Lost Light

If you have been out of wrestling for a bit and are getting roped into this PPV by maybe some friends from out-of-state this is the podcast for you. Caleb and Jim run down the card. We give you some of the backstory that matters and give you our prediction. It's going to be huge. • Kris Statlander vs Leila Hersh • Hook vs QT Marshall • Jade Cargill vs Tay Conti • Matt Hardy, Andrade El Idolo & Isi...

Raw and unedited 27 minutes of Caleb and Jim gushing about this week's Dynamite. Everything getting setup for Revolution and we are excited for all the matches. But what is going on with this MJF turn? Are we supposed to feel empathy for him because that crowd wasn't having it at all.

Caleb & Jim react to the news that Cody Rhodes is really actually leaving AEW. We also talk a bit about Dynamite but mostly we get excited about the opportunities that are getting unlocked for Revolution.

Special guest Pham joins us for a special episode on Wrestle Kingdom 8. The New Japan Pro-Wrestling event that got Pham hooked on Japanese style wrestling and got him back into the wrestling.

Caleb: “This movie sucked. I’m sorry I’ve been holding that in.” Jim: “I’m glad you said it.” EXPLICIT CONTENT WARNING. WE TURNED UP THE SWEARS. A night when the promos outshined the matches? It happened. Moxly returned to the ring and he looks like he's ready to fight. The opening mixed match showed us once again that Intergender Wrestling can and does work, but will anybody let them? Our Murderhawk Monster coming back not just with a squash match but a legit fight. Cody. Cody. Cody. Cody. Creating the chaos that he likes best.

Honestly, this movie makes me feel bad for the other movies that came between The Fast and the Furious and this. Just. Man. They really feel like filler. Justin Lin is operating on another level. Caleb catches Jim up on the previous weeks events and we chat about the New Years Smash. We get a ton of promos and a ton of large team matches to supply drama for the first night on TBS.

Winter is Coming. Spoilers: they called the night Winter is Coming and they never used the Sting snow entrance. Great lengthy match between Page and Danielson. The TBS women’s tournament is on hold?

Caleb and Jim talk about the 3rd film in the Fast & Furious franchise. What happens when a lovable loser crashes a 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo through a residential construction site causing untold damage to private property? He gets sent off to Japan to live with his dad and hang out with Lil' Bow Wow, famous for his 2000 track Bow Wow (That's My Name), while learning to drift race faster than Rey...

Strong start with Brian Danielson and Alan Angels concluding in a bonkers Cody Rhodes and Andrade El Idolo match we had to see to believe.

Can we apologize enough for the break between episodes? Do you actually care? As an olive branch we offer up to you the first Fast and the Furious movie that Vin Diesel refused be involved with. Paul Walker and Tyrese Gibson laughed all the way to the bank. AEW in Chicago and show created for CM Punk fans who just want to see him punks around. Team Taz News! Chicago Hates Cody!

National Cowboy Shit Day. Here we are experimenting with a different format. Just a quick hit, no frills, minimal editing to talk about Wednesday Night Dynamite.

I make it a point not to apologize for things I put out into the world but this episode didn’t go great. There is nothing memorable on the soundtrack so the intro/outro is garbage. Neil was having trouble with his recording gear. Very little of the plot of this film is memorable. BUT we had a great time hanging out and talking about the final film of the LaBeouf/Transformers Universe. John Malkovi...

Season 2 of Lost Light kicks off with a bang and sees us with our first non-Transformers episode. We are going to watch each and every film in the Fast & Furious franchise to join us as we gush over Vin Diesel but also question the efficacy of the crinimal empire that Dom is trying to create. Of course we've got our AEW recap section as well, so use those chapter markers if you want to skip right...

Lost Light, Vol. 4. The final volume of James Roberts epic Transformers run and we are here for it. We aren’t happy that this story has come to an end but it is better to have read and lost then never to have read at all. It is bittersweet. Thanks for coming along on this journey with us, but we aren’t going to stop while we are just getting on a roll. What does the future hold? We are going to co...

It's been a while so we are a little rusty and there is a lot to cover in this book so we end up doing more summary than commentary but make no bones about it this is an extremely well crafted volume and serves as a great stepping stone to the grand finale. We understand that maybe you are just here for the Transformers talk so use those chapter markers to get to the stuff you want to hear. This i...

Can IDW’s Lost Light Volume 2 hold up to Volume 1? Does anybody care about wrestling talk that is now more than a week old? These questions and more might be answered in this episode. Transformers: Lost Light, Vol. 2 from IDW. This volume collects Issues #7–12. We get around to talking about this volume, but first we talk about wrestling. Like, a lot. Like, a sorry not sorry amount of wrestling. Talking almost exclusively AEW because that’s the only promotion that Jim really pays attention to. But maybe the world doesn’t need another wrestling podcast? Use the chapters to skip ahead to the Transformers Comics talk if that’s your thing. You may be shocked...

Neil returns to watch another Transformers movie with Jim and Caleb. Is this the most forgettable film of all time? Possibly. Jim refuses to accept that Skids is Skids. Caleb misquotes the movie twice. Neil constantly refers to Wikipedia to keep his facts straight. Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox reprise their roles and continue to run. Megatron comes back to life. Optimus Prime dies. Optimus Prime com...

They said it couldn't be done. That two kids from from different sides of the east coast with little to no podcasting experience couldn't possibly record a podcast covering all 10 volumes of Transformers More Than Meets The Eyes. Well we did and then some. Come listen to us discuss the grand conclusion to this title and hear Caleb tell us again for the millionth time that it was his favorite volum...

SUPER EXCLUSIVE BACKUP AUDIO EDITION
Close your eyes and imagine for a moment that your normally reliable computer starts to read More Than Meets The Eye and gets caught up in the anti-functionalist movement and refuses to record the audio of a podcast as a political statement. Now open your eyes and your ears because that’s what happened and thankfully we have a backup recording that isn’t perfe...
