Great chat with Simon Le Bon, ahead of the Duran Duran Australian tour 2010. The New Romantic legend himself.

Using 2 Nagra reel to reel tape machines, I put this together in my lounge room in Newcastle East one night in 1984.. Wacky and very 1984. It was for broadcast on 2NUR-FM "Radio Stupid"

From Triple J Breakfast Show 1990. Rude Girl wants a date with Boss Skinhead. Maynard is happy to help. Vale Boss Skinhead.

Voice of the Beehive played toured Australia in 1992 and rocked my world during their Sydney shows in 1992. Voice of the Beehive sisters Tracey Bryn & Melissa Brooke Belland, as well as Daniel “Woody” Woodgate (Madness) blew into the Triple J studios one Friday afternoon. Wearing fairy outfits and waving magic wands with Woody sporting a huge grin, I knew this interview was going to be fun. It was...

Bunga Bunga 38 brings together the raw emotion of Tim Ferguson pining for his beautiful wife and Maynard bustin’ some new dance moves while feeling funny in his water about touching laundry. Tim has some advice for Government, God and even the occasional listener. Maynard.com.au

In Bunga Bunga 37 Tim & Maynard journey to the heart of Australian Labor Party fundraising territory as Tim hosts the evening and finally has an opportunity to meet Clementine Ford the keynote speaker. A show fu...

In 1942 the Japanese invasion of Australia seemed imminent and inevitable. Scorched Earth plans to deny the Japanese invaders were drawn up across Australia and Sue Rosen uncovered the very detailed New South Wales Scorched Earth plans that had been forgotten and misfiled at the end of the Second World War. The plans drawn up included everything from starting aggressive bush fires to hinder the Ja...

The pantomime horse of Australian podcasting Bunga Bunga 36 is back in your ears with a burst of wisdom, advice and poor life choices that you can take to the bunk. That isn’t a typo. Tim Ferguson is earning dancer dollars with a butter dish while Maynard is earning a high distinction in misdirection by declaring Jedward the winner of this year’s Eurovision. The Doug Anthony All Stars had to cance...

The Dynamic Hepnotics cut a rug across Australia & New Zealand in the 7 years they played across our wide brown land. And they are returning for 3 shows only. 1 in Sydney, 2 in Melbourne. These days they are busy people with busy music careers, so I put my foot in the door of the lead singer and all round playboy, Continental Robert Susz, at his swanky Kings Cross apartment. An apartment that Adam...

It’s always a fun day when Bunga Bunga comes to play. We had a small audience gather at the Madame Frou Frou Cafe for this recording of Bunga Bunga. Tim Ferguson was his usual showboating self, and he wasted no time taking names and assigning blame to those who richly deserve it. Tim thinks the Australian desert would look better without that big red rock blocking the view and contemplates destroy...

The unedited interview sounds from Maynard and Cliff Richard squashed together in a small hotel room with producer Chris Norris during Cliff Richard’s 1991 Australian tour. Cliff answers questions from listeners honestly about his music, make-up, miming and celibacy.

There's tension in the Bunga Bunga air as Tim Ferguson gets snippy about free speech and your mouth. Planet Maynard is up for an award and Tim has written the perfect speech, win or lose. Tim & Maynard solve the listeners problems, find out what's in Maynard's Bug Out Bag and spot Hilary Clinton in a beer truck. We even have the brief return of the unemployed screen writer of Glebe, while Tim give...

Collette had a huge hit in Australia in 1989 with her cover of the Anita Ward disco classic Ring My Bell which was co-produced by Pee Wee Ferris and Kirk Godfrey. Far from a one hit wonder, Collette Roberts had 2 other charting singles off her first Raze The Roof album and a reasonable amount of nightclub plays for Upside Down & This Will Be (Everlasting Love)from her second album Attitude in 1991...

Maynard & Tim Ferguson solve listeners problems, make proclamations, and take you to their live hang out at Sydney Skeptics In The Pub. Tim Ferguson gets mouthy about wrestling, Clementine Ford, and in Tim’s Historical Hypothetical, tells how he would have made a better Hillary Clinton. Maynard is going to be in a movie, while Tim finishes writing his second movie script. What is the Festival of t...

The Dandy Warhols toured Australia in 2009 and played the Fat As Butter festival in Newcastle. It was loud and old people complained, so there was no downside to the show whatsoever. The Dandy Warhols were on tour through Kansas just before they set off to Australia and lead singer Courtney Taylor Taylor spoke about his beach wardrobe and the chances of getting good takeaway food late at night in...

Maynard listens to some seasonal favourites from Molly Meldrum to The Jackson 5.

Joanne had the biggest selling Australian single of 1999 with Jackie. A song that Blue Zone, Lisa Stansfield’s band had covered. Joanne’s version sold over 70,000 copies worldwide. Joanne Accom had belted out the vocal as a know-it-all 18 year old and now finds herself touring in 2016 with The Vengaboys, Tina Cousins, Whigfield, Sonique & Crystal Waters. How did that happen?
