothesis to the test! ——— SUPPORT US – Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/NHCPodcast – Merch: http://shop.nhcpodcast.com LISTEN – Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts...

We’re back with the third installment in the wildly popular Harry Potter series: The Prisoner Of Azkaban! While it’s widely regarded by fans as the best entry in the collection, where will the Nerfherders stand? Is it their favorite as well – or is there another Potter story that they prefer? ——— SUPPORT US – Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/NHCPodcast &...

AJ is busy galivanting across Europe, leaving JT in charge of this episode… which is never a good thing – from a certain point of view! To help steer the show this week, we’ve enlisted the help of our very good friend Cris Macht, host of the Machtails From The Cantina podcast! JT and Cris never have any shortage of Star Wars opinions, so strap in for a wide open discussion about...

We’re back live and now that the entire series is in the books… we’re giving our thoughts on the second season of “Andor”! Did it live up to the massive hype, or was it a Death Star-sized letdown? We discuss! ——— SUPPORT US – Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/NHCPodcast – Merch: http://shop.nhcpodcast.com LISTEN – Apple Podcasts: h...

Another Star Wars Celebration is in the books! This one was packed with news and announcements as usual, but there’s still a vocal minority of the fandom who just wasn’t satisfied (as always). We look at what was announced, what the gripes were, and whether there’s any merit to the complaints. ——— SUPPORT US – Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/NHCPodcast...

Even before Marvel’s insanely popular and high-quality Infinity Saga was released, 2003’s Daredevil was widely panned by almost anyone who watched it. But… was it THAT bad? We’re here to tell you that maybe… just maybe… it’s not as terrible as you may remember! (Well, at least JT is…) ——— SUPPORT US – Patreon: https://www.patr...

We’re back with another ranking show! This time we’re digging into the Disney+ catalog to see which of the recent shows hits the mark – or misses worse than a Stormtrooper! ——— SUPPORT US – Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/NHCPodcast – Merch: http://shop.nhcpodcast.com LISTEN – Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-nerfher...

We’re wrapping up our watchalong of the series that bridges “Avengers: Endgame” and “Captain America: Brave New World”! Sam reckons with the mantle of Captain America while trying to prevent atrocities by both the Flag Smashers and the GRC. Let’s watch as the series concludes!

On your left! “Captain America: Brave New World” is almost here. With Sam Wilson taking up the mantle, we’re prepping by looking back at the Steve Rogers era of films! Which one comes out on top?? We could do this all day – but we’ll keep it around an hour-plus.

We’re back with our first show of 2025 and Star Wars’ “Skeleton Crew” has finished its first season! The show is definitely a departure from most of the other new content we’ve gotten in recent years – but is that a good thing or a bad thing??

The NHC is back with our annual holiday episode! This yuletide season, we tackled the age-old debate… which popular Christmas movies are overrated, and which ones are underrated? This year, we’ve left a gift under the fans’ trees and opened up the show to let THEM on camera to give us THEIR opinions! Happy holidays, everyone!

The latest Star Wars series, “Skeleton Crew”, has finally arrived on Disney+! Is it Goonies in space? Is it mostly for kids? Will it go the way of The Acolyte or the way of Andor? Most importantly, how cool is it to get a little kid version of Max Rebo? (Just kidding: they’re not the same species.) We discuss!

We haven’t had a new theatrical Star Wars release since The Rise Of Skywalker… several projects have been canceled… the live-action television series have been hit-or-miss with fans… are we in a new era of The Dark Times – or is there a new hope on the horizon? (See what we did there??)

We’re heading down to the Clown Cafe and getting good and gory with Art the Clown as we give our review of Terrifier 3!

It’s scary season again on the NHC! Since we made ourselves suffer through the awful remake last year, we decided to give ourselves a treat instead of a trick and watch the original “A Nightmare On Elm Street”!

We’re back with our second installment of the Harry Potter series as we dive into Chamber of Secrets! Many fans consider this the weakest entry in the series… but does it deserve that title? Is this an overlooked classic – or is it a poor follow-up to a fantastic debut?

We’re taking a night off from our usual content to discuss and remember the historic and world-changing events of September 11th, 2001.

We’ve got a new Alien movie in theaters, and as usual… the NHC has opinions! We are both big fans of the Alien franchise, so how does this newest chapter stand up against the other entries in this classic sci-fi horror series? Is it as badass as Ellen Ripley or should it be sucked out of the airlock and doomed to the vacuum of space? We discuss while AJ builds a Lego-style xenomorph! (...

Loads of news and reveals came out of Comic Con and the D23 Expo! We’ve got news on Star Wars and Marvel projects galore: Mandalorian & Grogu, Skeleton Crew, Andor Season 2, Avengers, Daredevil, and more! Get hyped for what’s coming and OMG RDJ IS DOOM!?

We’ve finally gotten the new Deadpool film “Deadpool & Wolverine” and we can’t WAIT to talk about it – as well as its two fantastic predecessors! We’re putting the c*caine back under the floorboards next to the cure for blindness and sitting down to talk all things Wade Wilson. Maximum effort!!

We’ve finally gotten the entire season of Acolyte… and we definitely have some thoughts on what we’ve seen and what it could mean for the future of Star Wars! We’ve enlisted our great friend Cris Macht from the Machtails From The Cantina podcast to help class up the show a little bit – and to give HIS opinions on one of the most hotly debated Star Wars shows to date!

Strap in for a spicy episode as we review and recap the first four episodes of “The Acolyte” on Disney+! It’s a bold new era for Star Wars storytelling, and it’s been met with mixed reviews and a LOT of “fan” backlash. We share our thoughts on the show and all the haters who have NO place in this fandom or any other.

It’s an NHC first as we take our first steps into the Potterverse to discuss The Sorcerer’s Stone (or The Philosopher’s Stone, depending on which side of the pond you’re on) – both the movie and the novel! Grab your wands, head to Diagon Alley and put on your robes as we discuss the story that started one of the most massive franchises in pop culture history!
