Away from Christ our leader is Satan. Away from Christ our law is sin and death. Away from Christ our loyalty/allegiance is to the world, self and ultimately that which is passing away. But in Christ there is freedom with a New Leader, a new law and a new loyalty! Take a listen!

Jesus was and is very concerned that souls hear the truth and obey it! Matthew 10 details the call, the charge, the rejection and the acceptance of the Gospel message. Truly the Gospel unites and divides. Those who receive the gospel message are blessed! Take a listen!

In this episode I overview 6 major assumptions of atheism. These are things that can't be ignored or pushed aside easily. For me these are "un-get-over-able" assumptions that when considered carefully expose the weakness of the atheistic position. Take a listen!

There are brethren who have done great work in years past. Case in point, past evangelist here at Washington Avenue, Kenneth Gossett has written many newspaper articles that are now published in a spiral bound book titled "The Gospel in Newsprint." Under the heading of "Newsprint" I will be using these articles on my podcast channel to teach the gospel. This episode is an introduction to this new...

Most who profess Christianity vehemently argue that baptism ONLY serves as a public testimony of faith. In this episode with the title "If Baptism isn't For Remission of Sin.." I pose some questions that should be answered before one can honestly conclude that baptism doesn't have anything to do with remission of sins. Take a listen!

What does the word Prophet mean? What was the mission and message of the prophets? In my series of 10 Minute Overviews of each book, as I approach the "Major Prophets" I thought it beneficial to address these matters. I think you'll enjoy this episode and think it's informative. Take a listen! (It's actually 12 min long)

There's no one just like King Jesus. He alone is the Son of the living God. Jesus has the authority to look and see faith, extend forgiveness, evil hearts and provide sufficient evidence. What does this mean for us? Take a listen!

In this 10 min segment I discuss what I think to be the best arguments to substantiate the idea that Genesis 1-11 are to be taken literally. Take a listen!

How can Christians support government leaders that have views and beliefs totally opposite of ours? Are world leaders appointed by God even when they will be evil [e.g., Hitler, Stalin, Kim Jong Un] etc? Why would God appoint evil leaders? Who should I vote for? Take a listen!

I recently saw someone make the charge "the way to heaven is through Jesus, not a church." Their comments that followed that statement not only were disparaging to the body of Christ but also demonstrated that they misunderstood the nature of the church and salvation. In this episode I dissect multiple false ideas associated with Christ, the church and salvation. Take a listen!

This is just a taste of some of the reasons why the theory of evolution is commonly accepted. Hopefully this will wet your appetite to study this more! Take a listen!

Throughout Scripture we see Satan waging war against God, humanity and God's people. Why is he doing what he's doing? Is he unaware of his fate? Does he think he can beat God? In this episode I share some good responses I received from my trusted friends as well as my own thoughts coupled with God's holy word. Take a listen!

Solomon writes a song about the intimacy in marriage. The lyrics of this "book" are erotic but not pornographic. Instead it tells of two lovers who express deep respect for one another in a mutually exclusive relationship. Neither the man [Solomon] nor the woman [the Shulamite] is embarrassed about the desire for sexual expression with the other (1:2, 4; 7:8-9). Such does not surprise the one who...

In this episode I'm joined by my good friend Steven Ford from Benton, AR. What is God's grace, what does it do, how can I get it? Without it, all accountable people are doomed to hell because of sin. There are certain truths about God's grace that we've got to get right. I think you'll find this discussion very interesting and insightful. Take a listen!

In this episode I read, review and comment on a good article written by a brother in Christ, Luke Taylor entitled "Consider Skipping the Next Christian Conference...Here's Why." This is a discussion that needs to be had! This episode has challenged me and I think it will others who hear it! Take a listen!    https://www.2belikechrist.com/articles/perhaps-skip-the-next-christian-conference?mibextid...

In this episode I focus in on how Jesus provides peace for the storms of life. The Lord Jesus loved His disciples then and He loves us today. There are storms in life but we must have faith if we're going to endure! What is it about Jesus that means He can provide peace? Take a listen!

The word science gets thrown around a lot. What is true science? In this episode I also contrast the fundamental differences between the creation and evolution models. I do this in 10 minutes. Take a listen!

A deep subject yet there are principles in God's word that can guide us in the right direction. Sin is so very bad. No-one goes unaffected, including innocent children. Why doesn't God just stop the suffering? What are we doing to help minimize it? Take a listen!

Continuing in my series from the Gospel according to Matthew I consider what I consider to be the key passages from the Sermon on the Mount that define the sermon and totally change who we are today. These four passages include righteousness, perfection, priorities, relationships with others and obedience to Christ. Take a listen!

What profit does a person have from all their labor in which they toil under the sun? Solomon found that all earthly pursuits without God are wasting time and do not truly fulfill. Ecclesiastes teaches that the greatest good and self actualization come through knowing and obeying God. FYI, the podcast is actually 11 min and 18 seconds. Don't hate me. Take a listen!
