Message from Pastor Steve Khang. We are taught to not judge others, but how often are we judging ourselves? This is a weird time, we all need to learn to be kind–first and foremost to ourselves. 

Message from David Beck. We often feel convicted to do certain things but aren’t always successful at doing them. When we revisit and check the foundations of our faith, it will help us to assess and determine how we live out our convictions. 

Message from Pastor Steve Khang. In a time when it’s so easy to be unhealthily isolated and self-focused, we are reminded that God desires to bless and for us to be a blessing. We are invited to wade into this river of blessing which runs both ways. 

Message from Pastor Steve Khang. One of the reasons we don’t thrive is because we are so forgetful. Giving thanks and remembering the goodness and provision of God is so key to thriving in difficult times, often in that order. 

Message from Pastor Steve Khang. We may have different responses to stress and anxiety during the pandemic. The key to combating anxiety is learning to rest in the care of our loving Gardener. 

Message from Pastor Steve Khang. Thriving in times such as these depends heavily on having the proper environment to receive and hold onto the Word of God. 

Message from Pastor Steve Khang. Will we always have inequality and injustice in this world? How do we maintain zeal to act when it seems injustice will always be a reality? The answer: we have a reality that is more enduring and real than that of injustice–the kingdom of God. 

Message from Pastor Steve Khang. In the work of the spirit, we will bump up against the dark. It can be depressing to see how hard real change is and how prevalent darkness can be. But the light cannot be overcome, Jesus is our hope for change, not our ability to change things. 

Message from Pastor Steve Khang. It’s easy to make a statement or show some outrage at injustice. Harder to see justice truly victorious. Jesus was not concerned with PR or assuaging his conscience, he was concerned with those who were oppressed and bringing about true justice. 

Message from Pastor Steve Khang. When we see injustice, a natural response is anger. Anger can be destructive but the desire to see those injustices repaired can lead us on the path to fulfilling God’s justice.

Message from Pastor Steve Khang. We are frequently unable to know and to do the will of God. The culprit–our minds. Good news–our minds can be renewed, we can be transformed, and we can know how good the will of God really is.

Message from Pastor Steve Khang. We hate suffering and avoid it at all costs. Jesus accepted his cross. It is the means to the greatest transformation, and it is perhaps what a disciple most needs to learn. 

Message from Pastor Steve Khang. We all imitate someone. We are disciples of Christ, but we often can grow in discipleship through imitating those who are following Christ themselves. Who are you imitating? 

Message from Pastor Steve Khang. The peace of God is not something we can self-generate, but it is promised when we practice the way of Jesus. Where are your eyes focused today in these uncertain times? Would you learn to train them upon the Prince of Peace? 

Message from Pastor Steve Khang. The missional life is not always practical or efficient. We are inspired to share an extravagant love with others because of the extravagant love Jesus has already given us.
