Luke Hand Diary

Work. Told my manager that I’ll have some things to show her soon and that I’m feeling confident and productive. She said, “I’m so happy!” And isn’t that all any of us really want to hear from our manager? Sox is getting less scared out on the deck when I go out to feed them. Came right up to the door. I know I'm late to the party on this, but I'm newly obsessed with the Photos widget on iPhone. T...

I loved being snug under my heavy blankets yesterday so much that I took all my blankets from atop my doona and folded them in half - doubling the weight and cosiness. Was so weighty and nice. I’m investing in some weighted blankets soon. Was amazing. Who needs bedfellows! Work. Another project due. Didn’t quite get it done. Had a coffee at like 6. Could be a long night. Catch up meeting with mana...

Was nice and cosy this morning under the heavy blankets. Work. Should be a busy couple days this week. Saw a magpie slurp a huge worm up like a piece of spaghetti from the lawn. Walk with mum after work. Windy enough to blow the paint off of a brush today. Saved three lives by donating plasma. Was a quick donation. Early night. Big day tomorrow. Haven’t had dinner for two days in a row now. Wouldn...

Work - long day! Cursed with IT issues. I knew I had a job due today and did chip away at it a bit over the weekend, but I thought I had a fast helper rostered to work today, but I didn’t. I did much of this job myself and didn’t get it finished until after 10 PM. Got it done tho! Being busy with this kind of threw me off my plan to eat well. Missed dinner. May have to cancel tomorrow’s plasma don...

So windy and rainy overnight. Sounded so good at 4 AM. Lazed around. Couple of chores. Bit of pro bono. Did a kick-flip. M: 5. E: 5. L: -5. 😐

Up super early. Did dishes. Followed simple Max YouTube tutorials. Could be good. Big walk. The line where the river coloured water meets the sea coloured water was very clear. Love when it’s like that. Pottered around at home. Pretty quiet day. Will get busy tomorrow! M: 6. E: 6. L: 1. 😀😎😇😆😐

Work. Bit going on. Made the day go quickly. Kanye livestream was interesting. Walk. Disappointing chips at dinner. Cousin’s kid said my song (I’m a Good Guy) is his new favourite song. M: 5. E: 5. L: 0. 😇😐😑

Slept terribly and was wide awake at 3 AM. Should have got up then really. Some weird dreams. Felt weird in the morning and realised I’m that I didn’t take my medication yesterday. That might explain things. Great sunrise this morning. Beautiful colours. Work. Decent day - but hit a wall. I should cut back down on the snacks soon. But as far as vices go, snacking isn’t the very worst. Topless phot...

Work. Getting a bit busier, which is good. Fairly good vibe about work lately, mostly (knock on wood). Had a fair bit of pep today, compared to lately. Hopefully I’m on a bit of an upswing - in terms of mood and energy. New Kanye album (I think?) announced today - so excited! Just did a walk with mum after work. Bath, snacks, checking in on my tribe, etc. M: 5.5. E: 6. L: 0. 😀😇😎

Work. Jonty got his POOP shirt. Reaction was a bit confused, I think. Maybe he’ll come around to it. Lockdown extended a week. Pish. Walk with mum and Ash. Trod in dog mess. Had some great hail this afternoon. Froze some snowballs. Ate a bunch of Ice Magic. Had been a while. Saw a wave splash the height of Penguin Island from the back. Very choppy and big waves today. M: 4. E: 4. L: 0. 😐😑😇😆

Work. Horseradish at lunch was delicious. On a walk break, spoke to a cute older lady feeding magpies as reward for singing to her. Spoke with a constable about the homophobic sign - the wheels of justice are moving on having that removed from display. Walk with mum after work. Catch up chat with Sai. Body temp: 36.7. Weight: 78.1. Blood pressure: 129/77. Blood glucose: 7.9. M: 5. E: 5. L: 0. 😐😆

Slept in until after 10.. Been a while since I’ve done that. Watched the McCartney 3, 2, 1 thing. A few good bits. Had an audio flashback to listening to Penny Lane while walking down Harris St towards the bridge. That has to be one of my earlier specific memories of listening to a specific song and just loving it. Would love to know what year that was. Could be either Walkman, discman, or MP3 pla...

Up early. Big walk. Had so many coffees. New Viz. Cooked. Snacks. Nap. Laundry. Straightened up a bit before the boss gets back from QLD late tonight. Loving my book. Loving this Remko Scha album. Loving this podcast series I found - ya man has the soupiest Irish accent. Have to listen at close to 1x to understand him. Did some thinking and: I think I may have to just accept that my friendship wit...

Work. Slow day. Did a sage smoking of the home. Watched a kestrel hovering in place over the trail. Looked just like the @ifYouHigh video of recently. So cool. Plants in the garden really came through in the last couple of days. Hope they live and creep and fill that rocky area. Inside plants still ok after being put in soil I think. Nice. Wanted to watch Richmond get thrashed and their era slamme...

The day that was for Thursday, 15 July 2021.

I’m isolating.

A pretty simple day for National Simplicity Day 2021.

Announced on Twitter: I am gay!

A little beanie had fallen off a little penguin in town so I put it back on.

Dani pointed out lots of edible plants the whole way. So cool.

Nice bath.

Georgie arrived for a visit! We took a walk.

New eps of Your Own Backyard dropped. Woah.

Bought a rosewater and pink clay soap - smells great.

David said that I’m a one of a kind guy.
