Real Hope, Real Talk

Finish well in the work God has for you, for the generations to come, and to receive the eternal reward.

Slowly but SURELY, God unfolds His plan to us according to the faithfulness of His promise. God's Word is perfect, God's Record is perfect, God's Plan is perfect, God's People are (slowly) becoming perfect, and God's World will be made perfect.

God is BUILDING the people of God, for the mission of God. "Taking the land" is about fellowship with God, and the mission of God. "It is the Lord's doing" that accomplishes the mission. "Rest from war" doesn't mean rest from mission.

The world always rages against us, God rules the world in power, and our response is to trust in God.

God wants us to REST in Him, and find our JOY in Him.

Operating on our own understanding leads to vulnerability, the biggest deception is not full lies but half-truths, and deception that results in disobedience leads to destruction.

His GOSPEL is JOY.

God is love, God initiates love, and God's love transforms us to love others.

Perfect peace comes from the Prince of Peace who brings peace with God, brings peace with others, and brings peace with ourselves.

We can HOPE in Jesus because the Incarnation is not His beginning, because He is Supreme above all things, and by trusting the Gospel with unshifting faith.

Praising a sovereign and righteous, gracious and merciful, powerful and providing, faithful and good, redeeming, holy and wise God, as His people.

A renewed relationship with God requires regular reorientation to the worship of God, to the word of God, and to walk with God.

You cannot win if God is not with you, God gives new mercy for the day, and new mercy for the day means straining forward to trust and obey.

Big victories can often lead to great temptations to sin, you never sin alone, you must come clean with your sin, sin always has consequences, look to Christ for mercy in your sin.

Victory belongs to God, judgment belongs to God, what is God's belongs to God, and mercy belongs to God.

The Commander has come victoriously, is fighting for His people, and deserves our undistracted worship.

God's people are set apart by His mercy, redeemed for obedience (not by it), to rest in His blessing and provision, to live for His glory.

We are a forgetful people, yet God helps us remember so that we will know and fear Him.

The path of faith requires reliance on the provision of God, the presence of God, the promise of God, and the power of God.

A real and saving faith recognizes God as God, always risks something on God, has confidence in God's mercy and grace, acts in faith and obedience, and brings you into God's chosen family.

Joshua's obedience and delegation foster trust and action, inspiring the people to follow and support one another.

New beginnings with the God of Promise bring blessings and victory when you delight in the Lord and trust in the Greater Joshua.
