Spiritual Firestarter

A kid getting mad over you saying "no"... It is so hard- especially if you had a trauma background to stay calm while NOT giving in and at the same time helping THEM regulate... But it can be done- I cried the first time I saw it work with my son. And this one CRUCIAL question to ask yourself that has completely changed my parenting that will help.

I thought I knew about boundaries! I made this ONE change to a boundary I set recently... And I think we were BOTH shocked how it turned out!

I had to be somewhere, and my kid was ignoring me…  I wanted to scream!!    What happened next shocked the hell out of both of us and maybe you too...

The holidays bring out a special kind of “magic” in family trauma…lol.  So, let me get this straight-  How you parented me is a large part of why I had to heal in the first place, and I’m supposed to help YOU??  The shift that changed everything for me…

Oh shit...I cringed when it happened, and I cringe a little when I share it here lol.  But sharing the truth and how we did differently now is where the biggest changes come and how we help each other.

Most of you don’t know this side of me- I consider it my deepest “dark side”. It got so bad that a shadow version of me that I had "tried" to put to rest, showed up…. I can’t run away from her- she is still a part of me that I must honor to be truly whole…

Awakening has us questioning how we have always done things and sometimes that includes who and how often someone is in your life. Healing helped me find peace within myself so much that I have been able to share it with others which is beautiful...  But Spirit saw a bigger truth I couldn't quite see, and it may surprise you too!

Conscious parenting comes from being a conscious HUMAN first. We are all connected- Not just your kid, anyone we come in contact with affects us all at one point or another. It's said, "everyone has a story"... but we have trouble seeing this in kids when they act in certain ways. The Universe helped me show 2 neighbors why it's so important to look deeper...

My kid told me, "I hate you!" And asked for a “new mommy”…oh that’s fun… Lol Conscious Parenting is understanding you are in a constant house of MIRRORS... 3 stories about my kid triggering me and how to turn them into awesome teaching moments.

Your healing will PISS people off.  It's supposed to! I received a couple of "interesting" comments on my last post that show how we are all playing parts in a much bigger picture...

Down another rabbit hole we go!! I was trying to fit in all these "boxes" most of my life. Why trying desperately to fit into a mental health "box" works out for companies and US in a crazy way. Then, after Awakening and healing, I started noticing something else that I still couldn't fit into...

What I thought was just a "regular" disagreement (lol) between my mom and I was so much more...there is always a bigger picture than we can usually see at first. The wild way Spirit helped me when I investigated the trigger more.

Conscious parenting even around family can be tough, school and other places have another set of stresses. Just because an "authority figure" says something about your kid, doesn't make it truth. There are always going to be teaching moments but watch out for and question these kinds of one-sided takes on your kid or your parenting.

I talked about something to try if someone is yelling at you when it's THEIR fault, well, this time it was MY fault!!   Another real thing to try and why this may be hard for some of us to do (yet).

Awakening and healing helped many of us find our voice and now we want to "help" and "heal" EVERYBODYYYYYY...but I found (painfully sometimes) that we lose the hidden gifts in being quiet...And a real-life way to help you decipher the difference to stay aligned.

One of my closest friends was upset that instead of getting what she's been wanting, her life's been falling apart...She can't see it yet but she's even closer than she thinks.

We've all been there, and I was there just recently- confused on what to do, which move to make...Spirit helped me get to a huge realization, seeing it with new eyes and this one thing to do to get un-stuck.

Someone accused me of BLASPHEMY in the comments of a post I made! Do the "rule books" and programming have us missing the main point?

The Universe was feeling especially spicy yesterday and gave me not 1, but 2 situations with people "losing it" on my son and I and I'm so glad... (kinda lol).

There is a ton of content that shuns certain emotions as "low vibe". I am here to argue that anger is just a sacred as any other emotion as well as how the extra "oomph" women experience during hormone changes, are ALL integral parts of the process to get us to true alignment. 

Can you remember watching that super sad part in a kids' movie when you were little that messed you up (Land Before Time, The Lion King)? Watching a movie with my kid recently gave me an excellent teaching tool on processing emotions.

Conscious and gentle parenting focuses on how we react and treat our kids which is beautiful.  But when we do this...we fill in a major piece of the puzzle for them AND us.

We have been programmed either by the environment we grew up in or just by society as a whole to "hustle". Constant rushing is a real thing with real consequences. There are ways to write a new program and live fully.

Most of us could hide or mask the neglect and traumas we went through growing up. This shadow isn't like the rest, and I didn't realize it until my kid uncovered a trigger.

A comment on one of my posts opened up a can of worms...lol.  And it got me thinking about the balance of "spirituality" that only my trauma background could help me see.
