Recognizing their existence and finding the correct answers to these questions can greatly increase your cube's quality.   To those of you who read through these shownotes, thank you, and please look at the first letter of each sent...

In this episode of Solely Singleton, we start off the season 12 off-episodes (discussed in S12E0 if you haven't yet listened) with a return to the live recording night, and an AMA with Brad and Eric hosted on the patron discord.  During this live Q&A, many questions were answered ranging from details about the changes to season 12 to Brad's vaguely-frightening music habits.   00:30 - Intro 1:30 -...

On this episode of Solely Singleton, Brad and Eric round out season 11 the way they always do: by turning to the patrons!  This season's patron-decided episode was selected to be the top 10 cards in cubes on Cubecobra and Cubetutor.  However, the guys decided to up the ante a bit and have chosen to discuss the top 20 instead!  Enjoy an interesting discussion from a benign-sounding topic.   00:30 -...

On this episode of Solely Singleton, a questionably healthy Brad and very sick Eric get together again to discuss Humans in this archetype spotlight.  Humans are a tribe in magic that seem to get better with every set, largely due to the fact that they just can't stop printing new human cards.  Join the guys as they talk about what you can do to make Humans a viable archetype to draft in your cube...

On this special bonus episode of Solely Singleton, Brad and Eric delve into the deep and silly lore of Warhammer 40k.  This is the first in a planned miniseries of bonus episodes revolving around Warhammer, it's designed half as entertainment and half as a decent starting point for learning 40k's lore.  Don't get hung up on the details though! This episode is mostly for fun and to make fun of your...

On this episode of Solely Singleton, Brad and Eric are joined once again by the ever-amazing Gavin Verhey to discuss his most recent child: Commander Legends.  While this is, indeed, a set designed to be able to draft and play commander in limited, the set is littered with many cards that are potentially cube-worthy.  Joins the guys as they interview Gavin on the set, it's design, and what he had...

On this episode of Solely Singleton, Brad, Eric and Christian return to finish up their Hot Takes on the new set Commander Legends.  For a set built to appeal to Commander players, there are quite a few cards to discuss for cube, so throw some earbuds in and crank that volume for the second part of this 2-parter episode, which will cover the red, green, multicolored and colorless cards left to go....

It's time for Hot Takes once again! It's postmortem time here at Solely Singleton! Join Brad and Eric as they return to Throne of Eldraine, a powerhouse of a set filled with brilliant designs, blundering mistakes, and plenty of cube staples for what may be years to come.  Also, this is a monumental episode of Solely Singleton!  This is Episode 100 of the main episode series, and we want to celebrate. Make sure to stick around until...

On this patron decided episode of Solely Singleton, Brad and Eric are joined by none other than Jeremy White of North 100 podcast fame!  The guys interview Jeremy on Canadian Highlander as a format - what it is, how the points system works, and what you can expect from decks in the format.  In addition, they discuss how cube ideas and canlander deck ideas can sprout from one another.   Remember, w...

On this episode of Solely Singleton, Brad and Eric take on a commonly postulated topic by cube designers: How should one go about adding and removing whole archetypes from their cube?  In addition to that, the guys have a single card discussion on the landfall-enabling Undiscovered Paradise from the set Visions, and how it might be useful to you with the release of Zendikar Rising.   0:30 - Intro...

On this episode of Solely Singleton, Brad and Eric discuss their experiences of using Brad's cube to take on a cube thought experiment/challenge.  That is, to cut your cube down to a 360.  This concept is one that can be incredibly eye-opening from a design point of view.  Not only does it showcase you or your playgroups own biases, but it can also show you which cards or archetypes might be worth...
