An unidentified aerial object spotted near Israel's northern border with Lebanon has sparked intrigue after triggering military alerts and prompting a significant response from the Israel Defense Forces. As fighter jets were scrambled and ground forces searched for a possible intrusion, unusual video footage emerged showing a mysterious object that authorities could not immediately identify. Was i...

In the autumn of 1973, the United States experienced one of the most remarkable UFO waves in modern history. From bizarre reports of alleged landings and humanoid occupants to the famous Pascagoula encounter and the Coyne helicopter incident, hundreds of sightings emerged across the country during a period when UFOs seemed to be almost everywhere. Similar high-profile encounters continued througho...

On April 24, 1964, Socorro, New Mexico police officer Lonnie Zamora reported encountering a strange egg-shaped craft resting in the desert, accompanied by two small figures and bearing an unusual red insignia on its side. Moments later, the object reportedly lifted from the ground with a roar and disappeared into the distance. Investigated by the U.S. Air Force's Project Blue Book, the Socorro inc...

The Pentagon has released its sixth tranche of records under the PURSUE initiative, revealing an unusual collection of UAP-related material spanning more than seven decades of American military and intelligence history. For decades, stories of alleged Sasquatch encounters have emerged from some of America's most remote forests—but what happens when the witnesses are park rangers, military personnel, government scientists, and other public officials? And if such reports have reached government agencies over the years, what records might exist documenting what witnesses claimed to have seen? This week on The Micah...

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary on the night of November 2, 1971, as 16-year-old Ronald Johnson was tending the sheep behind his family's farm near Delphos, Kansas. That would all change within a matter of minutes, after a sudden rumbling noise caught his attention, prompting the young farmer to step outside—leading him to a face-to-face encounter with the unexplained.  This week, we examine th...

Since the dawn of the atomic age, UFO reports have frequently involved sightings near nuclear weapons facilities, missile installations, laboratories, power facilities, and other nuclear-related infrastructure, both in the United States and abroad. Some incidents have included more controversial allegations of apparent interference with nuclear weapons or associated systems, although the evidence...

More than six decades after Betty and Barney Hill reported a mysterious encounter while driving through New Hampshire's White Mountains, their story remains one of the most influential—and controversial—cases in UFO history. But what can the surviving evidence, from rare historical documents to archival recordings and surviving U.S. Air Force Project Blue Book records, actually tell us about what...

For decades, sightings of unusual, spherical objects have been reported in our skies. Often described as metallic silver, translucent, or illuminated in fiery orange or red, flying objects matching this description were even reported by Allied pilots over Europe during WWII as a possible new advanced weapon developed by Nazi Germany. Today, the Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office conti...

It began on a summer night in 2011, when someone in the vehicle noticed three odd lights overhead. Curious, one of the occupants stepped out of the vehicle and looked up. Now, according to a witness interview released years later by the U.S. Department of War, what appeared above them was not simply three lights, but a massive, dark, triangular object moving silently across the night sky. This cas...

Since the dawn of the new millennium, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) have gradually evolved from a fringe subject into a legitimate national security issue. Key developments that include the 2000 Illinois police triangle sighting, reporting on classified "black" military programs and the Pentagon's "shadow military," and other events illustrate how intelligence agencies and defense analysts i...

Last week, the Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) released its Fiscal Year 2025 Consolidated Annual Report on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, revealing its latest findings involving unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP). Among its key findings, AARO's report conveys that the Office continues to collect data on hundreds of objects it cannot yet identify and states that some s...

On November 14, 2004, the USS Nimitz Carrier Strike Group Eleven steamed through the clear waters roughly eighty nautical miles west of San Diego beneath cloudless California skies. Unbeknownst to many on board, for nearly a week, operators deep inside the strike group's Combat Information Center aboard the USS Princeton had been watching something they could not explain. Initially dismissed as eq...

The Pentagon has released its fourth tranche of videos and documents related to UAP under its Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE) initiative, with the latest batch of materials now available for viewing at the U.S. Department of War's website. However, the latest revelations only add to a growing number of indistinct videos and other materials that raise more qu...

Sightings of unusual aerial objects are occurring in the airspace above countries worldwide. From lights in the sky, to unusual, structured craft, silent flying triangles, eerie orange and red orbs of light, and a range of other unusual phenomena are observed every week… and witnesses to many of these unusual—and at times unnerving—events frequently share their encounters with the UAP Sightings Re...

For many decades, UFO researchers have obtained unusual samples alleged to be UAP materials recovered from crash events or other instances where physical traces of these anomalous aerial objects were present. In nearly every case where scientific analysis was undertaken, these unusual samples also revealed signatures that suggest Earthly origins. But should this necessarily mean they aren't worthy...

In 1977, a U.S. Navy Pilot who was employed with the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency was en route to Japan after conducting a pair of missions over the Pacific when, suddenly, a lonely midnight flight over international waters took a turn for the uncanny.  This week on  The Micah Hanks Program , we examine one of the best cases in the history of the U.S. intelligence community and its personnel's...

In this installment of The Micah Hanks Program , we look at all the new developments and also provide analysis of the most intriguing files and videos release...

Congressional hearings, whistleblower allegations, and the release of new government records in recent weeks have continued to fuel public questions of whether long-hidden information about UFOs may finally be coming to light. And part of that fascination also extends to Hollywood, with the forthcoming release of Steven Spielberg's film Disclosure Day , which early reviews have called one of the C...

In the 1980s, a small group of citizen FOIA activists went up against the United States Intelligence Community in an effort to secure the release of secret UFO files. That effort, led by the Citizens Against UFO Secrecy (CAUS), was largely successful, although a wealth of secret files related to UAP were withheld by the NSA. However, now there has been a break in the decades-old case, with an anno...

Among the most intriguing cases emerging from the Pentagon's newly launched PURSUE transparency initiative is a 2023 incident involving infrared footage captured by a U.S. military platform operating near the surface of the Mediterranean Sea. The case, which reportedly involved an object making abrupt "90-degree turns" at roughly 80 miles per hour, has sparked renewed debate about what military se...

Recently, the Department of War's newly launched Presidential Unsealing & Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE) initiative has begun releasing long-classified UAP files as part of what officials describe as a historic transparency effort. However, early reactions suggest that the disclosures may raise more questions than answers. While the release includes a mix of newly available material...

Since the early days of UFO studies, claims of sightings involving alleged occupants of these unidentified craft have been logged by both civilian and governmental investigative efforts. After many decades of sighting reports, only a handful of credible observations of UFO occupants have been logged, and the topic remains one of the most controversial issues in UAP studies.  This week on  The Mica...
