Pop Culture Role Call

Time to learn a bit more about the renegade siblings, Simon and River! The brother/sister genius duo find themselves kidnapped this week by a town of folk needin' a doctor. Which is pretty chill, all things considered. Unfortunately, the chill doctorin' turns into a witch trial quicker n' you can slap a cow. Thanks for listening!

Howdy listeners! I wish we could give you a vague overview of the main plot for this week's episode. Unfortunately, though, none of us were there. Mal got cut by a sword and Kaylee got a sweet pink dress. Something about a duel? Anyway, the rest of us had a pretty uneventful time on the ship playing "cards" for chore coupons. Thanks for listening!

Welcome aboard, listeners! This week we go on a spooky salvage mission. Turns out it wasn't engine trouble after all. The alliance is snooping around us snooping around, and they have some pointed questions. Thank goodness Wash is there to clear things up. Thanks for listening!

This week on Firefly Mal and the crew do one of those classic "train jobs" you hear so much about. I wish I could tell you some fun specifics, but we watch the show in kind of a weird way. All we know is that the moral grey of the job got a little too real and the crew is about to make some powerful enemies. More than we already have. Thanks for listening!

Hello and welcome to episode 2 of Firefly! Larry the Lawman is being a real jerk and gets tossed. Jane pushes the boundaries of him and Mal's work/friend relationship, Book has a crisis of faith, and River wakes up in a strange metal box. Luckily, we have a great pilot who can fly this ship under duress, because we are definitely under duress. Thanks for listening!

Hello and welcome to episode one of Firefly! This week the gang all slap cowboy hats on their heads and make for The Black as they explore this new universe. Well, the conscious ones do anyway. Adventure awaits anyone with a good crew, a reliable ship, and a job that pays. Thanks for listening.

This week the gang says a heartfelt goodbye to the sestras. Thank you to everyone who joined us as we took a journey through Orphan Black! Your support was amazing and your finale questions were perfect. We hope you will join us next week as we kick off our next show, Firefly! Thanks for listening, as always.

Goodbye season 5! In this week's wrap-up we talk through the last episodes of Orphan Black. We take audience questions and re-visit all of our many incorrect predictions from seasons past. Email us any questions you have for the series wrap-up next week! Thanks for listening.

And with this, Orphan Black comes to an end (minus the season AND series wrap-up episodes). Helena welcomes her two beautiful, sand-eating boys into the world. Sarah looks to her future as a mother and a sistra, trying to order her life now that Ms. S isn't in it. There is too much to cover in one paragraph so we will discuss it in length next Wednesday! Thanks for listening.

Howdy, listeners! It's the penultimate episode of season 5 (we think) and the penultimate episode of the whole show (most likely). We don't know how, or why, but Ms. S never made it past the opening credits. Luckily, Sarah has broken Helena out of The Dyad and if anyone can dispense revenge/justice it is her. Thanks for listening!

Welcome to season 5 episode 8, folks! Everyone's favorite brother is back from doing recon and is ready to present his new gallery, themed on the sistras. Hopefully, Sarah and Ms. S can figure out their drama before Felix's art suffers because of the distraction. Now, we just need to get Kira back (again, again..) Thanks for listening!

It's season 5 episode 7 and Alison is finally back in our lives! She even has some new ink and a new outlook on her "shadow self". Meanwhile, Sarah and Cosima are still tracking down some dirt on PT and his island of horror. Kira has been kidnapped again so we definitely need any help we can get! Thanks for listening.

Welcome to season 5 episode 6 of Orphan Black! Alison is still out on vacation, singing classic vacation tunes. Cosima, with a little help from everyone's favorite ghost/rebel, escapes from a basement prison. Meanwhile, Sarah and Art are getting "help" from our very own ethical cosmetics enthusiast Crystal.

It's season 5 episode 5 and Cosima is the star of the show! PT and his cabal of eugenics-obsessed scientists are holding council on the spooky island. Cosima talks her way into the dinner party but the situation isn't quite as it appears. Can she make it out with her life? Has she bitten off more than she can chew? Thanks for listening!

Welcome to season 5 episode 4, folks! Sarah and Ms. S are out on a special mission, hunting down some leverage to hold over Rachel's head. Along the way, Sarah and Helaina are reunited and share a heartfelt moment. Meanwhile, Cosima is sneaking around a spooky island and meeting a "bear" with our friend Mud. Thanks for listening!

Welcome to season 5 episode 3 of Orphan Black! It's a much-needed and long-awaited Alison episode this week and we even get some juicy flashbacks. Alison has a lot of skeletons in her closet. That is partly a metaphor but mostly just a cold hard fact. For better or for worse, Alison is steadying herself and setting her sights on action, ready to bring her family back into the fold. Thanks for list...

Season 5 episode 2 is here! Sarah is scrambling to keep Kira out of Rachel's grasp but the walls are closing in. All of the sistras are being trapped or manipulated in one way or another, except for maybe Helaina? We don't quite know where she and Donnie are at the moment. On the bright side, Cosima has a cure in her body and is rubbing shoulders with the tip-top of the Neolution pecking order. Th...

And here we are in season 5 episode 1! Wow stuff is gettin' kind of weird. Sarah is limping, bleeding and beaten, through a strange forest. But, she isn't alone. Alison is abducted by Art's terrible and rude new "partner". Meanwhile, Cosima seems to be a little drunk on a cool evil-genius science mystery. Thanks for listening!

It's time for the season 4 wrap-up! Big thanks to all the fans who submitted questions for us to answer. Next week begins the fifth and maybe or maybe not final season of Orphan Black. As a quick note: the most recent allegations against Joss Whedon came out between recording and releasing this episode. We fully support and stand with Charisma, Ray, Amber, Michelle, and all those who have joined t...

Season 4 episode 10 has come and gone! It turns out, the show didn't end so you got us for a couple more months, folks. Alison has a phone call and a gun. Cosima has the prospect of a cure dangled in front of her like a carrot on a stick only to be pulled away at the last second. Meanwhile, Sarah is on science island with a gun, an attitude, and a lack of regard for Rachel's well-being. Thanks for...

It's season 4 episode 9 this week and character arcs are starting to wrap the heck up! Sarah and Art "help" Rachel and Ira track down one of Ev's escaped trial subjects. Cosima is on a spooky science island making a baby. Meanwhile, Alison is having a crisis of faith, trying to find stability with her recently incarcerated husband. Thanks for listening!

It's season 4 episode 8 and it's Allison's time to shine - literally. Hopefully she's up to it because Donnie's life is in the hands of a unhinged Neolutionist. Thanks for listening!

It's season 4 episode 7 and everyone is feeling pretty low. Sarah is on a bender after the Kendall travesty, trying to find comfort in her past. Alison is struggling to open up to Donnie, which gets even harder now that he is in "police custody". Cosima is stopped mere seconds before making a medical mistake with the promise of Delphine details. Thanks for listening!

Orphan Black season 4 episode 6 is in the bag and comes with another casualty. Sarah, with the support of Cosima and Kendall, makes a play that breaks bad. The maggot-bot is extracted in a tense moment. Cosima acknowledges her life is ticking away. Meanwhile, Alison (we think) had a busy day at the office. Thanks for listening!

It's Orphan Black season 4 episode 5 this week and Cosima is taking point on recon. Alison is getting some unwanted police attention for her previous illicit dealings. Sarah is having a mother/daughter day, but not before getting to the bottom of "The Adele Mystery". Thanks for listening!
